I have played every Mystery Case Files and just recently played Prime Suspects and Huntsville (for the umpteenth time) So they are still fresh in my mind. I was so delighted to see aspects of those games in this one. Along with more characters from past games.
Haven't finished the game yet. I intend to take my time and just enjoy a trip down memory lane.
Thank you developers!
I recommend this game!

All all the games in this series are beautiful and interesting even though I've seen the movies/tv shows (Stargate, Lord of the Rings, Jumanji)
But what I really want to know - what really frustrates me - is why on earth don't the hero/heroines at least hang onto the scissors/knife/sharp objects, rope or rocks even? I know I would.
It's a pretty common gripe of mine in ALL hidden object games. We can go through endless explorations and moves to find other objects. Hang onto the rope and knives. You WILL use them again at some point. It is logical for people who go on adventures to at least be prepared (boy scout motto)
I joke that my backpack has enough survival stuff to get through a zombie apocalypse. I could light a fire, signal for help, clean and bandage a wound, use a compass, and cut almost anything. My brain rejects unprepared "adventurists"

This game reminds me of The Exiled Prince and The Curse of Briar Rose. Not just referencing the characters in those two but having elements of them that I absolutely loved.
Return of the Salt Princess has beautiful graphics. Interesting puzzles. I love hidden and morphing objects and Salt Princes has HOS more like the two games I already mentioned.
Kudos to the creators for giving us such a beautiful and enjoyable game. Please keep them coming!
I recommend this game!

There are games I "like" or are "ok" and games I "love"
None of the games I love are darker games.
I love Dreampath games. They are gorgeous games that are fun to play and I look forward to playing them again and again.
Game makers are going darker and darker with their games with really disturbing content. Yes they stay in your mind, if that's the goal, but I don't really want to play them again. I really hope developers don't do that to the Dreampath games because I am looking forward to more in the series.
I recommend this game!

I had just finished Escape from Ravenhearst prior to playing this one. As you know EFR is a dark game. So Shadow Lake was perfect for me and I was sad it ended. Definitely will be playing this one again and again
I recommend this game!
