I have said before that a few games are the "best Big Fish game" I have played [like Phantasmat CE & Psycho Train & V.V's The Tree of Life, etc.] so it must seem insincere when I write this again but The Tin Soldier IS one of the very best games I've played from the Big Fish selections! I can't help it that developers keep making them better and better, YAY btw! First of all, it has many attractive additional features or trimmings like 35 puzzle pieces to find and also 15 miniature cats to locate. The scenery is all Christmasy/snowy and the graphics depict beautiful moments counterbalanced with evil troll attacks ordered by the evil Baron. Why? Well, he wants Nina for himself but her heart belongs to Charlie [just back from war] so there's a lot of revenge activity on the part of the Baron. Since 4 manners of play are offered--I chose custom with extremely low recharge time for hint & skip--one might wonder if the CE is necessary? Well, the strategy guide is integrated into the CE and yes, I did need help from it now and then...After all, there are 6 chapters plus 2 bonus chapters to the story. The HOGs vary in how they're played and include interaction; the puzzles are interesting/well done but if you're not a fan of them, you can have all puzzles removed in the custom options. So enjoy this great game with its cool cut scenes, excellent map, lovely music and generous profusion of Xmas magic & brilliant artistry.
I recommend this game!

I really liked this excellent fairly long game a lot [I was in casual mode]. Though not particularly easy, it may be the ONLY e-mystery I've played where I did not need help from outside the game so that was a BIG plus in its favour because I get annoyed with games so difficult that I have to resort to guides or forums or google: added to that, games like those are tedious to me because the gameplay is overly complicated and the storyline keeps getting broken--then I lose interest. BUT nothing bored me in PSYCHO TRAIN, it's now one of of my favourite Big Fish games! The background sounds [and intermittent music] are creepy but not overdone and the superb graphics provide disquieting ambience. You feel like you're really riding a train for much of the game, then you're all alone in a spooky station...and in other scary sites too but I don't want to reveal much plot other than to mention the threat of an ominous "TRAINMAN" who dominates the story as you try to rescue your missing child that he abducted! The occasional HOGs are well done and the puzzles are interesting too. All of the latter include a skip button [if desired] and the hint button is directional so that if you're ever wondering what to do next, just click for a hint. This game is full of sinister atmosphere [which adds to the fun of it] and I'd recommend it to anyone.
PS. If you bought a return ticket, ditch it and fly home. Haha
I recommend this game!

I tried Level 4.6 several times: Near the end, I needed 18 units of food to progress with gameplay but I could not get past around ten units then the workers would eat them up!This was SO disappointing because I could not participate in the last five mini-games at that level AND consequently I was unable to qualify for the BONUS game! Also, I couldn't even finish building the awesome amusement park I was creating from having attained five golden stars at Level 4. BUMMER! SUX! I Feel sad now, not happy at all...cuz I was very satisfied with the original 12 Labours of Hercules game and I LOVED this one even more because the addition of mischievous thieves was ultra cool. But the developers made 4.6 too frantic, way long, overly hard. I would have rated just 1 star [cuz I'm TICKED] but I'm giving 3 because Levels 1.0 to 4.5 were great fun...and I will still buy the next Hercules game [hoping ALL levels in #3 will be fairly designed.]
I recommend this game!

Holiday Jigsaw Halloween 2 is a great puzzle game: I enjoy figuring out jigsaw puzzles much more in my computer than in my home on a table because there's no forcing of pieces ["Hmmm does this piece fit here? I can't tell because it came out of the box bumpy"]. Also, there are no lost pieces here :D In this game, you know right away when each piece is placed correctly because there's a light whoosh sound when contact is right. The background music is relaxing, pretty in a mildly haunting way but not scary-haunting. This game is similar to the first version but there are many more puzzle choices in this one--there are thirteen pages including a lot of photos under each of five categories. The topic names are:- Costumes, Treats, Decorations, Family, Autumn. My only disappointment is that there are not enough dark pictures for my liking--considering the theme--but I'm still rating this game 5 stars because a ghost image [of each selection] is available, there's a magnifying glass, border-pieces at start [if desired], sorting button, hint-help as many times as you want it...and you get to choose puzzle cuts style, number of pieces from 12 to 330...and most important>>>you click yes or no for pieces rotated or not. It's much more challenging if they all arrive rotated at beginning of picture-solving but that choice is up to you each time. Overall, this game is well made for beginner or advanced enjoyment and it puts you right into the pre-Halloween hype mood. FUN!
I recommend this game!

