The hint button and skip button only work on hidden object screens or for the few puzzles. There isn't a map to help you get around. You go back to the same hidden object screens twice and sometimes pick up the same objects. There is, however, a walkthrough if you want to put up with going back to it.
I don't recommend this game.

Dark Dimensions: Homecoming
For years, Barton Mansion sat abandoned, a haunting reminder of an obsession gone wrong. But something sinister still lurked there...and it's stirring.

Great game with lots to do. It has a map, notes and a video diary. The hidden objects are inter-active as you have to fine pieces of one object to locate another and so on. The mini-games are not too difficult and there is a great variety. You also have a dog named, Rocky, to assist you. The game plays like an CE (it is long and complicated). The hint button is helpful and you sometimes can teleport.
I recommend this game!

Sea of Lies: Burning Coast
A mysterious plague is sweeping through towns along the coast, and you're the only one who knows the truth!
Help the ghosts put back the moon. There are 86 levels to rebuild the town and restore the moon to the sky. These are interspersed with cards and mahjong. The game keeps going after the goals have been finished. Loved the colorful icons.

Clever characters and nice graphics aimed more for kids. The rooms of the orphanage are opened as you play the game but you continue to go back to the same rooms and often repeat finding the same hidden objects. This was somewhat boring. The mini-puzzles are okay. I recommend the game for kids or beginners.

SE version is long and a lot of fun. I especially liked the clear graphics and design. The Smithsonian fact cards are always of interest. Some of the mini-games are new to me and the hidden objects are either interactive or unusual. There is a map. The hint button is helpful and can teleport you to the next place.
I recommend this game!

Villa Banana
Welcome to a tropical paradise! Design your very own villa and garden on the seashore in this engaging Match 3 game!
This game came out in 2011 but I decided to try it based on a recommendation on a forum. It has nice graphics and you fix up your island home and grounds. The matching of fruit is colorful and through the 60 levels the game becomes harder. You do acquire bombs and rockets to help.

This game has it all. A cute story and a rebuilding of town. You can choose Relaxed or Timed for each individual level, or set one or the other. You can make four sequences at beginning of each level to gain gold, wood or iron. There are mini-games, matching and puzzles. You can find the treasurer chests and clear tiles to find the collectables to be used by the people in the City. Great power-ups but use on each level as they do not save.
