When I found this game, I was thrilled. PvZ is one of my all-time favorite games. I immediately downloaded and bought this game. Now, I'm kinda sorry I did.
I had a lot of fun until I got to level 2.1 when the rain started. When the rain starts, the birds go away UNLESS you can afford to pay for them. Well, if you don't have enough money, you can't buy them. If you can't buy them, you have to earn enough stars simply by getting treasure chests and hoping they produce enough stars in order for you to get your weaponry. Well, I didn't have enough money for the birds, and it took WAY too long to gather enough stars, so I became discouraged and uninstalled the game.
This game truly is fun and will keep you entertain, but make sure that you get as much money earned so you can purchase what you need at the store. If not, it's hard to win.
At first, the game was fun. I enjoyed the challenge, but if I have to work and work and work at a game too long, I lose interest. That's what happened with game.
If you like a challenge and you have the patience to figure things out (or you just may be naturally sharp at doing that), then this game is for you. If not, don't bother.
Lately, I haven't found too many games that interested me, but this one I loved right off the top. This game is cute and cartoonish. The game play, so far, has been fun, exciting, and somewhat of a challenge, but not too much - it's a fun type of challenge. The cartoonish graphic are funny. I found myself LOL. You have to make some strategic moves, but it's fun trying to figure out how you can hit as many targets at once.
I wish more games like this would come out. I got tired of the HOGS and the dark theme so many of them have. This game is light-hearted and relaxing.
When I first saw this game, I was excited because BFG doesn't come out with many arcade games. I thought this game was going to be another Plants vs. Zombies, but I quickly, after 30 minutes of playing, realized it was far from P v. Z.
At first, it was fun, but then it began to sour and got very annoying because of two things: 1) The constant recharging of the plant, and 2) The fact that it took so long to be able to get enough money to upgrade.
Regarding the recharging. When you are on attack mode, you need something that can do the job. Because of the recharging, it hindered the attack of the enemy. Regarding to upgrade issue. It took too long to make enough money to be able to upgrade. I think when I first started playing, I was able to upgrade twice - maybe. It was very frustrating. Because of those two things above, I decided to uninstall the game.
I really wanted to like this game, because these kinds of games are few and far between, but it just didn't stick.
OK, I have to admit this game pulled me in, but at first, after doing the trial for about 15 minutes, I thought, "What's the point. This game is overrated." Boy, was I wrong! I decided to keep playing, and after about 25 minutes, I was HOOKED. MRW is truly the next best thing to Plants vs. Zombies.
It's mega fun, challenging, and very cute. As the game progresses, the challenges get more and more difficult. I agree with the poster that said a lot of strategy is needed. Whew, that's the truth. In fact, I'm going to visit the forum to get some tips.
Even though I'm not finished playing, I highly recommend this game to those who loved PvZ, and how want a game that keeps them on their toes and energized!
I recommend this game!

Several years ago, I played the trial of this game, and didn't like it. I really didn't understand tower defense games until I played Garden Rescue (Christmas edition). Now, I'm a HUGE fan! This game is a blast! I'm still learning the strategy, but I think if one has a strategic mind and enjoys the thrill of defeating the enemy, I think this game is for you!
The graphics are cartoonish, but appropriate. The music is enjoyable and is goes along with the game. You get a lot of weapons to work with, and you'll need them because those zombies come in droves at time.
I saw the sample video of this game, and at first thought, "No, it doesn't look like a game I would enjoy." Boy was I wrong. I love this game!
As others have said, you are in a fishing tournament and you get points/money based on how many fish you catch. That sounds easy enough, but at times, to me, it was highly annoying. That darn birds snatched most of my fish (I guess I hadn't gotten the swing of using my mouse correctly to catch the fish). What's more, there are other enemies you have to battle in order to catch fish.
I think some developers of games, in an attempt to make a game challenging, go a little to far. Even though I enjoyed the game, sometimes, especially with those darn birds, it would make me a bit frustrated. Also, there are other things you have to battle as well, and all at the same time!
Anyway, I would recommend this game if you have patience.

Normally when I look for a game, I check to see what people are saying about it. I check the lower ratings first, and then I work my way up.
This game was a blast. I loved it because it consisted more of puzzles, that were not too difficult (other than trying to figure out what in the world they wanted the player to do), but once it was clear, the puzzles were fun, but not too challenging.
The storyline was a pleasure to follow. I don't always follow the storyline when I play a game, but this story line was good, sad at times, but that's what adds flavor to a game in my humble opinion.
Again, I loved the fact that there were plenty, and I do mean, PLENTY of puzzles and very few HO scenes (that was a MAJOR plus, as I don't like regular HOGs).
The graphics were beautiful, very artistic and very pleasant to view. The music was pleasant as well. It fit with the story.
Oh, and it is LOOOONNNNGGGG! I thought this game would never end, and was pleasantly pleased that it didn't end so fast.
For a long time, I had been a HUGE fan of HOG; however, I quickly got tired of them. I hadn't played one in about a year or so, but decided after reading some of the rave reviews this game got, I decided to give it a try, and I'M SO GLAD I DID! I renewed my joy of doing HOGS. Why, you might ask.
The storyline and graphics were professionally and wonderfully done. The scenes kept me riveted. Usually I "skip" them, but not with this game. Of course the music is to go without saying. Classic! I always loved the "Nutcracker Suite." The game play was fantastic. There weren't too many hidden object scenes for my taste and there are many more puzzles vs hog scene (I like that a lot). The hog scenes that were there were quit easy. The puzzles were not too hard, yet just challenging enough for me.
If you like a great storyline, graphics, a good HOG to puzzle ratio, and entertainment, I would recommend this game.
