Usually, I'd do a good, ok and bad parts of the game assessment, but there was absolutely NOTHING good about this game.
Graphics were terrible. Incredibly annoying sounds. You had virtually no playing time. It would just go around and around the table untill it was your turn, where you had 1 move. Then it repeated the cycle over and over untill I couldn't stand it anymore.
You're much better off playing Poker Superstars. This game is absolutely terrible. I played only 3 minutes of the demo.
I enjoyed this game but much prefer Go Go Gourmet 2: Chef of the Year
Good Parts: A great mix of time management and hidden objects Upgrading the broken down resturaunt Great fun factor A really good challenge, taking on new orders while trying to finish existing ones.
OK Parts: While there was a cookbook, it did not tell you how to actually cook the meal in real lie, rather how to cook it in the game.
Bad Parts: The graphics were very bad. Every time new ingredients were added, they all shuffled around. It took me quite a while to find them, unlike Go Go Gourmet 2, which they stayed the same.
I quite enjoyed this game, but it lacks the fun that the sequel brings.
I wasn't too sure about this game, but when I tried it, it was really good!
Good Parts: Easy to find Hidden Objects Incredibly fast hint recharge. It was like I never used it Great Puzzles. The game in general was quite fun. No shortage of Hidden Object Scenes
OK Parts: They had the right idea with the storyline. It would've been much better had there been some voice overs.
Bad Parts: Graphics were not very good. It didn't feel like I was playng a 2012 game. No variety in the game. It basically just went like this: Scene, Puzzle, Scene, Interview, Scene, Puzzle, Scene. Had there been a little more variety, or even a little bit more moving around, the game would've been better.
I really enjoyed this game. Had there been better graphics, a slightly better storyline or more variety, I would've given it a 5. I'm quite sure you'll love it!
This game sunned me because it was so good. I loved everything.
Good Parts: Captivating Storylne- rescue your bride to be after she is taken by one of the faceless. Stunning graphics. These graphics are probably the best I've ever seen. They're extremely detailed and compliment the concept of the game. Amazing cutscenes. It felt like I was watching a thrilling drama more than playing a game.. Grea Hidden Object Scenes- there were a mixture of easy and challenging objects and I liked how at least one of the objects was in a group (butterfly x3 etc.)
OK Parts: Like I say with virtually all Hidden Object Games, the puzzles. Some of them were a great challenge, but some were overly frustratng.
Bad Parts: Hint and Skip recharge, at 60 seconds. This is a shame really, because it puts a bad mark on a great game.
That was the one and only flaw I could find with this brilliant game. I won't hsitate to buy it and definitely recomend it.

While this game was better than Build A Lot 4: Power Source, it certanley was not great.
Good Parts: Option of tutorials or main campaign. Once again, the game has good graphics. Starting from Build A Lot 3: Passport to Europe, they improved the graphics dramatically, and this game was no exception.
OK Parts: Some goals were easy, yet some were really hard. I finished the goals on 2 levels with seconds to spare. Made me think the game needs a re-design.
Bad Parts: Again, on the goals, some of them would set me back 50k, which would really stop my progress of level completion. The game was not very fun. The majority of the Build A Lot games keep me coming back, but this one did not. For a so called "On Vacation" my stress levels were not on vacation at any point during the game.
Overall, this game was realy stressing and not very fun, which is a shame, because it puts a bad mark on a great series of games. Skip this and go directly to Build a lot: Fairy Tales

Good Parts: The ancient english setting has a unique twist on the game. This really paid off. Good Graphics. It really felt like I was playing a modern day game. Goals- Unlike Build a lot 4: Power Source the majority of the goals were really easy, which I loved. (I'm the sort to give up after the first try#
OK Parts: Adding farmers was a good move but at random points of the game, they became sick and it costs money #5,000# to heal them. Sometimes I was really short for cash and this was impossible.
Bad Parts: The Old English language seemed to annoy me. I felt it wasn't needed and made the game frustrating. I feel the game focused a little too much on the "England 1900s" theme. With its language and farms etc. Achieving happiness #or appeal) uinlike the other games seemed to be quite a challenge. While it helped that upgrading a house improved the happiness rating, it still took me quite a while to achieve.
Overall, this game will provide a good challenge for new and experinced players of the series, and I guarentee you'll really enjoy it!

