I have been playing Midnight Castle every day since I started in August. I loved the game until the last update. With this update, game play has changed so that I no longer have incentives to play and am very disappointed. Up to this time, it was possible to work to craft items and play HOS to gain special items in order to make coins to level up. Now, gaining needed special items in the HOS has become nearly impossible and the player gifting has become difficult at best. The gifting was one of the most enjoyable things about the game. I no longer have any incentive to play. My rating was 5 star until this last update; now I struggle to give it a 3 star rating.

I can't say enough good things about this game. It was beautifully done - from the excellent user interface, superb graphics, lovely sound and music to great characters and an ending that I wish could be real. The puzzles were not too demanding, and the HOS were well done with beautiful graphics. The voice of the blue whale was perfect - reminded me of Dumbledore in Harry Potter. I play many games and don't mind those with an element of horror. However, this game was a welcome relief from those and leaves the gamer with an upbeat feeling. Truly enjoyable!
I recommend this game!

This was a really interesting and enjoyable game. I loved the well-thought user interface. It was helpful without being in the way; it even told me when I had cleared an area of puzzles. I liked that a lot because I didn't have to waste time searching an area to see if I needed to do anything else. The graphics were lovely, and the music was nice (after you got through the initial screens when the constant lightning and thunder noises were a bit distracting). I will enjoy playing this one again and plan to look for more games by this developer. (GOGII)
