One of the best time management games I have played. This game is soooo much fun! I had to buy the full version as soon as my hour ended on the trial version. This game really keeps your fingers moving and your brain thinking. There are lots of levels to play through, dozens of different challenges and you get to upgrade the things in the store like shelves, freezers, items to keep your customers happy, and other odds and ends. If you don't complete a level as an expert you get to redo the level. The only part that can be tricky is The game's environments are often crowded, which can make it tricky to touch the precise shelf you need to re-stock or shake you need to make. Bottom line....keep your customers happy so they don't leave and shop at Walmart. =)
I have to say this game was a lot of fun! It was very short though compared to its sister game (Spirits of mystery: song of the phoenix.) I have both games and both are collector's edition. I would recommend you not buy the CE for Amber maiden. The extras were not worth the money and the ending was poorly done (ended abruptly# with no feeling of an accomplished ending. Song of the phoenix has a very cute ending in the CE #I wanted to pull that cutie out of the screen I tell ya hee-hee-hee) Amber Maiden had A LOT of HOG where as Song of the phoenix had more of a variety of games, puzzles and hog. Both games are worth having in anyone’s collection that likes HO/adventure games.
This game was not very creepy. The visuals and audio were nothing to scream about. A lot of HOG and back and forth in this game. Some of the items that I accumulated I needed to use but had no clue how (some made no logical/common sense to me) and I had a hard time figuring out what I had to do next or where I needed to go. The patients had no voices which was ok with me since I’m not a big fan of the voice over’s. I didn’t understand why when you helped the patients they stayed in their rooms and didn’t leave the Sanitarium? I would have booked it out of that crazy place. Overall the game was “okay” and if you are a young kid you will enjoy this game. I would also like to note getting the SE is all you need. CE is a waste of monies imo.
This game was fun and had great visuals. The storyline was good but choopy. I didnt understand what the point was with the dissapearing doors? Morphing objects were hard to find and I didn't get all of them and if you miss some in particular areas, you won't have a chance to go back. If you like A LOT of hidden object games this one is for you. I got bored with them as there were soooo many. The mini games where fun and range from easy to hard. There is also a lot of back and forth with this game. You do get a map so that makes things easier when traveling. I found the elevator to be a waste of time, waiting for it to go up and down. Overall this was a fun game and if you really like HO then this one is for you.

This is a very fun game. I was hooked in the first 20 min and bought the Collector's Edition. It was well worth buying and is better than the standard edition. The puzzles were different and fun and some pretty darn challenging. Not much backtracking (that’s always a plus) the hidden objects were interactive and no junk piles to look through. As a matter of fact the hidden objects were far and few and not one after another like in some games. It took me 4 hours to complete. I would have wanted it to be longer, as the saying goes all good things must come to an end. The only thing I did not like and felt it was a waste of time/pointless, was the use of the amulet to remove dark magic.