I really liked this game a lot, I think it's one of the best Hidden Object Games that I have played. The plot is fun---you play an FBI agent out to track down a jewel thief on a cruise ship . The graphics are excellent, the ports of call are lovely and the venues on the cruise liner are visually exciting. The objects to find are quite often interactive and there are joined areas to search in many of the locations. The items are not all easy to find as some are well hidden or blended into the scenes but a hint button is available. TIP: There is no tip to find the bayonet/sword in the beach scene so look across the water to a tree trunk on the far island: it took me SO LONG to find that, but now you know :) The game's music is pleasant and the puzzles are not too hard, yay because I'm not a fan of difficult puzzles. The only thing I did not like is that in a few of the scenes, there is a scary object or two---rodent or creepy bug---so I made sure to rush though any scenes if I came across them.
I recommend this game!

Basically, all the player has to do in this game is to get a cute crab from Point A to Point B [hidden treasure] at each M-3 level. A specific path must be followed or the crab cannot move and often, the Match 3 items are far away or at least not where you want them. I found it very hard to advance my sea critter and he was heard to yawn several times because my pace was so slow. No kidding! [Luckily, I was in untimed mode.] There are HOs too and mini-puzzles [including a skip option]. Power ups are also available and eventually, you earn enough money to rebuild Atlantis. The graphics and music are excellent and I rated those 5 stars but I really found it quite a challenge to get my crab moving and stop him yawning rudely...so I uninstalled after about an hour [IF that].
I don't recommend this game.

This is another entertaining mystery created by Floodlight Games. Despite the fact that some of the Hidden Object items are difficult to locate, "Twice in a Blue Moon" haunts you with its unnerving serial killer and spooks you with realistic crime scenes. The murder-solving team of female detective, forensic lab examiner and diligent reporter keeps the storyline action moving along at breakneck* speed [*pun intended, lol]. In addition to HOGs, there are also mini-games which you're able to play or skip [though I always looked forward to the clever Cup-o-Joe game available in the writers' cafe. So fun!] The plot development is created by the celebrated real-life author James Patterson and that is probably why it's very absorbing. Even though the HOGs are quite challenging, I had to rate the graphics a five [overall] since the crime scenes were extremely well done artistically. Now I've played 2 of the Women's Murder Club video game series and will likely buy them all as they're well made and exciting for sure.
I recommend this game!

This game is so good technically, in the past I've had glitches with a few games of this type but NOT this one: it flows very smoothly. There is a team [female detective, forensic lab tech, reporter] to solve the multi-murder mystery and also a varied compilation of suspects and victims. The storyline is interesting and there are many sites for HOGs but you're never confused as to where to go since the well-made game directs you to new venues. There are different mini-games and IF desired, you could skip them without penalty. Graphics are excellent on the whole but I could only rate them a 4 out of 5 because some of the items to locate are either so small or incredibly hidden. Still, I did manage to find them with the occasional help of a hint button. Overall, this is a terrific game and I would have given it 5 stars except for my whine about finding things [because FYI, my laptop screen is only 17 inches].
I recommend this game!

This is my new Favourite Hidden Object Game and the graphic art is very beautiful, especially in the 3 or 4 snowy walk scenes depicting different times of the day and weather changes: A feast for the eyes, lovely to imagine yourself right there in the game. I recommend that you play in "carefree" mode as the timed game would be hard to do quickly since some of the items to locate are difficult to see [small in size or faded in colour]...it takes a while for your focus to adjust. I really enjoyed most of the mini-games, especially escorting wedding guests past the drunken groomsmen HAHA and the ones where you become a wedding photographer and create your own artistry. Note, IF you don't like any of the mini-games though [I was not fond of the cake-making one], a skip feature is available. Now to the romantic storyline, it is very well done with character development, dialogue and voices, a moving love tale. I wish Floodlight Games would create the whole Bride Quartet of stories by Nora Roberts, I would definitely buy them all.
I recommend this game!

This exciting game is SO spooky and very well done. You play a detective out to find a boy kidnapped from an orphanage in Venice. WOW the artistry of the mysterious locations is outstanding, maybe the best I have seen in Big Fish. There are 2 modes of play with hidden object games and puzzles. The HOs have various differences to each other and some are highly original [items morph!]. The final HO has moving parts that are interactive and I was thinking, "What a clever mind to have thought this up!" Likewise the puzzles are unusual and if you're like I am, you will want to know there IS a skip button. You might wonder how I got through this ingenious game without a guide? Well, the hint button is also directional so that anytime I got stuck, I could just press it and I would be guided to the next location. Also, the game has a list of goals that appear when one is reached and then a new one is shown. The music and sound effects are good [though ominous] while a variety of ghosts appear at random and keep you on edge right through to the end. The storyline is interesting, evolves well and I would recommend this game to players of any level. I rate it: A+ and 6 stars [out of five! lol
I recommend this game!
