Most of us who have played The Labyrinths of the World series have an appreciate for its compelling adventures in each of their releases. This time around, things are happening at one of the world's most known mysteries, Stonehenge. Your sister, Margaret, was at the site when an explosion happened opening up two portals one of which is filled with fire, while the other is filled with cold and ice. There is a magnetic barrier now around the site and history about the place to be discovered. It is not that simple as you learn about the complicated relationship between the Druids and the Vikings and what had lead to the creation of this world. The game spreads across eight chapters including a bonus one where you learn more about the Vikings and protect the Earth's climate. The game's graphics are perfect for an adventure like that depicting the passion of both elements. The soundtrack and the voice overs are set the tone very well, too. Wallpaper, concept art, soundtrack are part of the extras. I didn't think this edition measured up to previous ones but it's a long playing game at around 4-5 hours and another hour or less for the bonus game. I give an overall 4.5 stars for this release.
I recommend this game!

This Brilliant reinvention of a timeless story is incredible. What began with "A Bridge to Another World" when you witness your little brother being kidnapped from a mist filled bridge took you 20 years later to rescue him from an Evil Countess in a magical dream world where Art, Painting and reality join hands. Then in "The Others" your journey leads you into a realm accessed by a spell book that takes you thru a portal where you discover a magical compass to find your brother Jace who was cursed by a Witch as a child, now an adult you must lift the curse and save Jace and defeat her. Now in this latest edition of Bridge to Another World you are kidnapped during an ordinary day in the life of grown-up Alice, whose life suddenly makes a sharp turn when she stumbles upon a mysterious Hat. After falling off the bridge into the water you are transported into Shadowland (Wonderland). In the quest of good and evil you must find your shadow/ life force in this magical realm or you die in the real world. Destined also to help the Order of the Opposition of Shadowland to overcome the Ruthless Princess of Hearts! Find your shadow and defeat the Evil Princess of Hearts in this extraordinary adventure. I enjoyed every moment of this gorgeous game. The voices and sound/SFX are excellent and the storyline is fresh and compelling. I really didn't want to leave this beautiful and captivating realm. There is so much to do in this game and lots of challenges to keep you entertained for hours and hours. Pay close attention to all the exceptional details, the 31 morphing objects, and the 37 collectible playing cards. Bravo to the developers for what may be the very best in this award winning series! Cheers and Happy Gaming...

Wow...League of Light: The Gatherer is a top notch hidden object game in which you must provide assistance to a man who’s often referred to as the Hunter. The Hunter feels that his family is being followed and might be in many danger but when you decide to investigate the situation, you end up getting arrested for trespassing. Now, it is up to you to figure out why you were arrested and then make sure that the Hunter’s family doesn’t get harmed. As soon as you launch the game after installing it, you’ll be shown a brief cinematic that carries various important details regarding the plot of League of Light: The Gatherer. Once the cinematic concludes, you’ll be asked to choose a difficulty setting and after all this is done, you will finally be able to enter the game world. I knew after the opening, during demo play that I would definitely want this edition! In terms of gameplay, League of Light: The Gatherer is definitely one of the most enjoyable games in this entire series. It’s filled to the brim with many excellent hidden object scenes and each one of them is quite challenging. The best part about the hidden object scenes is that there’s a very solid variety of them. Throughout your journey you’ll get to enjoy both text, silhouette and various other special scenes and almost every single one of these seems to have been fine-tuned to perfection. League of Light: The Gatherer couples its top notch hidden object scenes with a whole lot of high quality mini-games that are built to provide players with a challenge. It’s fair to say that the puzzles in this particular game are significantly more challenging than the ones we usually see in this genre which is why there’s a solid chance that you’ll struggle with a few of them. Fortunately, for situations like this, there’s a very useful skip button that players can use to completely skip through a puzzle that’s giving them trouble. League of Light: The Gatherer is great fun to play but on top of that it’s an absolute delight to look at as well. It features a refined art style that leads to some spectacular visuals and has some of the most detailed environments that we’ve ever seen in hidden object games. Alongside this, the in-game artwork is spectacular and the voiceovers are incredibly high quality. I really enjoy this series and this installment was my second favorite in the series. Wicked Harvest being first!
I recommend this game!

