Everyone needs a vacation after having saved the world, right? You would think so, but it turns out that it's not that easy if you are an M16 agent. Once you head out for a relaxing getaway, the world is in danger again! A god has escaped his prison and is seeking a way to destroy the world with the help of its stone statues. It just so happened that you came to Easter island for vacation and now all the stone statues are alive and after everyone. This god had been imprisoned by a Seeker in a crystal in a volcano, but the eruption set him free. You are also chosen to find a few other Seekers to help M16 defeat the stone army. In the process, you find out that you are one of them and possess the powers of a seeker. You need to hurry and learn how to use them against the giants before it is too late. The game's audio-visual presentation is great, though the close-up scenes seem to be much clearer and crisper than the larger panoramic scenes. The music adds drama to the events and the attack. The gameplay is not extremely challenging. You can adjust the difficulty level with the different modes and the hint and skips settings. The hidden object scenes are not very difficult and if you are not a fan of them at all, you can skip them in favor of a match 3 game. The puzzles are fun to play and you can choose if you want them easy or hard as you begin to play it. Collectibles alone are going to keep you quite busy. You are to collect 63 flowers, 22 statues, and 22 artifacts. In addition to this, there are 20 morphing objects. You can earn 36 achievements and replay 30 puzzles and 18 hidden object scenes. Having worked your way through all of this, you can enjoy all the media extras available for download.
Cursed goes for the classic horror set-up with a selection of stark locations, creepy characters, and otherwordly beasts blocking you at every turn. There are a handful of jump scares that include bats flying at the screen and people transforming into burning skulls, that sort of thing. Surprisingly it doesn’t come off as cheesy or hokey, it actually works in the game’s favor. Just a good old fashioned romp through a ghost town, complete with childrens’ voices whispering in the shadows. The main adventure in Cursed takes you through gray and empty scenery that’s packed with obstacles. Inventory management is minimal at best, with only a few items you’ll have to worry about picking up, carrying around or combining. The game is unusually obsessed with locks that have shapes missing from the front, a somewhat tired adventure game trope, but a puzzle’s a puzzle, right? Mini-games are sprinkled throughout the map, but they don’t offer anything strange or unusual, just a light diversion to take your mind off of the ghost that just threatened to kill you. Hidden object scenes sit at the core of the Cursed experience. They crop up quite frequently and feature a limited list of items at the bottom of the screen, the majority of which are interactive. Pick up, open, adjust and fiddle with the environment to uncover or create the items on your list, then grab them to free up some space. New items appear at the list until the entire queue is exhausted. You can’t grab items that aren’t currently displayed, which feels nonsensical at times. The scenes themselves are also a bit claustrophobic, but the density leans in your favor, cutting out lengthy searches in favor of compact and clever puzzles. Cursed is a stark game on every level. Most of the scenery is sparse, the interface is a bare minimum, and your interactions with the environment stay simple throughout the game. In most titles this would count as a negative, but for Cursed it’s a huge advantage. The horror genre is all about atmosphere, and these minimalist elements set the perfect scene for a genuinely creepy time. The puzzles and mini-games suffer a bit from this lack of intricacy, but overall it’s a net positive for me. And a scary one at that!!!
In this installment of Witches’ Legacy, you play Jack. The son of an author who is abducted into "the Otherworld" aka Sallenville in this story. If you've ever played this series, you know "the Otherworld" is a reoccurring theme in all of them. It's now up to you to locate and save her from a new Witch villain...Delora. Even though this is the same-old theme of the game, it features some mesmerizing visuals that keep me entertained. In fact, the graphics in this game are the best I have seen so far from this series, or even from this developer. There are a number of scenes that look totally splendid and we would totally make them my desktop wallpapers. As for the soundtracks, they are pretty dark which fit the game really well – I have nothing against the voice-overs they are standard these days. The hidden object scenes are quite fun and interactive, even though you have to play most of the scenes twice. There is a nice array of puzzles, the majority of them is of medium difficulty and are fairly standard. Also, the fan-favorite Imp helper Bertha is back – helping with our obstacles through cute animations. I'm always impressed with the amount of interactions at each location. Apart from the normal areas of interest, you can practically interact with every single object in the scenes. These interactions are definitely not necessary, but they did add some value to the game. The main game took me nearly 5 hours to complete; the bonus chapter is equally pleasant, and lasted around an hour. The Collector’s Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Strategy Guide, Screensavers, Soundtracks, Collectibles and some cool Achievements. Some fans will appreciate this continuation of the series, some will be on the fence. I love the series and added this one to complete the collection. I recommend checking our the entire series if you are new to it.
