I really enjoyed this game. It was quite different but pleasantly so. Some parts were quite challenging for me, but I muddled my way through. I would highly reccoment getting the CE as the hints were not always very helpful and the only walkthrough was on YouTube and it was terrible. It showed a solver's first attempt at the game so you had to sit through all their many trials and errors. It should have been done by someone who had completed the game. With so few really good gams coming out now it was totally refreshing to find this one.
I recommend this game!

I have some League of Light games I like. This is not one of them. It is different in the way it is played and since some like the game I mistakenly thought those that didn't just didn't like that it was different. It is the worst game that I have ever played. It is repetitious and boring. The molecule games were fun at first, but even they got boring. Not only were the HOP's very similar they revisited the same scenes so that you felt you were doing the same HOP over and over. I used the hint button a lot because I got tired of trying to find objects that were impossible to see. Sadly, I wasted my money.
I don't recommend this game.

What a nice break from the dark, dreary, and depressing. I look forward to puzzles that actually occur in brightly lit backgrounds. I had a hard time getting started but stuck with it long enough to figure it out and then I was hooked and had to have it. It is so whimsical and imaginative that it draws you in. I would have given it 5 stars except for the help button. It was poorly done. Sometime it flashed so quickly that I missed it and would have to wait for a much too long recovery time to try again. I am an elderly retiree and my eyes are not what they used to be and neither is my old tv that I use for a monitor.
There were times when I would click several times on what might be a small portion of a hidden object and nothing would happen and then after clicking on the help button I would discover it was actually an object I was looking for., But all in all it was a lot of fun and I wish it could have been longer.
I, too, discovered that Big Fish has no walk through or blog for this game, but for those uses who got frustrated because of this, you can go on the internet and find a walk through.
Besides the poor help button, there is no tutorial to help people get started. Because of this they have probably lost a lot of sales.
I recommend this game!

I own all of the Lost World games and this one doesn't even look like it belongs in the series. It looks as if it were done by a totally different crew. They changed the way Susan looks to where she is no longer attractive, and her hair is an ugly mess. Where the previous games had a lot of daylight scenes with really nice colors, this one was dismal, dark, and depressing. And that pretty much describes the story line, too.
When I play I like to sit back and relax and left the game unfold. I don't want to have to keep paper and pencil at hand to copy down clues. Towards the end I just skipped those rather that bothering with them.
This. in all likelihood will be the last Lost Worlds I will buy. Sad.
I don't recommend this game.

I really liked the game overall, but have to complain about the visual quality. The art work was great, but developers need to take in to account that some of us just can't afford to have the latest, greatest, largest monitors. When they make the HO's so dark that you have to use the hint to find some of the objects it really takes away from the enjoyment and leaves you feeling a bit cheated. I found it interesting that the collector's edition with 50 reviews had about a 4 1/2 overall rating while the standard had only 3. Perhaps it's because it is not your standard cookie cutter game and many aspects of the game are quite difference which I found appealing.

When I started the demo I was not sure if I liked it. But as I played more of it I decided I liked the colors. I have grown really, really tired of the dark and dreary, the swirling smoke, and the creeping vines. The games were a bit different and the story line had potential so I bought it. This was one of those games where the demo held your interest enough that you decided to buy it then are sorry you did because when you get past where the demo ended it goes rapidly down hill. The music at times got so annoying that I had to mute it. The translations needed a proof reader in the worst way. The developers either ran out of ideas, ran out of time and/or money, or just lost interest. They resorted to a lot of arcade type games which turned me off. With the wide variety of games on this site, if I wanted to just play arcade games I would buy one.
I don't recommend this game.

How wonderful it was to play such an imaginative, well executed game. This game illustrates how it is not necessary for a really good game to be dark or violent or have the oh so over done swirling smoke . A bit challenging at times, but patience will win out. I loved the graphics and the inventiveness of the scenes. A real pleasure to play and was sorry to see it come to an end. I am hopefully looking forward to seeing more along this line.
I recommend this game!

When the Mortimer Beckett games came out several years ago, at that time they were quite fun. Except for this one. Although, in all the games the pieces could be hard to see, this one could be very difficult. I found the ghost penalties to be extremely irritating. They started popping up after only one or two clicks and because the pieces were hard to find they popped up very quickly and if you tried to keep looking in the same room, more and more ghosts would pop up. But you can get relief by going to another room, But all the rooms were so full of similar junk that when you went back to a room it was difficult to remember where you had clicked, then the first thing you know, the ghosts are baaaaaaak!
I don't recommend this game.

I did not like this as much as the previous games. Although well designed and well put together it did not really grab my interest. It was all over the place. Way to much jumping around to the point it lacked continuity and I just kind of lost track of the story line. My map button worked very poorly (could be the fault of my sluggish computer) and I ended up using the hint button to get around. Which I may have done anyway in view of all the hopping around. I recommend this game as it is worth playing.

It's a good thing I bought the summer and fall sequels to this first because I really enjoyed them. If I had purchased this one first I may not have purchased the others. This one has none of the bells and whistles that the later two have that make them fun. But, of course, since this was earlier, it was probably very good for its time. I hope they come out with the winter sequel. I would look forward to it, but as of now there doesn't seem to be a lot of hope.
I recommend this game!
