This had a bit of a different "personality" than your run-of-the-mill HOG. It was refreshing to play something with some differences. I found this game to be very fun. At first I didn't know what I was supposed to do or where I was supposed to go, then I realized you need to use your journal (or whatever they called it) to see what your next objective is. You can also quickly move from one location to the next using that book as well - didn't waste time "walking" around in this game. The story line was not as predictable as I thought it might be, which is fun as well.
I recommend this game!

My husband bought me this game. While I appreciate the sweet gesture, I have to admit this is the most awful game! I got stuck almost right away (which never happens for me). Every time I tried anything the message that popped up was rude and insulting. The one HOG I got through was really difficult as everything was kind of fused together and it was really difficult to see. I won't be playing this game, or the other Ravenhurst game that it came packaged with. They just lost me with those insults every time I tried anything.
I don't recommend this game.

It was difficult to navigate and even with the tutorial I wasn't quite sure I knew what I was doing. I set all the characters up with tasks and then sat back and said "Now what?". I pay for a monthly membership to BigFish, so I think I will stick with the high quality games I usually get from them, where I can play as long as I like without having to wait for a task to finish. This game might be fun for some, but I didn't enjoy it for my PC. Maybe as an app game for a phone it would be better - if you could scroll around and get to each person's house easier.
I don't recommend this game.

Extremely wholesome and fun game for kids. We first discovered these when my oldest (now 19) was 3 and now my 5 and 7 year old have loved these too. I have played this with my children many times and they are just challenging enough to keep their interest. I'll admit that they are fun for grown ups too. They force the child to think, use creativity, and yet there is no pressure or stress with time limits. Can't rave about these Humongous games enough - they are just awesome for kids.
I am so excited to see this game here. We have almost all of the Putt Putt, Pajama Sam, and Freddie Fish games on disc, but they won't play in any of our computers (they don't run on anything newer than Windows XP). Now my kids can play on any of our computers. I'll have to look for Pajama Sam and Spy Fox, as those are their favorite games. I will be purchasing all of these for my children!
I recommend this game!

My IQ must have dropped in the last few days, because that game seemed a bit challenging to me. I am a fan of the Grim Tales series of games, but this one was a bit tough for me. I kept getting lost and having no clue what my next move should be. When I used a hint (which is rare for me, typically) it wasn't always helpful. I gave this game 4 stars, rather than the 3 I was really feeling because I wanted to be fair. It wasn't a bad game, and some like their games a bit more challenging. It was just a bit vague for me at times. I suppose I would have to still recommend this game since some prefer more challenging games.
I recommend this game!

I have purchased every one of the "Grim Tales" games because they are always excellent quality. The are visually appealing, the storyline is always interesting enough, and I am partial to the map option (being able to move from one place to another using the map). The game is not frustratingly hard, nor so easy that I get bored and lose interest. This is the first collector's edition I have ever purchased and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of extra gameplay I got. I will continue to purchase "Grim Tales" games as well as games in the "Otherworld" series (also excellent games).
I recommend this game!

This is the first game I haven't finished a demo for. It seems like a high quality game, but I just wasn't enjoying it at all. It's very different from HOG games, which is refreshing, but it just didn't do it for me. I would still recommend this game for those that enjoy puzzle games.

The game was of good quality, but for some reason it made me anxious. I get anxious with some kinds of games (shooters, time management) which is why I choose hidden object games. This one made me feel rushed or something at some points (for some reason). This probably won't bother anyone else, I'm sure it's just weird me. Enjoy

This game was ok, but I wouldn't seek out anymore just like it. In all honesty, I can't quite put my finger on why it didn't dazzle me, but "Otherworlds - Spring of Shadows" did. I guess I didn't take to the main character's personality is all. The game was a good time passer, I suppose. For the right person, this game might be awesome.

My children are 5 and 7. I play this game with them and they absolutely love it. It's wholesome enough and visually cute so I feel it's age-appropriate (as opposed to some of the "scarier" games I play on my own). This game is a mix of hidden object screens and potion creation. Very whimsical and fun.
