I enjoyed everything about this game until I was abruptly hit with the words "...to be continued." Come on....what an obvious attempt to get me to buy the next game. Not fair!! When I buy a game at full price, I expect it to have a COMPLETE ending, not a marketing ploy.
I loved this game. The story line kept me involved, the music was gorgeous and added to the drama of the game, and the graphics were beautiful. This game takes you in from the beginning and (if you wear headphones like I do) will make you feel as if you are transported into its world. Lots of HOGS, which are pretty easy, that give you needed objects to use in nearby locales. Very little going back and forth except to take three specific objects to an easily remembered spot. The reasons I didn't give this a five are: it's a little short and it's a little too easy. But I'm nit picking at that. Loved it. Wish the game went on for days. Will buy all of the Redemption series.
This game was beautifully done with plenty of HOS. However, it is an extremely easy game and doesn't take long to play. It's very enjoyable and I think a great game for someone new to the genre. This game is artistically exquisite, keeps you involved until the end and offers plenty to the casual gamer. I would have given it more stars had it been more challenging. If you're looking for fun, give it a try.
I bought this based on others' reviews, but was very disappointed. This game was boring to the point of making me irritable. The music is juvenile, the atmosphere claustrophobic, the graphics the same blue-gray as seen in so many other lackluster games and the puzzles not at all challenging. A total waste of time for me.
I started out really enjoying this game. I love the story line and the interaction the nemesis has with me. The graphics are gorgeous, the music and atmosphere nearly perfect but..... constant back and forth requirements left me annoyed. It's a shame, because this is an intelligent game except for that. At one point in the game, towards the end, I had completed everything that I could and looked on the map for an indication of where I should go...to find nothing. The map was blank. OOOKKKKK did that mean I was finished? Left me scratching my head and ended up (once again) having to run back through ALL of the previous screens to find the next step. The hint button is USELESS as it just says "there is nothing to do here." Well, I know that, duh.....or I wouldn't be asking. oh well.... I wish game makers would keep games moving forward not backward. If you play this game, be prepared to spend A LOT of time going back, then forward, then back and back some more. Good luck.
A mysterious fortune teller has foreseen her demise at midnight this very day. Can you find the soul who seeks to kill Madame Fate? You be the detective.
I started this game with high hopes due to the high ratings, but after just 15 minutes, I quit and uninstalled it. The graphics are of poor quality and the objects very tiny. I like a challenge and I don't normally mind small, well hidden objects, but the little objects hidden in a substandard graphics page made me irritable. I play for fun, not frustration. Wish there were a money back guarantee on this game.
I played this game in Hardcore mode. Basically, I found the graphics to be visually boring, mostly dull tones. There was too much to and fro-ing with objects hidden in arbitrary places. I found I didn't care about the story because the way the game was advanced it essentially disjointed the plot to the point that I just didn't care about anything but finishing the game to get it over with. This is also the first game that bored me so much that I nodded off while playing it. I didn't appreciate the way objects were placed willy nilly, here, there and everywhere but in a logical progression. My advice is skip it and spend your money on a better game.
Wow. Just finished playing this game and I'm impressed. The story line is superb, the real actors can actually act and the graphics are amazing. Not only is this game enjoyable, but is easily solvable with some thought and imagination. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in quite a while. The only negative about this game (and this is being picky) is that some of the HOGS have you searching for the same objects more than once in identical scenes. But really, it won't bother you because you will be too immersed in the story. Truly fun.
My advice is to play the first game in this series and then the rest of the them in sequence. I loved each of them! These games are visually beautiful, the stories draw you into their worlds and the games are just plain fun. I was able to play all 3 of these in expert mode without hints, but that's not to say the game was easy. If you like a balance of beautiful artwork, entertaining story and gamesmanship, this series is for you
