Like so many others who have reviewed this game, I did fine right up until the final challenge where you have to draw shapes, and in a very tight timeframe. Not only is this extremely difficult with my hand/eye co-ordination BUT if you dare to go and look at the 'help' it keeps going and you die and it throws you out of the walkthrough and back in the game - there is no quit or skip.
Any for anyone who says 'must try harder, it's not for kids', I am 53 years old and still couldn't do it... sorry but having wasted my money on this game, I'm not a happy bunny - especially as the prices have gone up too.
I don't recommend this game.

The game itself is good fun, there is a lot of details etc., I did skip some games (purely because I didn't want to hang about) but they were fairly different from ones I'd seen before although you do get the old 'pick matching places from clues' etc., as well.
My ONLY bug is that for some reason, I couldn't get the secret room to work - it showed me what I needed to find that I had missed (puzzle pieces or collectibles) but then didn't allow me to look for them... also there's an achievement for getting all the statuettes but I didn't see a statuette in the entire game...anyway, it's quite a good game and the bonus content ties in nicely.
I recommend this game!

This review is based on playing the CE game and the bonus content.
I love the Mystery Trackers series on the whole and apart from a couple of missteps they've been great games BUT they do seem to be getting a lot shorter in playing time.
Now I'm either getting good at these games or they're are betting shorter - I have to say it is not just this series that is suffering, Grim Tales and Secret City games also don't appear to be as detailed or as long as they used to be - but don't take my word for it, play them and make your own mind up.
I quite like playing the different characters in this game and I like the fact that if you do miss a collectible, you are given the opportunity to go find it in the bonus content.
The games are good fun too, but I didn't play them all and when skipped they do play out on occasion so you don't feel like you've missed anything...
All in all, a great addition to a wonderful series just a shame it really didn't take very long to play.
I recommend this game!

I love this series, even with the annoying Richard's voice, but lately, the games appear to be getting shorter and shorter and less complex than they used to be.
Dorian does make a very brief appearance in this game which is nice but blink and you'll miss it. Oh and the daughter has a very stilted way of speaking which is a little jarring at times, but liveable.
As always the fun of this game does exceed any quibbles about voiceovers that I may have. I just wish it was longer.
The bonus game was good fun too but just seemed to be a random add on rather than an extension to the main game with one of the characters from the game making a guest appearance, I suppose to tie it in...
If you like this series, then I recommend playing it and on the whole it is good fun BUT it is a very short game.
I recommend this game!

Firstly, let me say that I absolutely loved this game. Basically, as with all the other Haunted Hotel games, you got to an old hotel and, lo and behold, you end up to your neck in nasties.
This one, is all about phobias, so be warned - massive spiders all over the place. One of the storylines features characters from previous HH games - didn't recognise the judge's wife one, but did the others... great fun!!
The graphics are great and the story good fun. There are morphing objects both standard morphers and phobia statues (I'm gutted I missed one and now can't go back and get it without replaying...), picture fragments in some of the 'close up' scenes. The bonus game was a decent length too.
Ok - that's the good bits. The bad bit (for me anyway), is that it froze at one point and then spontaneously shut down on me two more times.
I recommend this game!

I absolutely loved this game for many reasons - I'm not good at technical reviews about games because I don't play for that reason - this review will be based purely on what I saw, heard and felt...
Firstly, the graphics - they were top notch, very detailed and clear (bit too clear in some instances if I'm honest - those masks are a bit nasty!)
Secondly, the music - normally I turn this down because for some reason developers always pick some classical orchestral thing to illustrate the mood of a game - however, this one I actually had going on a lower but still audible level - have to say, it wasn't bad. It didn't intrude into the game play and was actually quite catchy in places.
Thirdly, the content - well what can I say, the game itself is reminiscent of the Redemption Cemetery games in format, in that you go into a family's worse fears/nightmares and help them out - one big difference, in RC games you only get 3, in this game you got a whopping 5 (plus a bonus game). There is an element of back and forth handily helped by the interactive map. As in the title, a couple of times the game did make me jump - not saying anything about where and when - you've been warned. There are morphers and moons to collect in the scenes, some of which are almost impossible to see.
The mini-games were ok as well, but as I was playing quite late at night and wanted to finish, I skipped quite a few.
All in all a great game that has a long play time as well. The bonus game is also of a decent length.
I recommend this game!

I have every single one of the Redemption Cemetery series, and I have to say that this is one of my favourites. This review is based on completion of the Collector's Edition of the game.
You get to collect little dolls/figures from previous games, the cut scenes actually made me jump a couple times and the graphics are, as always, top notch.
That said - this follows the 'traditional' Redemption Cemetery formula, you arrive at a location and suddenly you have to save three people from their own nightmares/guilt etc., and in the bonus game you save an extra one. You even get to rescue a turtle.
There is a part of the main game where you search using cameras, keep an eye out for hamsters - you get an achievement if you find all three. There is even a little road game you can play on your character's phone which earns you points too.
Simply put, I love these games but I feel that the 'rescue' scenarios appear to get shorter and shorter towards the end of the game, almost as if they are running out of time - which is a shame but could just be me.
Anyway, this is a great game and a welcome addition to the series.
I recommend this game!

I have not played many in the Mystery Tales series but I can tell you this, having played this game, I want to go back and play others!
From the get go - there are things popping out of the screen at you, there are bright colours, an interesting storyline (well, I found it interesting in any event), lots to do, pets to collect - puzzle squares to find, etc.
The game play got a little pixelated during the cut scenes, but that might be my pc and not their fault, having said that - it almost instantly cleared up.
I didn't see any morphing things but that is not always a bad thing. There is so much to do in this game that I really didn't miss them.
Give it a go - it took me quite a while to play as well and the bonus chapter is also fairly long too.
I recommend this game!

I loved this game. I do struggle sometimes to tie this new family into the original one but hey, let's face it - it is a game, not a novel - so sit back and enjoy.
Bertha as a ferret is still slightly annoying but I do like the main character in this one, it is slightly unusual to be playing as a male lead in this type of game.
The graphics, as always, are crisp, neat, and awesome in their detail. I can't comment on the music because I always turn it down, but the voices are ok.
I enjoyed the mini games too - so they can't be that bad. Saving the little mini micro chips was fun.
There are things to collect and morphing objects as normal. I will definitely be buying the full game on pay day!
I recommend this game!

Right, I've read some of the other reviews, both good and bad and here is my humble opinion:
1 - no, it is not the scariest thing out there (you want Goblinz Games True Fear for that one) but it does have some moments that may make you jump. Having said that, considering the content, I certainly wouldn't be letting any younger children play this to be fair..
2 - the graphics in the main game when in cut sequences is a bit cartoony, but the actual game play graphics are top notch.
3 - Yes, as with ALL hidden object games of this nature I've played (and that is a fair few), there is a lot of back and forth, BUT the map is great and whizzes you there in no time.
4 - I had a glitch in the bonus game and had to use the 'skip' button but that was the only glitch and could have just been my download.
5 - The morphing jigsaw pieces are sometimes very hard to see (I missed quite a few and sadly you don't get to go back and find your missing ones at the end) but as I never use the screen savers given, I wasn't all that bothered.
All in all, this game is well worth the money and it took me a long time to play it (I had to stop at 3am UK time and sleep)...
So mixed reviews yes, but I would recommend that you play it and make your own mind up. Have fun, enjoy - after all, this is what they're for right??
I recommend this game!