Another Excellent Edition to Witches' Legacy!! Dark Days to Come is a colorful hidden object adventure game in which you have to fight against evil witches and even use their magic against them in order to rescue your girlfriend. The game has upgraded on innovation, but the gameplay mechanics are exactly the same as they are in every other game in the genre, except the story and the puzzles are different. Speaking of which, the plot is very simple and straightforward as well, since you begin by having to rescue your girlfriend from the twin witch sisters. In order to do so, you have to travel a different realm and face the perils you find there, while also learning how to counter various magic spells. It’s a cute plot, it’s original and exciting and for me this installment will be memorable! Solve puzzles by rearranging pieces or finding the right pattern is a reoccurring theme. As mentioned above, the gameplay should be very intuitive if you are a regular fan of the genre. In essence, it all revolves around being able to find the useful items in every scene and then using them to unlock other areas and so on. Every now and again an actual puzzle blocks your progress, but it can be either skipped or replaced with a match-3 mini-game if you find it too difficult. Thankfully, at least your eyes won’t get bored along the way, thanks to the gorgeous artwork and the dreamy backgrounds that truly make you feel like you’ve stepped into a different world. It may not be for everyone, but at least it’s clear that the designers have put a lot of effort into it. Speaking of which, the voice acting is quite nice, and so is the soundtrack that accompanies the adventure. It really is an engaging adventure for HOPA enthusiasts. All in all, Witches' Legacy: Dark Days to Come is certainly going to keep you glued to the screen if you enjoy the genre, even if there are better examples out there. Hence, it’s polished enough to be engaging from start to finish, which is all that you can ask from a HOPA game. Thank you BigFish for continuing this popular and unique series!!!

You detective have been hot on the trail of the demonic preacher since discovering him in Ghost of Maple Creek. Yet, he has managed to always stay one step ahead. A year later in the Mists of Ravenwood you had hoped to bring an end to the chase in the redwood forests of Northern California, but, like so many times before, the trail went cold. Two years have passed and in this edition you journey one last time to Maple Creek to discover new evidence regarding the Serial Killer Preachers whereabouts. Their you discover new clues which lead you to a monastery in the Himalayas of Tibet. The omnipotent evil demon Asmodai is your ultimate advisory, for The Preacher (last of the reapers) had intended from the beginning to allow Asmodai to enters his body and intends to finally get the power to dominate the whole world. Now it's up to you, using all of your wits and resources to once and for all STOP this menacing evil from coming to fruition. This is my all time favorite Hidden Object Adventure. It's a full throttle, must experience game that you don't want to miss. It is a big deal this time around because the immense power he is after might make it impossible for you to ever stop him if you catch him too late. You need to find "the wrath of God" to be able to stop the guy. It is an excellent story with a twist on every corner. Not only have the developers come with a great main game and a bonus chapter story, but they also have done a great job with the audio-visual presentation for the story. The scenes are hand-drawn and very detailed. The game is creepy and quite dark in a very mysterious and intriguing way. The voice-overs and the music are excellent. The game has a nice flow where all the elements come into place and turn into one big adventure, rather than separate parts. There are four modes of difficulty: Casual, Advanced, Expert, and Custom. I enjoyed every moment of this extraordinary adventure. I now what to go back and play all 3 editions from the beginning. LOL....Thank you Big Fish and Artifex Mundi for an incredible series worthy of Editors Choice!!!

From the dream team that brought New York Mysteries and Lost Lands comes another epic master piece. A young girl named Alice finds a strange box holding an egg. From that egg a Bird of Fire hatches, and somehow enters right into the girl, leaving a burn mark on her arm. From that moment on, Alice is part of the eternal battle between Darkness and Flame. Soldiers are after her, but Alice's father manages to save her - at the price of his life. Forced to flee her home, Alice sets off to find her only relative - her uncle - someone she has never met. Together they'll have to undergo many trials in all corners of the Fertile Lands, meet exotic tribes and races, avoid imminent danger, solve dozens of puzzles, and finally face the great evil threatening the whole fantasy world. Will Alice manage to harness the power of the Flame granted to her by destiny, and save her lands before they are turned into a lifeless desert? It's up to you to play the role of Alice in this long playing fantasy thriller. Make your way thru the Beoglinn Valley, the Mountain River, Cliff Town, the Floating Island, and finally the Desert of Death. This game really exceeded my wildest expectations, and the quest was totally worth every moment of game play. Fantasy adventure lovers are in for a spectacular ride. I love and admire this developer for the talent and brilliant imagination it takes to create a game like this. Thank you BigFish for this excellent journey into the world of Fantasy. xox

