I hated everything about this game, and I absolutely regret buying it. The music was repetitive and awful, the HOPs were unbearable (thank the stars for the match-3 option or I would never have finished the game). The minigames were just terrible, often with a lack of clear instruction. I finished it out of pure spite, and would honestly like my time back that I wasted on this awful game.
A strange and deadly pollen is spreading around the world, and you've been hired to track down its source. But the secrets you discover in the fabled kingdom of Floralia are much darker than you imagined...

I have played many other Dark Parables games, and other offerings from Blue Tea. I found this game to be dry, short, boring, and repetitive. I hope you enjoy the first puzzle or two because you'll be playing them over. And Over. And Over. I found the voices to be grating, and the whole game to be simply aggravating. It is the worst game I have played from this series, and I absolutely regret playing it.

I have played and loved every other game in the Surface series... but for some reason, this one bored the pants off of me. It felt tedious and ridiculous, and I really didn't feel like there was any fun in it.
I couldn't get into the storyline, and all of the characters felt like total idiots to me.
It killed me to put this one to bed early, but I just couldn't muster up enough care to force myself through.

I play a lot of different HOG and puzzle games, so I don't really lean one way or the other on that issue- that aside, this game had FAR more issues!
The art was ok, the voiceovers, ok, music...ok.... Nothing was a standout. The puzzles were very irritating, as there was often not enough instruction given to allow you to actually solve them. Once I would complete a puzzle, I would often end up having to pointlessly shift pieces around until the game decided it was solved enough. More often I would end up having to skip the puzzle out of irritation-- and that is not something I do very often in games!
Every time I stopped playing, it would be because of flat out irritation with the game. I could not finish the game. I decided to finally stop torturing myself.
Everyone is frightened by the sights and sounds of something large stumbling through the darkness. Can you solve the mystery before the monster adds another chapter to this legend?
First off, yes... there is a lot of dialogue. However, that dialogue really does yield some important information that will ultimately help you to finish the game. You are also allowed to make bad decisions and potentially die in-game...so save!
I loved the characters, and really felt like I got to know them through the dialogue and interactions. There are two ongoing mini (board) games that are thoroughly enjoyable. I still log into the game just to play them almost a year after first playing the game.
The floor plan did take me a little bit to figure out as it is sometimes awkward to move, but once you learn the layout it is much easier.
This game really sucked me in, and remains one of my favorites. I'm definitely a fan!
I went into this game very skeptically... and was surprised to very very much enjoy it! I wasn't aware that this is really a pt. 1, and that pt. 2 is not yet out. That was a little frustrating, but I'm definitely waiting for it, now! The opening music by The Scarlet Furies is excellent, as well- very catchy.
The game play is fairly simple- the only part I had an issue with was the map. The dialogue is pithy, and there are some challenging games.
This game was definitely much more than I had anticipated.
I recommend this game!

This is one of those games that I see come up in my game list and I have to really think back to remember if I have played it. It did not make much of an impression with the story line, graphics, audio or puzzles. Great choice to get you by 'in-between games', but nothing that will really grab you.
A lovely game to blow some time, but definitely not intense enough to get you really involved. Simple puzzles, simple mini games. Annoying music. There are some glitches in the HOS, so be aware!
