I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by this game. I've purchased some of this developer's other games and my interest waned when they started doing cookie cutter versions of their other solitaire and mah jong games.
But I always enjoy the sharp, clear, and bright artwork and their music choice this time around was pleasant. I wasn't thrilled with some of their sound effects, but I changed that. And if it was not for the fact that I love Christmas games - the Hawaiian in me is right at home with this tropical Christmas game! - and that this has the "just right" playability (not too hard, not too easy, just right...), I probably would have not given this game a try. As it was, I did try it, and I honestly cannot complain too loudly.
The Clutter games are one of the few games from BFG that I have played over and over again throughout the years. They can be absolutely maddening at times, but they keep me so entertained and intrigued. In "Clutter Evolution: Beyond Xtreme," you have your extreme clutter games, mah jong and "sort of" mah jong, sliders, "GapWar" games - among others - all varieties that have been tweaked to give us a greater challenge.
This developer is ALWAYS upping the level of challenge - one of the very few who consistently challenge the players. There are no cookie-cutter games here!!! Some of the clutter objects are the same as in previous games, but there are a number of new images and music along with all of the memorable quotes. This game is a definite "must have" for my collection!
There was no doubt that I would be purchasing this latest Jewel Match game by Suricate Software when I saw that it was the new release for the day. For me, this is the gold standard in match-3 games by which I judge all others! The graphics are awesome (even on my older computer); the music is always beautiful and relaxing; and, variable levels of difficulty with my choice of mode of game play (relaxed, time, or move) turn the game into the level of challenge I desire.
The collector's editions always make the Jewel Match games worth the price. Extra jigsaws, HOGs, and scenes add to the length of time I enjoy playing game. The additonal customization options (music, mouse pointer) always compliment the artwork and add to my level of enjoyment. One final finishing touch the developer added was the peacock that spreads its tail feathers at the close of every round! I know I'm gushing at this point, but the game is really over the top for me!
I had to do a double-take this morning when I saw this game title! "The Lost Amulets" series of mah jong games (and HOG etc.) is my hand's down all time favorite on Big Fish! Even without playing a few rounds on the demo, there was never any doubt about buying this game. I've always loved the artwork, and the music - and I've always been able to lose myself in these games! "Lost Amulets: Four Guardians" does not disappoint! The games - and bonus games - have not really changed, but this has always been such a beautiful game. One thing that kills me on mah jong games are tilesets that are "visually difficult." Having had a brain injury, an appealing and playable tileset can make or break a game for me. This game is a winner!
... a game comes along that provides a new twist to an oldie but goodie. Kensho brought back memories of the little slider puzzles and Rubik's cubes that I whiled away the hours on when I was young(-ish!). This is such an enjoyable and beautiful little puzzle adventure! And just like a previous reviewer mentioned - be sure to use your headphones and lose yourself for a while!
The Hiddenverse series of games are absolutely beautiful! Since playing the first game, I did not hesitate to purchase it along with each game that followed. It is the visuals and the fun factor that have me hooked on these games. The steampunk theme to the objects, with its unique and well-crafted artwork, will keep me playing and coming back for more!

I love match-3 games that "play" well - that are smooth and flowing; that "feel" right when you are making matches, etc. Too, the graphics are really well done and, though it's not the most challenging game out there, it is fun and relaxing to play.. The one thing I'd love to see "corrected" is adding a custom cursor(s). Trying to follow a system cursor in this beautiful little game can be difficult and is kind of disappointing considering the level of the game's visuals. Maybe the follow-up to this game can fix that or maybe we can actually get an update?
From the advertisement, the game looked fresh and inviting, but when u actually downloaded it, u could see that u had seen it before. Not that this was a bad "before version" ... to me, it was comfortable, like slipping my feet into a pair of old slippers... Being "up there" in age, things like being able to adjust the tile sets to something comfortable to distinguish and to be able to set the lighting and background so that the glare doesn't cause my "no lines" to give me a headache while I'm playing the game -- these things matter. As for being able to play the game... this game will challenge all comers.
