Just an all around super fun game! I would have given it 5 stars had it been a chapter or two longer - guess that's a backward compliment - give it a lower rating because I wanted more!
Enjoyed finding useful objects in different locations (and via a map vs. wearing out sneakers walking back and forth was a nifty change) and super enjoyed the challenge of diagnosing the patient's illness at the end of each chapter! Knowing there's a "quiz" at the end really keeps you paying attention as you play!
Though a fairly simple game, many items were challenging to find & the game has a nice element of humor - especially the irony of HO scenes in Intensive Care - WOW what a messy hospital! The characters are also likeable though pretty generic - the latter makes it easier to "know" them right away.
Is it new, innovative, unique? No, no and no - and that's what makes it perfect! The latest Big City is a shining example of "If it ain't broke..." They came out with the "Story" version for those wanting a new twist to a time tested favorite & left the Classic version alone! Brava devs!
This newest BC installment is just as silly, colorful, fun, educational and enjoyable as its many predecessors. Don't let the "straight HOness" of it fool you - it's quite the challenge to get all those nifty acheivements!
So warm up your mouse hand for some quick clicks, sit back, zone out and enjoy this one! Happy gaming!

I was minutes into this game when I decided it was going to rate 5 stars in MY book - and that hadn't changed by the end! No noticeable glitches in play, runs well!
Lovely graphics and objects are appropriate to the place and feel of the game. The story is interesting and unfolds nicely as you go & each character has a very distinct personality & they tie into each other's lives.
Lots of HO scenes, which I like & some very unique puzzles too. Starts out pretty straight forward & linnear - but you sure need to use your thinking cap in some spots during the game - so a nice level of challenge & good hint system when you just flat run out of ideas!
Kept me interested and engaged throughout - happy gaming!!
Bought this because the demo ran well, it looked OK and it had lots of educational extras - figured it would be a 3 or 3.5 star game...Boy was I surprised to find myself totally immersed in it & really liking this game! Mind - I had only one glitch - game stopped, but when I re-opened I'd lost nothing & it ran perfectly prior and subsequently.
The story is interesting & the characters compelling (well - they are real after all :) Nice mix of HOs, games and tasks. Beautiful artwork. Another pleasant surprise was just how tricky it could be to get some of the familiars! In fact - I flat failed to get them all! This was not a glitch, I just missed some :) you really have to put on your thinking cap to get some of them!
So though I stand alone on 5 stars - know that this one is worth trying - you too just may be pleasantly surprised!

I didn't think it was possible for this developer to make games any more beautiful - but they have! This is a well thought out, fairly challenging game (you won't pull lots of hair out - but you will get stumped now and again#. It runs more smoothly even than some other recent offerings from this dev! They really put their all into this one - and they have a lot to give!
A compelling story, lovely music, graphics that ought to be in a museum and even a bit of humor now and again. It's certainly a sequel that does not suffer from "sophomore slump syndrome" well worth the CE price! Oh - and the mini games - again a great mix of difficulty levels #though none soooo hard I had to skip) and a nice mix of familiar and very unique games.
I'd give this 6 stars if they let me - enjoy and happy gaming!
Giving this 4 stars for the incredibly unique look of this game! Also for the super compelling story! Without those elements it would drop to 3 stars. As mentioned in another review the inability to pick up needed items until the second you need them is super frustrating and causes endless amounts of useless clicking. Also, there are logic gaps when you do finally need to figure out where an item might be. For (totally fake! Not a spoiler!) example - you don't go to the Hardware Store for a hammer, but to the Soda Shop. I used the "hint" button far more than I normally would to avoid returning repeatedly to every room in every location trying to guess where an object might be.
Still, I do recommend this game for my initially stated reasons, it's spooky and lovely and you really care about the characters! Not to mention bonus play for a non-CE price!

I'm truly horrible at time management games - but am compelled to try them "time" and again! Turbo Pizza is the TM of my dreams! I can play it and can even get gold on all the levels! I believe the key is the circular format - you move around within the circular counter & for me that makes the difference!
Moreover - it's a cute, funny and fun game! Neat characters & the level of challenge increases at a nice pace. Fun upgrade options for your restaurants & fun to come up with different strategies to achieve those gold stars! So it's not just "man vs. mouse" in a pure game of speed - but you'll need your thinking cap too!
Warning: you will want to order a pizza while playing this!!
A nice surprise for a non-CE game! True, there are no difficulty options, but the game is so long and there's so much back and forth, those unobtrusive sparkles come in handy! Also, though the story is nicely done & the graphics are pretty - the story is not compelling and the graphics not stunning - so it's a game you'll like to play vs. one you want to meander and get lost in - another plus for the single difficulty option!
Lots of Hidden Object scenes - with some objects easily spotted and some very well hidden - so variety within each scene & hints re-charge quickly. Puzzles are mostly "find the clue" than true puzzles - but there are a few simple puzzles too.

Just finished this game & could easily play it again right now! Lovely graphics & music - but more importantly a story that is really compelling & pulls you right in! Mind you, this is not a happy tale, but one that makes you want to finish the game & fight the nastiness!
This is a game that keeps you thinking, you may want to takes notes as you go - but the Strategy Guide is well done and will help you if you get lost in your travels (which can happen as you get caught up in the story and visuals!).
Lots of bonus play in this Collector's Edition! That combined with the chance to save some lovely art as wallpaper surely make this worth the CE price.
So stop reading & start downloading - see for yourself what a gem this game is!

A "classic" game that stands up well against current games! Very well thought out story line, fun characters & challenging mini-games! Your eyes will love it & your brain will get a nice little work out! Likely it will go straight to your "replay this!" list!
