Continuous development of towers is awesome. One drawback is once you level a tower, taking into the next map locks its development path. Path should be able to change since you still have to pay for each level anyways.
Other than that, awesome game!
I recommend this game!

Too difficult starting off. There are very few repeatable strategies that work. The towers have to be placed and leveled in a specific order to ensure your survival thus eliminating creativity and tower development.
Survival mode is the only redeeming feature in the game. Progressively gets more difficult and allows you to freely place and level your towers.
All My Gods
Lead Saturn's son to the top of the Pantheon and help him become a mighty god in All My Gods! Use divine powers to change the life of Romans!

Linear gameplay, few options for customization. Fun for awhile.
