This is my all time favourite game...love it to bits and until I upgraded to Windows 10 I replayed it countless times. Imagine my dismay when I upgraded and was unable to play Dire Grove at all... I contacted Customer Service for technical help a while ago, and was given advice on how to play it again. However, I understand by looking at this page, that the game is only suitable up to Windows 8 or below. Why wasn't I told this from the outset when I contacted Customer Service? It would have been nice if they had been a bit more upfront and honest about it. Anyhow, what with the pandemic at the moment, this seems such an unimportant issue. On the other hand, with lockdown, finding ways of passing the time is necessary. I know I am not the only one who has this issue judging by comments on facebook etc. Please do a remake so we can play it again. Please?
I did enjoy playing the demo, but in these times of having to watch my spending I won't be buying the full version. There may be lots of improvements, but the only thing I noticed was looking for an opaque squirrel and a morphing object in every new scene. As I already have the original, I just can't warrant buying this version. Feels a bit like when they keep releasing old Beatles records - digitally remastered - may be something slightly different, but nothing majorly noticeable. On the other hand, if a remastered Mystery Case Files Dire Grove were to be done, then I would spend my last penny on it. I haven't been able to play this since I have used Windows 10 - I understand I'm not the only one. This is my absolute favourite game of all time and am gutted I am unable to play it. As it states on the Game Manager app, the games are ours to play forever, but this just seems to be untrue. Please please please Big Fish, do a remastered Dire Grove and I for one will be eternally grateful
I think the problem may lie with me. I always buy the Mystery Case Files when they come out, but they just don't seem to 'grab' me anymore. This has been for the last few games, apart from the Rewind one, which was fine. I feel the essence of the original MCF games hasn't been present for a long time now, and maybe it's time for the series to stop (in my opinion - lots of people will disagree) The game itself is slick, clever, and challenging, but it just doesn't feel like a MCF game to me. It's only the inclusion of older storylines and characters that brings back a tiny hint of the old games. Maybe if Big Fish could persuade another developer to take on the series and give it fresh eyes? I do appreciate that we have to get used to progress and embrace it, but I think any more of these games by Eipix will feel like they are flogging a dead horse.
I don't recommend this game.

Adera
Jane Sinclaire faces her greatest challenge in the mysterious city of Adera. Solve puzzles, collect artifacts and unlock its secrets!
I absolutely adore this game, and I have only played for about an hour on it. It is reminiscent to me of Myst, of which I was an avid player a few years ago. Not to say that Adera is an old game, but it has a nostalgic feel to it for me. Just the right level of challenge (for me), and the graphics are so beautiful I can immerse myself in the scenes - a wonderful break from day to day life. So far a game I am actually looking forward to playing, an excitement I haven't had for a long time when playing a new game. Thankyou BFG.
This was my favourite game to play of all time. Then I installed Windows 10. Disaster on the Dire Grove front!!! I haven't been able to play this game since. Am so gutted! On contacting tech support, they gave me all sorts of complicated things to do, which of course didn't work, so I have just given up. I only wish Big Fish would have been more honest and said that the game wasn't compatible with Windows 10 (as I found out from other gamers) I don't have much to complain about with Big Fish, but this is definitely one of those times. If I could play this game I would give it 5 stars - however as I cannot play it at all, it must warrant only 1 (that's because I couldn't give it a 0)
Thankyou for a SE game worthy of being a CE. Morphing objects, a jump map and a spooky atmosphere all add up to a fantastic game that is value for money. Thankyou again
Well, what can I say? I managed about 10 minutes of this. Everything about it was awful. Now, I enjoy replaying my games from many years ago, e.g. Mystery Case Files Madame Fate etc...but this...well...Where on earth did this drivel come from? I'm all for nostalgia, but the quality of this game is not good.
Others may enjoy this, and please give it a go. Don't just take my word for it. Maybe I got out of the bed the wrong side this morning lol!!
I have fallen in love with this game. The story (emotional as it may be), the beautiful graphics and the originality are second to none. So refreshing to be playing a game so original and different, I have bought this based on the demo alone and I cannot wait to see how the story unfolds. Congratulations to the developers. Thankyou.

I'm afraid I could only stand a few minutes of the demo, and it's probably unfair of me to write a review based on this small taster. However, there is something about Eipix games that bores me to tears, and I am not sure why? I'm sure a lot of effort goes into making these games, and they are probably amazingly produced, but I cannot for the life of me get past the first maybe 20 minutes. Maybe it's just me. Hopefully others will enjoy it, but it's definitely a non-starter for me...sorry Eipix
I've played about halfway through so far, so can only comment on my experience so far. I am enjoying playing the game - but it's like all of the other 'run of the mill' games from Eipix. Feels a little like Groundhog Day. Again, I feel the essence of MCF has left the building.
