I've never seen game mechanics like those seen in Battle Slots. Build your character up like traditional RPGs, unlock quests, but items and helpers, and improve your chances in slots.
This game is not just based on chance, nor is it a traditional slot machine or RPG. It combines both genres.
A shame it is not a new genre, because I want more games like this one.
This is more of a card matching game than a solitaire game, although it retains some basic features. But that's fine.
The music, graphics, and interface are all fine.
The only drawback is the storyline which is too spicy to hand-off to kids. Wish there was a way to disable it.
Ultimately I could not stop playing this game, and I guess that's the bottom line. It was making me addicted. It's not Fairway Solitaire (which is the standard for solitaire variants), nor is it a just a card game with a cool deck, but this quick action card game really gets the job done!
I recommend this game!

Strange Cases: The Tarot Card Mystery
FBI Agent Claire Ellery must follow the tarot cards left by an anonymous source to solve this sinister and bizarre case.
Although it's not a tarot card game (which is what initially attracted me to it), the theme of the tarot is somewhat prevalent. You have to first find a tarot card before you can find your standard hidden objects.
The graphics are neat, and (or is it "but") some of the objects are very hard to find. There doesn't seem to be a penalty for clicking a lot, though.
One slight control issue I had is that when you find ANOTHER tarot card to find more objects, your mouse click won't work on the previous tarot card's requested objects. So be sure to select which card's objects you are seeking.
The puzzles remind me of old Apple II games (not a complaint).
Areas can get locked and unlocked, as the story progresses, although sometimes it's hard to know where to go.
Overall, if you can't get enough of Hidden Object games, this one will keep you entertained while you play it.
If you're used to playing free flash tower defense games online, you will be pleasantly surprised by Toy Defense 2. The graphics are much better than free games online. The challenge is great, plenty of upgrades, and more importantly you can save troops who get experience.
This is a wonderful game, worthy of 5 stars here on Big Fish Games.
Granted, there are hardly any instructions or tutorials, so if you are used to Hidden Object or Word Games this may be too advanced for you to figure out on your own. However, if you do you will be rewarded with hours and hours of enjoyment.
If you want more Plants vs Zombies, this is it. The feel isn't exactly the same when you first start, so you may not realize it if you download the 1-hour trial, but it is very addicting and very fun. Obviously nothing could beat PvZ, but this is a very deep, challenging, and long game, and is a great attempt.
The bottom line is that there are tons of levels, robots, enemies, upgrades, mini-games, and enhancements to unlock. The money system is balanced and paced well to keep you going.
The programmers really outdid themselves for a first try, and they actually included Chapter 2 in this very game. The "sequel" is a direct continuation with more levels, enhancements, and enemies.
Mini Robot Wars is a hidden gem of a game and should be promoted on Page 1 of this site because it could sell like hot cakes since it is a Plants vs Zombies alternative (the only true one I've come across- tower defense games are not like PvZ).
The storyline is excellent, some of the stage themes are great, the mini-games are original, and this is not a cheap clone of PvZ- it holds up on its own merits.
Some of the robots reminded me of characters from MEGA MAN. So if you like MEGA MAN or Plants vs Zombies, get this game.
A few heads up:
-The enemies run a lot faster on the rows than PvZ. -You can't generate energy from the sun, so build plenty of generators. - Make sure each row is covered with defense ASAP. - Use weapons that can cross rows. - Beware that energy and money drop quickly and you need to click on them ASAP. - Beware that many minigames and levels require you to click fast and move the mouse- they are more engaging than PvZ.
What a fantastic restaurant simulation game. Very challenging and realistic. Different types of ethnic restaurants are available. One of my favorite games. Combines business management and cooking. Amazing programming.
Likes: - Graphics, sound A+ - Character personalities - Role playing game aspects - Addictive - Great training modes and help menus - Never thought I would go ga-ga over a poker game (I was unimpressed with the Poker Superstars series) but this GAME IS THE BOMB. I can't really explain why, but it truly is in a CLASS BY ITSELF with the Old West motif and the "realism" of earning money and property by winning tough games.
*This is truly one of those 'HALL OF FAME' perfect casual games!*
Caution: - Don't expect to just start playing poker games- this is a deep game which features your character traveling and earning money to play poker games. - Expect to be frustrated when you lose all of your money.
Like: - Fantastic animations of the WHAMMYS!!! - Perfect port of one of my favorite 1980s gameshows - Very simple instructions. - Customizable characters and motivation to keep playing to unlock stuff. - Very cool and professional video game for a cheap price.
Caution: - Most of the questions (that I've seen so far) seem to be about American TV shows and movies. - There is no penalty for a wrong answer, so you might as well attempt to answer all of them and rack up your spins.
