If you like law & order and GOOD crime shows - this is for YOU. it is not too cartoonish and the puzzles are unique and different. This seems to be a new step in games that is innovative and unique.
I recommend this game!

I usually play my games on expert. But I didn't get a chance to do that here. There is one level and lack of story and flow. There is no movement or wandering. If you like a puzzle only game - this is for you. For me, I made it to the 3 part of the puzzle and deleted it. You can't go from one area to another and explore. I saw that it got rave reviews - maybe I'm missing something.
I don't recommend this game.

I really liked this one on advanced mode and did not feel as it was overly difficult. The puzzles were a bit unique and the HOPs were not overly boring or predictable. I loved the fact of the morphing while in a room. It was a unique idea I hadn't seen before and the change was quick with no hang=ups. I also liked the fact there was lots of interactions.
I recommend this game!

I love the graphic quality of this game and the story line. It was challenging for an experienced player and I did have to skip a puzzle in order to avoid a mental break down. My only negative is that there is not enough help in regards as to how to operate the puzzles. But the graphics and story make up for it. Also, you as the character are VERY interactive, elevated breathing, heart rate, etc as you move along the game and activities.
I recommend this game!

I thought some of the puzzles were challenging - but the graphics were so cartoonish, it sickened me. I played it through only because I purchased it. If I could have asked for my money back I would. This was the ONLY game I have ever felt this way from Big Fish and I am an avid purchaser. So if you are a seasoned Big Fisher - be warned.
I don't recommend this game.

I loved this game from the start because it got right into it and the dialogue scenes were short and not wordy. You could click past them without loosing info for the game. I played advance and the game was challenging, but not too difficult to get myself frustrated. Everytime I thought I was ending,,, it continued. The bonus chapter was another game in itself and not too be snuffed at.
I recommend this game!

I played 13 Skulls and Dire grove and thought this was going to be like those - so I bought it without trying first -- big mistake for someone who likes more of strategy than hide and seek.

I loved the multiple stories within the main story. The only downfall --- the puzzles were easy for an experienced person. I didn't use hint once. But, it was intriguing and kept me interested.

Puzzles were really nice and the story was very well done. I played this for 4 days and enjoyed it. The only con was a lot of back and forth action.

Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove
A recently unearthed artifact proves a dark legend to be true! Follow the trail of a group of missing graduate students.
This was not your typical hidden object game! I loved the fact that it was more SLEUTH and Mystery than just clicking objects. The puzzles were medium challenging but the use of the objects and how to figure it out was the best. For those seeking a challenge: You cannot hint your way out of the sleuthing == only the puzzles. So if you want a fun challenge - it is worth the buy! It mixes realistic video and historic plot.
