Excellent & Grimm Christmas Story

This is more lighthearted than most Grimm Tales however its storyline is very likeable, plausible & I enjoyed it! You are Grimm's daughter and you have to save Grimm & Christmas and various other characters you meet in Fairyland while the wicked are about trying to revenge-ruin it for everyone. Who knew Rapunzel's mother is such a witch and would fall for the bad guy? There were some twists on the games we normally play and you really have to use your noodle to find certain items -the prison stumped me for awhile. But I try to get all the awards no matter how long it takes rather than use the hint. I loved having to find the Christmas Trees - some are very hard to see but each are individually different. You have to find Gingerbread Cookies in many places on every page to purchase things in a secret room you decorate for Christmas! The music was nice, I like wind up music boxes I don't think a game can go wrong with that -ever. I totally think you will like this game as a Hidden Object game, morphing, plenty of other extras & fun Bonus Chapter stuff etc! This is Beginner to Intermediate level to Expert if you choose the Expert Level. Knowledge of these games would be better than to choose this as your first ever time to play one - if its your first to play I'd not choose its Collector's Edition Version as there are too many variables for a newbie to keep up with.

Kept me busy, was entertaining and more than just a hidden object but not by much. There were some puzzles. The items are hidden in plain site but piece-meal. Example: a key would be cut into 3 parts and spread around; a shoe 5 parts and on different parts of the page but in plain site -yet very well blended into its image match. It reminded me of the game I played as a child called "I Spy". Anyway, I liked it. I have also purchased the 2nd Mortimer Beckett game and there are four. It was nice not to be rushed or have drama. Good for lunch hour at work or for the kids too. There were no tech problems :o) The story is written comic book style.
I recommend this game!

I'm so sick of the dark game/dark scenes! I like to SEE my games and I appreciate good art - finally this is a game with beautiful fantasy scenery even tho the story is serious and this was carried thru the whole game.
It has a bonus chapter, wallpaper that moves and screen savers that are both lovely and freaky - straight from the story of course.
I liked the puzzles, achievements and the rewards. I played without using the hint button which lets you win all the achievements.
Its not all about HO, and has a great pace.
The music is good -not irritating and it matches its scenery and the story theme.
It has a great map that lets you move from place to place.
Its the continuation of the "Queens Tales: Beast & Nightingale". I highly recommend this game!
I recommend this game!
Prove the innocence of a young queen before she is put to death for a crime she didn't commit!

Game had great extras and achievements, was fairly easy and very entertaining. Well worth the money for a Brothers Grimm Tale of "The 7 Swans". Being a Brothers Grimm tale of course makes it a dark tale but the scenery and the mute sister of the swan brothers are beautifully made. Well put together, flowed well and some parts had me thinking hard before I put it all together. But overall it was fun. The bonus chapter too was awesome! I loved the artists rendering of the forest spirit folk that lived in Root City. THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF WHAT I FEEL MAKES A GREAT COLLECTORS EDITION GAME! ..and thats what helped me decide to give it 5 stars.
I recommend this game!
Margaret's soul has been broken into fragments and strewn across multiple worlds. Can you find them all and save her?

Was so sick of the dark and dreary HO's . I really liked the story and the whole game with the extras! The only bit of discomfort was some of the music but that's what option volume is for lol. I highly recommend this game. I wish I could put this whole game on my screen saver.

The game took off really well but right at the half way mark I found I was guessing alot rather than having game play that made sense - the items were so obscure that it was difficult to decide what was next. Also I played the game twice and finally consulted the guide and one frog could not be found - the same one each time. When I get a CE I except to have it play exceptionally well and for the kinks to have already been worked out. I felt I wasted my money.
I don't recommend this game.
An eccentric artist's creations have sprung to life, and they're terrorizing a small town.

The puzzles are pretty easy, like paint by number etc. It was ho-hum, the story is an artist in love with a woman who is getting married to another and she just thought they were friends but he feels spurned so he's going on a rampage of making everyone suffer. Its your job to defeat his painted monsters-come to life and rescue the bride and others who've fallen into the artist's line of fire. The art work of the scenes is drawn looking/flat and it was easy to beat the game. It was one of those that as a lover of HOG type games I won't replay and I removed it after I completed the game. But it filled some time and I did complete the game. I purchased the 'collectors edition' and wished I'd only paid for this version.
I don't recommend this game.
The fate of the magical world is in your hands – free it from evil!

I loved this game, played it more than once - I wish I had purchased the collectors edition - I could have saved some of the scenery! The HOG are unique and there was significant challange in the minigames which I've not played some of these type before. There were some that were simular to others like collecting and mixing ingrediants but overall the mini's were unique. Play the demo at the very least before deciding to dismiss this game!
I recommend this game!
You came to the town of Brownville, Louisiana hoping to find a new job. But you weren't expecting to stumble upon a strange adventure in a world filled with beauty and danger!

Finally a HOG w/ a new story line and new mini-games; I loved the world I was immersed into when the evil card game sucked me into it with mythological creatures and an awesome bonus game and a special puzzle if you found all the pieces during the game play (which its alot harder to find these pieces than a morphing object thats for sure) my eye found it hard to pick those pieces out even tho they were in sight. I was not able to win all the achievements first time around either so abit of a tough game but refreshing in its newness.
I recommend this game!

I loved the story, the colors, the minigames and you could be 4 different people in the game making the game played in a different order each time and when replayed if you are using your original self it changes it up for you. The music and characters are good, the old man shaman is a hoot to hear talking and the challenges are the same old stuff as in every other HOB, most challanges have a challenge with in itself. I think this is a game that ages 12 to 75 would enjoy. PS(I hope there is another "legend" in the making!)
I recommend this game!