•Witches' Legacy: The Charleston Curse •Witches' Legacy: Lair of the Witch Queen •Witches' Legacy: Hunter and the Hunted •Witches' Legacy: The Ties That Bind •Witches' Legacy: Slumbering Darkness •Witches' Legacy: The Dark Throne •Witches' Legacy: Awakening Darkness •Witches' Legacy: Dark Days to Come
Louisa and Conrad grew up as close friends and eventually fell in love with one another. Unfortunately, the two lost contact as they grew older. When the day comes and Conrad offered to sell your father a rare, powerful artifact that can make any wishes come true – you couldn’t wait for a chance of a reunion. But as the old saying goes “every miracle has a price” – will Louisa be able to use this artifact for good or will she be corrupted by her own desires. On one hand, Immortal Love 2: The Price of a Miracle is a sweet, romantic story between Louisa and Conrad. On the other hand, this game is centered around the theme of morals and difficult choices. This uncommon combination makes this game much more interesting than many HOPAs in the market today. Also, it certainly helps that the storyline develops at a breathtaking pace and that exciting turns of events are awaiting at every corner of the road. The production in Immortal Love 2: The Price of a Miracle is nothing short of stunning. The graphics are beautifully rendered and textured, the visual effects are miraculously realistic, and the cutscenes are definitely stellar. Similarly, the voice-overs are extremely well done, and the soundtracks are immaculate. Immortal Love 2: The Price of a Miracle is no doubt, a very well put-together game. The experience could not have been more cohesive and the flow could not have been smoother. Still, there is no denying that Immortal Love 2 is also a disappointingly easy game. Advanced players of the genre will not be surprised by any of the tasks in the adventure part, as they have all been done before countless times. The hidden object scenes and the puzzles face the same issue; although delightfully-crafted, they lack originality and challenge.
I completed Immortal Love 2: The Price of a Miracle in just under 4.5 hours, which is most likely due to the easiness of the game. The bonus chapter is decent, and adds another 50 minutes to the game. The Collector’s Edition is pretty standard; a strategy guide, wallpapers, screensavers, concept art, soundtracks, cutscenes, replayable hidden object scenes, replayable mini-games, achievements, and collectibles.
I have all the Mystery Trackers series so I had to have this edition too. Mystery Trackers: Queen of Hearts Collector's Edition takes you to the small town of Brightfield, a pleasant village where things have mysteriously taken a complication for the worse. Apparently, the fine folks of Brightfield have been plagued by some kind of an odd illness that is turning them into diseased monsters. Can you travel to Brightfield and get behind the cause of this viral disease? You really have no choice or you too will succumb to the infection and become a monster yourself. Check it out whenever you get a chance. If decide this adventure intrigues you the Collector’s Edition, offers an extra bag of treats waiting for you. There is a really exciting bonus chapter at the end in which you can assist the Brightfield police as they hunt down a dangerous criminal. You can replay your favorite minigames and puzzles time and time again, and as you advance in the game you can pick up hidden collectibles and unlock achievements along the way. Much fun! And, if you happen to get stuck somewhere in the gameplay, you can ‘cheat’ and use the integrated Strategy Guide to help you figure out where to go next. I would also like to add that reviews of "Demo Play Only' can sometimes do a disservice to the game in it's entirety. I enjoyed this edition from beginning to end and onto the bonus game. Fans of the series are going to enjoy adding to this to their Mystery Trackers collection. If you are new to the series, this is a good place to start. I recommend to players of all levels...
The annual Christmas Stories game is here, this time bringing the classic story of “The Gift of the Magi” to life! The Gift of the Magi is a short story about a young married couple with not much money and how they deal with buying secret Christmas gifts for each other. This season Big Fish and Elephant have created a beautiful Holiday game out of this holiday classic tale. You are a little boy named Oliver who lives in an orphanage with your sister. You encounter an evil witch named Berta, who has an ugly troll and, at the beginning of the story at least, an angry elf named Goody. The game takes you through familiar tales with the assistance of JACK FROST as you try to defeat Berta and get your sister back from her after she kidnaps her. Save your sister and save the spirit of Christmas as you engage in this long playing adventure with bonus game. This is a sweet, family friendly game, and the fifth one in the "Christmas Stories" series! It just wouldn't be Christmas for me without this wonderful Big Fish tradition. If you haven’t played the previous installments yet; be sure to check out the excellent The Nutcracker, followed by A Christmas Carol, Tin Soldier and Puss in Boots. Happy Holiday's Big Fish and thanks for starting the season with this heart-warming series! xoxo's
I recommend this game!

