I almost gave this 4 stars but settled on 3. For casual gamers it's nice. There aren't any difficulty settings such as limited moves or time so each level is completed without fail. For this game it's not necessarily a bad thing although I do like somewhat of a challenge. The repetitive music is nice and doesn't get under my skin. The visuals are colorful and comfortable. Another aspect I'm on the limb with is the purchased upgrades. Just a little into chapter 2 I'd already purchased the most powerful one which pretty much finishes the levels in one fail swoop, a dragon literally comes down and blasts pretty much everything. If I use any other upgrade it erases the energy buildup of all other power-ups, so I basically just play until that one is ready and finish the level with it. I'm still playing it so I'm not totally bored but whether or not I complete the game is yet to be seen. I'm about 40% through it. The story's simple and charming, the characters look like they were drawn by a college student, and the built areas are just different enough where they won't get sued, for example the arena has little wizards on brooms but the stands and enclosed areas resemble a Roman coliseum.

This game shows how simple a game can be in size and speed yet really enhanced with excellent visuals and sound. The matches pop, crackle, boom, and shatter which to me makes it fun to play.

The game is attractive with bright contrasting shapes and beyond rated 'G' story of a girl who is discovered to be something else and must leave her land. The gameplay, although with various tools to aid along the way, to me was for the most part boring. There's no time limit or number of moves options so it's basically keep matching until you finally fulfill the goal of each level. I personally like a challenge of some kind, although just level 2 took me forever to finish. 2 areas were bottle-necked so to speak with no possible matches in their areas, so I had to keep plucking away at one area's bottom until finally I could move some of the shapes and get a match - 3 going inside the other two. It took me almost 20 minutes to complete that one level. Maybe that's why there's no time limit or # of moves. Another negative in my opinion is matching 4 or 5 objects gives no power-ups like most do. It was boring, a charming game but boring.

Though this game offers a 'relaxed' mode, I like a challenge and do the 'limited moves'. I can't tell you how many times I get down to the very last coin and run out of moves. I have to look the board over and figure out the sequence of occurrences for each level. The only real difference in this version and the last is the new challenge of covered areas which have to be moved. Other than that, it's just another great 'Spellarium', perfectly balanced levels, some easy and some tough, but none without inevitable success.

The standout to me are the many puzzles in this game, most requiring some thought, some a lot of thought, and some a walk in the park. It's one of those you'll feel proud of yourself if you can complete them all without any hints or skips. The boy character is kind'a whiny and the mouths are minimally animated, looks kind'of bizarre not moving accurately at all with the voice audio. That being said it's a visually fascinating game. It's going into my list of favorites.
I loved the colorful excitement going on and on normal mode the difficulty is perfect. At this point I've gone through at least 20 challenges and only ran out of time twice and barely made it in time with few others. I'd lose myself into the visuals sometimes and realize I'm not paying attention to the goal. It's a visual feast for the eyes and ears.
I thought I'd toss props to this 2011 game which I'd just been introduced to. To this later part of 2019 this game still surpasses most I've ever played. Don't let age fool you, this game is outstanding. I love the Egyptian theme, the music, the game graphics, & the variety of challenges.
This game was fun until I got to the last 3 or so levels. I'd already purchased all I could and the things I collected during the last levels were for no reason. I went ahead and played them because I'm that way and do understand it's the last of the game anyway, but still maybe some really crazy things to find at the end would have topped off an otherwise fun game perfectly.

For a purist like me who like to finish every room, this game is quite frustrating. There's a room in many of the levels where you combat the computer a.i. in a head-to-head matching competition and after level 50 or so it gets downright frustrating. I'd be up almost half a bar and suddenly everything begins falling in the opponent's favor. Sometimes it takes 10+ times before I finally win. What's even worse is most times I'll be right on the edge of victory, then suddenly, DENIED, computer a.i. kicks in. Just a little more fairness there and this game would be amazing. The rest of the game is quite fun. It's a small thing but is very frustrating. The room can be skipped, I think anyway, I refuse to. I want to clear every room, not skip one due to relentless computer unfairness.
