Any fan of adventures that include members from the Van Helsing family should really enjoy this game! You begin the game as the granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing, who has suddenly disappeared! Following notes and clues from him, you must solve many puzzles in order to discover who has betrayed the Order of Light and is attempting to construct an Army of Vampires, Werewolves and other such creatures.
I truly enjoyed the fact that this game took ordinary mini-games and added a twist to them! You certainly have to use your mind in figuring out many of the mini-games. The graphics, sound effects and over all storyline are great! The only thing I was disappointed about, was that there are currently no other games under this series! :( I feel that this line could certainly support many adventures under this title!
I happily give two thumbs-up for this game and recommend it to any one who enjoys a nice adventure!
Good luck to you all!

This was a great game to play! I love the fact that it ventured away from the standard HOG format with being able to earn abilities and taking things down a different path! Anyone who enjoys vampires and the stories of Dracula will certainly enjoy this game! Getting to decide if you do or do not take a possible victim's life! Having to build strength, having to 'earn' abilities... that was a nice change from the usual!
The graphics were really nice! The story-line was great! Of course Dracula always is set in a plot where he has to save the love of his lives (ha ha), Mina! But adding to it Van Helsing and then Igor as his faithful assistant was great! That quirky... kind of blonde air about him added a nice personality to the game!
For the bonus content, it was really a bonus section! A nice amount of extra game play with the additional features!
I would quickly give two thumbs up for this game and tell anyone to give it a try!
Good luck in your quest... don't forget to bring the garlic and a wooden stake or two! ;)
There aren't many games which I will truly give 5-Stars all the way across, but this is certainly one of them! I had never played any of the Dark Dimension games until this one and it was a pleasant surprise!
This is one of those rare games that has really nice graphics and artwork... the story-line is interesting and makes sense, following a logical sequence and the mini-games are challenging! Hallelujah! LOL! This game is a great example of what I expect games to be!
Once I started playing the game, I looked forward to getting to spend time figuring it out! It was one of those nights where I stayed up late just to play this game and challenged me enough to where I wasn't able to sit and finish the game in just one session!
The story-line took nice twists and turns and the bonus content was great, too! I certainly encourage other players who enjoy a challenge to play this game!
I'm one of those people who finds a really good game, and then I hope and hope and hope that they make a sequel! However, I normally get my hopes dashed as there are only a few string of games that have consistently made improvements to the right areas while still holding on to the core of the story-line.
This game begins as the continuing adventure of getting to be the Detective on the hunt for the bad guy from the first game, Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek. (Just an FYI: You do not have to play the first in order to understand this game!)
The graphics were good, not the best. You could tell this game was connected to the previous through artistic style and appearance... but the graphics certainly were not the worst!
The story line was pretty good. It had a few "huh" moments, but that was easy enough to figure out. It's a nice adventure for a beginner/medium player but not a real challenge for someone who plays a lot. I'd tell someone, especially someone who hasn't played the first game, to give either/both a try!
In all honesty, when I buy a game, especially the Collector's Edition, I hope that it takes me longer than a day to finish it. That was the one area where I was the most disappointed. I by no means sat here all day long playing the game, yet it didn't take long to finish. I'd like for there to be more of a challenge, and for the mini-games to take a little more intellect to solve.
In general (and not just specifically this game), I think it'd be nice for companies/programmers to add more regular level game play for a CE. If you're going to pay twice the price, give the customer twice the product.
This would be a game I'd recommend especially the Standard Version! I think most people will have fun with it.
This is one of the odd games in my collection. When I first purchased it and attempted to play for the first time, there were points that just frustrated me and didn't quite follow a logical sequence so I quit the game and didn't attempt to play it again for over a month. Then, as I was looking for a game to play one day, I came across it (honestly I didn't remember what it was about) and decided to play again. The second time I played, however, went much better!
While there were still some inconsistencies with the sequence and story-line, it ended up being a pretty good game to play. I also enjoyed the extra play that was included with the Collector's Edition!
I always love playing games that are based on Sleepy Hollow! However, I must admit that there were several times where I found myself either bored or frustrated because a few places just didn't follow a logical sequence.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, I just think a little more could have been done with it to make it a great game! The graphics were nice, I never had technical problems with it and I really liked the "extras" that you'll find through out playing.
I would recommend this to other while making sure to note that there may be a few places that just drive you nuts. :)
I will always love this game for two reasons... one, it was the first BFG game that I bought and second because it was fun to play! The storyline makes sense and is easy to follow as long as you use a bit of common sense and logic.
There are of course a few areas where you'll become frustrated if you just try to zip through without paying attention. I don't recall ever having any major technical problems. The only time I did was when you have to use chalk to finish several images. If you run into the same problem, just keep trying and be patient, you'll get it!
I would certainly recommend this game! Its a great challenge for those who are just beginning and fun for those who are already masters at these games!
9: The Dark Side CE was a rather interesting game! I must admit that I had to pay very close attention in many areas in order to find items that were necessary! The graphics were really nice! I never had any problem running this game (which is so nice).
I can't say that the story line always followed a logical pattern, but it didn't take outside help or walk throughs to figure it out.
I would certainly recommend this game to others! Make sure, as I mentioned before, that you're a person who pays attention to details in order to not become very frustrated.
This is a great game! It challenges the player to really think about what's going on. Not to mention that it has some rather unique aspects regarding the mini-puzzles, character interaction... and of course, the 'who-dun-it'!
