I love all the Nancy Drew games, but if pressed to pick a favorite, this would probably be the one. True, I have some personal biases here--it is set in Scotland and I have a kilt-wearing husband and bagpipe chanters by the dozen. I think it's so cool that you get to play the bagpipes and weave a tartan in the game.
I love the intrigue and the high-tech spying you get to do. The game is full of plot twists, suspense, and even includes a few tugs on the heartstrings. Really, if you let yourself get into it, it's almost like watching a season of 24--it all hangs on you to stop a disaster of global proportions and you don't know who you can trust or how you'll get through it!
Highly recommended!
I recommend this game!

I put off playing this game until I had played all the rest of the ND games because I somehow had the idea that it would be black and white and maybe even--gasp!--boring. I was very mistaken.
This game is charming and fun. I loved driving the roadster around, delivering telegrams and hearing the funny comments from the people in the town. Some of it was hilarious. I love the mini-golf and the other games and puzzles, except for the sewing--I hated the sewing!
The mystery left some good clues and a nice car chase at the end. Very satisfying all round.
I recommend this game!

This was the second ND game I ever played and I was still getting the hang of it. So I explored every nook and detail, got to know a lot about Sonny Joon and the Maya culture. Fascinating setting and lucky Nancy to work in such a place!
I love the setup of the museum, the displays and activities. I wished I could actually visit there. It was also fun to take the subway and expand my experience. The ending is quite chilling!
I have since played about every ND game in the series, but Scarlet Hand still ranks in my top ten.
I recommend this game!

The setting is beautiful and there's enough to explore, but getting around is sometimes tedious and frustrating.
Some of the characters were annoying, but also quite amusing at times. The main story line is interesting and game length is satisfying, but somehow it just didn't all come together for me and fell short of a five-star rating.
Good game, but there are many other ND games I like better!
I recommend this game!

I hesitated before pushing the BUY button because I read a lot of negative reviews but it is, after all, a Nancy Drew game and I've loved them all so I bought it and played it and had a ball. It is just such a FUN game!
It has a different feel to it--more laid back than most of the other games. There's so much to do on the island. You can play with monkeys, comb the beach, go rock climbing, scuba dive, go sailing. There are lots of games and puzzles which I enjoyed. I played the Junior detective level, so they were easier and I didn't have the frustration many others have apparently felt...until I reached the end.
I think I died about a hundred times before I finally made it and I think I was doing it right. The instructions were not very clear, so that was frustrating.
However, it was fun to get to know Bess and George a bit better and enjoy a vacation in the Bahamas!
I recommend this game!

You really can't go wrong with Nancy Drew games. They're all good. This one is at the bottom of my list only because it is the shortest of the games and takes place entirely within the theater, which really limits the places you can go.
Nearly every ND game features hidden rooms and secret passageways. I look forward, every time, to finding them and discovering their secrets. This game had them, but they were disappointingly sparse.
However, the story line is pretty engaging and the end--though it came too soon--was exciting.
Buy it on sale at Big Fish and you won't regret a single penny and still time well spent.
I recommend this game!

I'm not a fashion bug, so I waited to play this game until I had played about every other Nancy Drew game available. But I'm glad I finally got to it because this one was actually very cool and has little to do with the world of fashion. It focuses more on the French Resistance during WWII, codes and decryption, and the network of underground tunnels under Paris.
While the TV reality show premise was a bit corny and improbable, I have to say it was a lot of fun! There was so much to do--shearing sheep, panning for gold, racing a kayak, and captaining a submarine, to name just a few. Also brought back one of my favorite Nancy Drew side games, Raid. And playing to win ups your score in the TV competition!
There are a couple of drawbacks to the game, in my opinion. The main story line was a bit...awkward. Still not sure what it was all about and--worse--it blew the whole Sonny Joon mystique! Also, the final challenge was pretty darn challenging--it took about every ounce of wit and courage I could muster to get through it.
Still and all, a very good game!
I recommend this game!

I'm a huge fan of the Nancy Drew games and have played them all. This one rates near the bottom of my list, however, because it was a bit short, the play space was limited, and I felt like a game set in an amusement park could have been so much more...well, amusing. Also, I absolutely HATED Barnacle Blaster--just not my thing. That said, if I had it to do over again, I'd still purchase and play the game. It was worth the time and the Big Fish bargain price.