For some reason, this one just didn't appeal to me.
Good Parts: Blueprints have been automatically added so there's no need to waste money buying them. Technicians have been added for the power generators. I thought this new thing worked for the game. Great graphics. The new design of the game means great fraphics, something I've been waiting for. Casual Mode- I must admit, I never tried casual mode in the other games, but when I did, it was absolutely awesome. Pretty much everything is unlocked so there's no need to play the campaign. Awards added a great feel to the game.
OK Parts: Power saving homes. I felt this added to the fun of the game, but sometimes this would have no effect on my power usage and would be a waste of time.
Bad Parts: The entire power thing. I never had to worry about this in other games, and it really made the goals hard. Everything would always exceed my power limit so I had to waste so much time making energy saving homes. On top of that things that gave me more power had a negative effect on the neighbourhood, which drove down appeal on all the neighbouring houses as well, sometimes sending my appeal down by 30. The classic feel of the game was gone. Never hooked me. Not even once.
Overall, this game was flat. It's a shame really, because this is such a great series.

This game is absolutely brilliant, even better than Build a lot 2, which, up to now, was my favourite Build a lot game.
Good Parts: Finally, finally, the developers have listened! They've improved the game's graphics dramatically and it has paid off! It really felt like I was playing a modern-day game. Once again, this game has a storyline. You travel all over europe building and restoring homes. One of the new features of this game was Restoring run-down houses which had a negative appeal on the neighbourhood. This really added fun and excitement to the game.
OK Parts: Fire department. This was another new feature in the game, which I thought was fun, untill I found out it cost $5,000 to call them!
Bad Parts: In the first level of Portugal, I was completely ovewhelmed. The impossible goals, added by building a workshop, which added negative appeal to the neighbourhood, and topped off by never having enough money or materials. Smoke damage and repairs would always appear in the wrong places and I was forced to restart this level quite a few times.
Apart from the one flaw, you'll never find anything bad about this game. It's great for lovers of the series, or new players.

What's not to love aout this game? Everything about it is simply amazing. Here are my thoughts:
Good Parts: For once, this game had a storyline. You play through the towns, rate them, and then vote for the best town at the end. Extremly fun. This hooked me right from the start and I had to buy! Once again, the goals are great. Some are easy and although some were REALLY hard, this added to the excitement of the game. The new features of the game made it even more fun to play.
Bad Parts: Once again, the graphics are under-par. The developers need to take along look at this game and really improve the graphics, so the next one doesn't feel like a game from the 1990s.
Apart frm that one minor annoyance, I'm pretty sure you'll love everything about this game as I did.

This was just an all round good game, if I could, I'd give it 4.5, but I'll have to settle for a 4. Here are my thoughts:
Good Parts: Made you feel like a real builder. The game in general was really fun Goals- some were incredibly challenging and some were easy. Letters. Most of them gave you cash bonuses which really helped me in the levels I needed a cash goal.
OK Parts: As with all these games, the graphics weren't great. It kind of felt like I was playing a game from 2001.
Bad Parts: Some of the goals required you to buy more lots/houses. This really dragged on the game as this took a certain amount of time. Material usage. The amount of materials it cost to build some homes was ridiculous. I found myself constantly having to buy more. Lack and cost of workers. Up untill Level 6 or 7, untill you build a workshop, training another worker cost $50,000. This really annoyed me as most of the time, the buildings needed 2 or 3 workers, and then the goal needed me to upgrade, so I would have a lack of workers, which really lost time, and on occasions, levels.
If you love the Build-a-lot series, you can't look past this. With so many features you'll find only in this game, it's a must have.