Dark Dimensions was once a unique series. The first three installments were thrilling and creepy, just as their titles promised. However, all of the sequels after that turned the series into just another dark fantasy HOPA series, and isn't there already plenty of that in the market? Despite its fairly interesting plot, Blade Master faces this same problem. Blade Master blasts off with an exciting sequence, featuring knife-throwing and actual violence. Violence is definitely not something usually seen in casual games, so I am kind of glad to see Daily Magic taking the risks and freshen up the genre. Anyhow, it is difficult to disregard the fact that given the insane number of instances where knives are thrown right at the heroine, she manages to miraculously dodge them every single time. Regarding the production, Dark Dimensions: Blade Master is nothing short of impressive. The graphics are absolutely stunning - appropriately dark and gorgeously-colored. The soundtracks did a great job in building the tension during action sequences. In contrast, I found the voice-overs to be slightly awkward at times. If you have ever played any one of the games from this developer before, Dark Dimensions: Blade Master will be pretty predictable. The game doesn't necessarily break away from the typical HOPA formula and that makes the game a no-brainer for advanced players. This is not to say that the game is not well-made, because it is. The adventure portion is polished, while the hidden object scenes are entertaining and the puzzles are quite clever - if not too easy. Moreover, the game comes with a Knife Casket, which at first seems like a really cool feature, but turns out to be just another dull gimmick. Besides, Dark Dimensions: Blade Master is just a very short game. The main game took me just a little over three hours to complete, and the bonus chapter took another 40 minutes - on the easiest mode of difficulty. The Collector's Edition includes a strategy guide, a developer's diary, soundtracks, wallpapers, concept art and hard-to-find collectibles. Some reviewers posted that this edition was not CE worthy, so give the SE version a try. Dark Dimensions: Blade Master is far too easy for a HOPA master. Apart from the graphics, there is nothing else to write home about. At the end of the day, Dark Dimensions: Blade Master is just another game on the long list of dark fantasy titles.
I don't recommend this game.

This edition of Dark Parables made me fall in love with the series all over again. Since Dark Parables is such an iconic series, I was a little worried at first that Eipix would not be able to do the game justice. Defying my concerns, this 11th Dark Parables game remained along the same line as the previous installments in terms of quality, if not, even better. You play the role of Guardian Fairytale Detective in a quest for Ancient Tablets located in the underground Swan archives before her Wickedness beats you to it. The Wicked Swan Princess is determined to destroy the Goddess of Floralia who reins supreme in this Enchanted land. The Swan Princess needs the power of the Dire Tree to carry out her evil plans, but you have pledged your life to the Goddess to protect her and the Dire Tree until the final hour. During your quest you receive help from Black Swan and Ross Red, essential characters to the story line plot. Black Swan even stills the seed to activate the Dire Tree which wasn't the right thing to do, but you learn her intentions were honest and she proves herself worthy to join with you to defeat the Swan Princess. With regards to graphics and style.... The graphics in The Swan Princess and The Dire Tree are no Blue Tea, but it is stunning and colorful enough for me to appreciate. I am glad that Eipix decided to remain some of the franchise's signature sound effects and music, as they always work well with the series. Despite knowing that the art team at Eipix is one of the very best in the industry, the artwork style of Blue Tea Games is EXTREMELY UNIQUE and incredibly difficult to imitate. It is clear from what we saw that Eipix put in a tremendous amount of effort in the attempt to recreate the same artwork style, in which the team did surprisingly well to some extent. This time the gameplay has significantly improved in this sequel. Games from Blue Tea were slightly predictable lately; but with Eipix, everything has been spiced up with creativity. The main gameplay is still largely based on collecting pendants, orbs and other fantasy items - still, we found the tasks to be much more interactive and innovative. The puzzles are entertaining, but not always original and a few of them are repeated 3-4 times. And finally, good news for all the fans out there, Dark Parables 11 is still filled with gorgeous Fragmented Hidden Objects Scenes. In the Collector's Edition they included a pretty heavy bonus content; something that has never been done by Blue Tea before. As for the length, the main game lasted roughly 4 hours for me - the bonus chapter is very solid, featured some breathtaking scenes, and has a 45 minute length. Long-time fans of the series might still be somewhat disappointed by the switch in developers; nonetheless, Eipix created Dark Parables: The Swan Princess and the Dire Tree with such perfection and care that it impressed me all the same. I hope this series continues to be successful, this can't be the end of an awesome HOPA Legacy!!!
I recommend this game!