GRIM FACADE 9 IS A WELL-ENGINEERED UNIQUE ADVENTURE
Grim Facade takes us back to Venice with this new installment, The Red Cat. Recently, a series of murders has been going on in town, with the killer announcing its victim by putting a Red Cat print on the victim’s front door. The Mayor has asked for your expertise when his son appears to be the target – can you catch this serial murderer and bring peace back to Venice? Grim Facade: The Red Cat follows an engaging storyline with stunning visuals. The art team at ERS-G has really stepped up their work with the studio’s recent releases, as the visuals in this game show no hints of fuzziness occasionally seen in ERS-G’s projects. ERS-G executed it in such a way that is both effective and entertaining. The fast-paced adventure is filled with interesting tasks to complete, and some of them can be quite tricky. Further, the puzzles are often complex and creative, and some are truly mind-blowing. The Red Cat also equipped you with a Memory Fragment Detector which allows you to replay what has happened in the location a few hours back. This improves your understanding of the storyline and gadget fans will appreciate this. The Collector’s Edition includes all the features expected from a HOPA by a leading developer; wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, a strategy guide, screensavers, collectibles, achievements, replayable hidden objects and replayable mini-games. No secret I am a BIG FAN OF ERS. I think this is one of the best Grim Façade games in the series. I urge first time player's to check out the series in it's entirety. Thanks Big Fish for continuing to offer beautifully bizarre games from these devs. •Grim Facade: Mystery of Venice •Grim Facade: Sinister Obsession •Grim Facade: Cost of Jealousy •Grim Facade: A Wealth of Betrayal •Grim Facade: The Artist and The Pretender •Grim Facade: Hidden Sins •Grim Facade: Monster in Disguise •Grim Facade: The Red Cat
This is the 10th installment of the Puppetshow series. What a terrific surprise for the second time this year, after the last release in January of this year with PuppetShow: The Face of Humanity Collector's Edition. The exciting Hidden Object Adventure saga continues in PuppetShow: Bloody Rosie. You have been asked by a doctor to investigate the mysterious murder of his wife. But is this just a regular case, or there’s more to it than meets the eye? I think Shauna, beta tester and Janet, beta tester nailed it. I am disappointed with the initial unflattering reviews because the adventure really begins to take off Post-Demo play. The production team also did an amazing job! The visuals are stunning, some of the best we have seen from ERS-G.I was impressed with all the details and things to look at in each location, as well as the amazing animations and character’s designs. In addition, the soundtracks really help build up the suspense and the voice-overs are pretty solid. I really love this series and have played them all. This release is indicative of how wonderfully bizarre ERS is at creating "outside of the box thinking" and making creepy COOL. I hope they will continue the franchise. Thank you Big Fish for this edition. I don't think it's time to RETIRE this unique series! If this is your first time playing Puppetshow here are the other titles that have made it a cult classic fan favorite. •PuppetShow: Mystery of Joyville •PuppetShow: Souls of the Innocent •PuppetShow: Lost Town •Puppetshow: Return to Joyville •PuppetShow: Destiny Undone •PuppetShow: Lightning Strikes •PuppetShow: The Price of Immortality •PuppetShow: The Face of Humanity •PuppetShow: Her Cruel Collection
Mad Head has created some great games this year, but this one is REALLY unique. You play Lana, who must continue the task her father first attempted. And save the village of Promise from danger! You must also save father and retrieve the Nucleus from the Forbidden Zone. Using mostly just your wits and climbing skills. Your grappling hook and rope maybe basic, but it’s your most useful tool. As you’ll need to find the quickest way through the ruins of the Old World. Be on the lookout for items that you can use or repurpose as tools and other useful items. With puzzles, mini-games and interactive hidden object scenes throughout. Play in 4 difficulty modes: Easy, Medium, Hard, Custom. A fast-travel map is available. And also indicates where locations and objectives are available. There’s a rechargeable hints system. And a rechargeable puzzle skip button. The time to recharge depends on the difficulty mode you’re playing in. A magic Rune table is another handy tool you have. With a runic match 3 mini-game, use it to combine items to make them into tools. With Collector’s Edition extras. Including a bonus chapter, collectibles, morphing items, achievements and a strategy guide. Skyline Adventure uses gorgeous artwork to set the scene. Brilliantly depicting remnants of both the elven world and the human world that have been left behind. With ruins of a city and it’s skyscrapers overrun with trees and foliage. And interspersed with Elven artifacts. There are plenty of puzzles and mini-games. With a good variety of challenge and type for both. There also some (but not many) interactive HOP scenes, which for the most part are relatively simple. The game play overall is not too challenging. However, where this game really excels is in the smooth and intuitive mechanics of the game play. As you journey through this unusual world. The game play makes the most of this intriguing elven and human combination. And gives this game a unique and refreshing feel. Explore the dangerous forbidden zone in this classic hidden object adventure to save the world of elves from destruction. Find hidden items from word lists or silhouettes and solve the trickiest puzzles to find the answer. Unlock a bonus chapter after completing the epic story mode. I would love to see this become an on going series in the Mad Head franchise. Thank you Big Fish! xoxo
