I beta tested this game, and couldn't wait for the full game to come out. It certainly did not disappoint! I enjoyed everything about the game. It was incredibly fun.
The graphics were crisp and clear, nowhere muddied or so shadowy you couldn't see what you were supposed to be doing - which is one of my greatest pet peeves in Hidden Object Games.
The sound was good, what I could hear of it. Unfortunately one of my new kittens had chewed through my speaker wires so I couldn't hear the sound as I would have liked to be able to report on it. Sorry.
The mini games were fun, but some could have been a bit more challenging.
The storyline was very good. I greatly enjoyed this game. I hope that they continue this series for a long time. This is the kind of game that made me fall in love with Hidden Object Games. I can't wait for their next installment.
I recommend this game!

This game is absolutely awful. The hidden object scenes are either too dark, too jumbled (NOW I understand my fellow HOG gamers who complain about junk pile hidden object scenes), the hidden object list is itself too obscured (yes, there are scenes where you cannot see a single thing in the hidden object list because they are completely shadowed! And you are constantly penalized for misclicks.), or you are given just ridiculously too little time to complete a hidden object scene.
If you are a fan of the Art of Murder series, do not expect this game to be ANYTHING like the others in the series. Really, what were the developers thinking trying to slap the Art of Murder title on this fiasco?
The fun factor was ZERO! By the time I reached the medical examiners' office - which is very early in the game - I was, frankly, furious with the poor quality of graphics, visual and sound, and level of challenge.
If it were possible, I would have given this game NEGATIVE STARS!!!
Oh, and as someone who spent 20 some years in the Protective Services, the utter incompetence of the characters would have seen them with a big boot to the rear out the door, don't even THINK of trying to obtain a pension, we can't see your backside soon enough, firing.
I don't recommend this game.

This game must have been dreamed up from an awful campy "B" movie someone saw. I mean really, who decides to go camping right beside an abandoned Soviet military bunker? And predictably an evil mad scientist kidnaps your useless girlfriend, who can do nothing but scream and flail helplessly, to perform hideous experiments on her.
The visuals were alright most of the time, though too dark at times - besides the times when you are looking for lights. The sound too, was alright, nothing spectacular.
The hidden object scenes were clear and crisp and well lit. The problem came with asking for things that weren't in the scene, or were in the scene but not allowing them to be clicked on. At one point, in the kitchen, '2 cans' were asked for. None of the multitude of cans in the scene worked. When a random click on a bag of wheat worked for one 'can' the second 'can' immediately changed to be listed as a 'bank'. In several other scenes items were listed which were made up words. I know this for a fact because I jumped out of the game and looked them up in the dictionary.
The mini games were horrid too, with many of them running out of the scene, so that you get kicked of the game and have to keep re-entering it.
All in all, very very disappointed with this game. And very glad I did not spend any money on it. Just wish I had not wasted a free game certificate on it. And it was a complete waste. This is one game I will NEVER play a second time.
I don't recommend this game.

This is the second worse game I have played lately. The only one worse was the Coronation Street Missing Hot Pot Recipe or whatever it was called. Games that rely on making hidden object scenes so dark that you can't see anything in them are egregious and abominable examples of the genre. The situations you have to solve are ridiculous. In one spot there is a draft coming through a window that is so strong that you cannot walk past it, yet there is a newspaper lying in front of it. If you actually play this game, you will not believe the "solution" for this situation. You spend more time backtracking halfway across the game to get to another hidden object scene than you do actually playing the game. Also, the character is whiny and prissy. It is a shame, because the story line and the sound quality are good. This game could have been SO much better. I am severely disappointed in the visual quality of this game and the organization of it.
I don't recommend this game.
