I was looking for a jigsaw game with bright and clear graphics, and this one delivers. You can select easy puzzles with just a few pieces, or make it more challenging by selecting jigsaw layouts with odd shapes, or all smooth edges, or lots and lots of pieces .. the choice is entirely up to you.
If you really want to take it to the next level, you can select multi-layer puzzles. Imagine dumping three boxes of puzzle pieces on the floor, mixing them up, and then trying to assemble all three puzzles from the pile. Once you decide to try the multi-layer puzzles, you might accidentally find yourself addicted. You can always begin with the easier one or two puzzles layered together, and progress to up to six puzzles layered together. I almost didn't even try to multi-layer puzzles because I thought they would be too tough, but now I'm finding myself going back to it over and over again.
There are no time limits, and there are several help buttons you can use, if you chose to use them. You can sort out all the edge pieces only, you can sort the puzzle into four quadrants, where it will automatically bunch the four areas together, or you can ask the hint button to show you two pieces that belong together. You can choose to show the picture of the puzzle you're assembling, or not. You can change the background picture to a blank page, or an alternate picture, or to match the picture you are trying to assemble, which makes solving a bit easier.
My favorite feature is that you can upload any photo from your computer, and make a puzzle out of it. I've already uploaded several photos for a multi-layer experience, so, depending on your choice of photos, it can be as easy or as difficult as you choose.
For instance, I uploaded four unique puzzles with different colored backgrounds, for an easier multi-layered puzzle challenge. Then, once I mastered that, I tried uploading four very similar photos of brightly colored flowers, and it got very tough to figure out the layers. The ability to load your own photos makes the combinations endless, and also adds a personal touch. Your puppy or kitty can be the puzzle, or load your favorite photo of your little munchkin. Your choice. Or just use the pre-loaded puzzles. Up to you.
I bought this game based on another reviewer's recommendation, and it has become my new favorite game. On the one hand, it's a simple Match 3 type of game, but on the other hand, there are plenty of twists and turns built into the game play, and it gets more and more challenging as you move through the games. Calm and pleasant sound effects, colorful graphics, and interesting mini-games to break up the rhythm so you don't get bored. No timer, so you can relax and take your time.
I always skip through the storylines, so I can't rate the storyline one way or another, but it's not a huge part of this game anyway. It's more about connecting the colorful bubbles to release the letters, to complete the various phrases. The "spending the bonus points you earn" is a fun way to break up the monotony.
Relaxing and enjoyable ... I definitely recommend it.
I like very bright, colorful graphics, and this one really delivers. Sound effects are pleasant and fun. This is a Hidden Object game, with easy to medium difficulty, and you can earn unlimited hints with the mini-games. No penalties for wrong guesses (you're permitted do-overs#. As you progress through the game, more mini games become available. If you get bored with the hidden object aspect of the game, you can easily switch to mini-games, and play them as often as you like.
I got through all the levels in two days, but this is one of those games you willingly repeat, again and again. It can be challenging, or easy and no stress ... your choice. Plus, you get the bonus of learning some interesting animal trivia along the way. Bet you'll learn some things you didn't know, and have fun doing it. For instance, did you know that some frog's bones grow in rings, like a tree, and the number of rings shows the frog's age?
My favorite part of the game is the brightly colored graphics, plus the ability to play unlimited mini-games #which are a mix of memory games, trivia games, speed puzzle games, and jigsaw puzzle games#. You get a good mix of games with this one purchase.
I almost always skip through the story line part of the game, so I can't really rate the story line, one way or the other. My only complaint, #and it's minor), is that the zoo keeper outfits place a bit too much emphasis on her upper torso, so parents might want to view the trial period first, to see if they find it offensive. It's not overt or trashy, but in a family-friendly game, it was an unnecessary addition. But other than that one miniscule warning, this game is a winner! Both kids and adults will like this one. Have fun!
hint: the "hand grabber" pointer in some of the games can be tricky ... be sure your "finger tips" are touching the object you are trying to grab, and when releasing the object, be sure your "hand" is floating in the center of the trash bin.
If you like the HO Jewel Quest series, you'll like this game. More challenging mini-games, and even though some of the same scenes are used from others in the series, different objects to be found. Difficulty level is low to medium. Find gold coins and jewels in each scene for bonuses.
I really enjoyed the concept of combining crossword puzzles with hidden objects. Sorry to say that I purchased the game two days ago, and blew through all 56 levels in only a day and a half. I would have enjoyed the game a lot more if it had higher levels of difficulty, (as you continue to progress through the game). This one is a game that held a lot of promise, but didn't quite deliver. Still, the overall gaming experience was positive. If you like crosswords that aren't too terribly challenging, and you like hidden object games, you'll probably enjoy this game.