Sylvia is a member of the Order, a secret organization dedicated to guarding the powerful Incarceri Stone. One year ago, she lost her memory during a dangerous mission. Now that the stone is stolen and Koshmaar, an evil monster, is on the loose - Sylvia and her mentor Solomon need to travel to the city of Lichtenheim and get back the stone before it's too late! Artifex Mundi have gone above and beyond with this edition of Grim Legends. If they keep on delivering top-shelf games like Grim Legends 3: The Dark City for the rest of this year, then the Best Developer of 2016 title should not be too far from their reach. The Dark City is the third installment in the wonderful Grim Legends series, and it is so far the darkest one yet. Grim Legends 3: The Dark City touches upon a relatively adult theme, considering the past two installments were fairytale-based. Artifex Mundi continues to wow me with an amazingly-written plot in this sequel. I love the way that the story is delivered in this game. The game does not only rely on dialogs and cutscenes, but also interactions with other characters, puzzles and the environment as well. In addition, The Dark City is as eventful as a HOPA can be - it is action-paced with an appropriate amount of surprises and twists. The art style in Grim Legends 3: The Dark City is slightly gothic, which is not something I see very often in the HOPA world. The visuals are spectacular - featuring high-budget cinematics, flawless animations and creative artwork. The soundtracks are equally epic. Everything about the gameplay is extremely polished, the game mechanics flow smoothly together and every single aspect of the gameplay is tuned to perfection.
The only draw back I can think of is that sometimes a well-put-together gameplay does not translate to challenge. Advanced players would find Grim Legends 3: The Dark City to be quite straightforward; from the fairly standard hidden object scenes to the simple puzzles. Despite that, the four-hour main game was a total blast to play. As a Collector's Edition, the game also comes with a couple of extra features; a bonus chapter, a strategy guide, wallpapers, soundtracks, concept art, cut scenes, achievements, collectibles, re-playable hidden object scenes and re-playable puzzles. I thought this high octane adventure presents an enthralling tale in a stunning package. For me this edition hits all the right marks - although I think a more difficult version of this would be very welcomed. Players of all levels should have a blast with this installment of Grim Legends. I really loved this one!!!

Wow! Daily Magic Productions, the creative minds behind Dark Dimensions and Sable Maze, delivers another high-quality HOPA series. This time, as a top detective, it's up to you to solve the strange murder case of the Maybard family? Yes, Emmett Maybard has been murdered. Your powers of investigation include Aura powers of deduction which gives you the ability to see ghosts. You also must dust inventory items to collect fingerprints to eliminate a whole host of potential suspects....Who actually did kill Emmett? Was it..
Grace Maybard (the wife)
Charles Maybard (the brother)
Rutherford (the butler)
Beth Dwyer (the Nanny)
Dahlia Maybard (the daughter)
Isobel (Emmett's lover)
Sophia Maybard (the sister)
Fredrick Llang (business associate)
Bartholomew Murphy (the family lawyer)
All of the suspects are really interesting characters. It's story is incredible; a suicide, a bloody hammer, a business deal that results in bankruptcy, a family member who walks in their sleep, and the last will and testament of Emmett Maybard!!! The developers have created a thrilling journey that is extremely engaging and impossible to predict. I give Cursed Cases the highest rating based only on this adventure and not comparing it to their other releases or developers of similar games. This was a must purchase for me and I hope more editions of this series come to Bigfish!
