This game was unique in the way it was designed, you have a lot of different items your customers want and they request them in any random order, that is where the challenge comes in because you have to serve certain ones first and you have to always have an available waiting chair or the customer will walk out. You get to choose from 3 different locations for Holly's wedding and decorate it I love that part, you also match differences on jewelry requested by the customers as well as any bridal gifts they choose there are mini games, upgrades for the shop and for Holly -the sales chick and the only chick serving customers- which depend on your scores all while keeping their hearts up which is normal in any TM game. There are several locations to open up so the length of game play is descent and levels can be replayed to better your scores. It was fun but their wasn't a slow increase in levels it became busy before the first level was completed, you definately have to keep up right off the bat! I only played the trial version but this is definately a future purchase cause of the story and other store items and planning, etc. Plus I love weddings... :)
This is a unique HO game to solve mystery riddles..This had more of a kid feel to it not like most HO games.. I really liked the concept of this game because the objects you have to find are the riddles themselves, the graphics were top notch, the narrative voice is too cute, it's very clever and perfect for young thriving minds!!
This would definately be a game for the family or for two players it would have been more fun and engaging for me if I had played it with another person. This would definately be a great starter game for beginners in learing HO games, I would definately buy this game and check out the rest of the series.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game but I am considering it to be stressful fun, due to having such a hard time with the placement and seating of guests. It was confusing for me as to where to seat them after they choose a table and specified who surrounds them. I must have played one level like 5 times before I finally reached the goal to be able to move forward.. It's not clear to me what else I was doing wrong other than the seating, with scores and bonuses, clues and such flashing so quickly it was hard for me to catch them and with all the other stuff going on like pictures and crisis bubbles appearing left me to wonder if I got them quick enough with the guests getting mad, the bride and groom getting mad, it was stressful..I noticed the bride on the last game before I finally reached the goal and she was fuming mad-LOL! The idea of Cupid is cute but to make him weak, fragile and clumsy I don't picture cupid that way. You can't plan anymore weddings until you reach the goal and the bride and groom are HAPPY!! This makes the replay ability nice for the ones who don't get what they are doing. As I continued to play it I got better but I am still wondering what happened.. Proceed with caution.
This game was fun, it wasn't super fast paced and it wasn't frustrating or super challenging. It had some cool features, like building a home for the manager, the star rank and statistics scroll was bland and generic looking, the sound was kind of bump sorta hop beat, and the graphics were OK! I did find when playing the trial version that around the 12th or 18th day of business I found a system that made things abit easier, I was able to put a new glass for refill as I took the full one and to put the items with longer processing times first before items with shorter processing times, etc. Having the ability to set a cake down somewhere helped to. It seems their was a 1/2 second allowance to do this as well, but remembering to do these things is the key, with of course TIME!!) Things were much easier once I had that down. I would recommend this game as a sort of starter intro into time management games, because it wasn't as fast paced as a lot of these game types are. I have played several restaurant time managment games and I was able to at least get a process down off this one. I would start with this game and then continue progress with the rest of the series..Which cake shop 3 is the bomb !!!!!
I liked this game, it was FUN, FAST, FRUSTRATING and definately challenging for me. I played the trial version and by the time I got to Italy I was a mess, making customers angry, getting walk outs, etc.. LOL!! I liked it because the customers want more than just their order, you get to build a chain of cake shops and you get to renovate them as well, (which I thought was a nice touch added into this time management game). It's alot like burger shop 2, which was fun and intense but I really like the design layout on this better than the layout of burger shop2, both games are totally awesome and MUST HAVE's but it seems to me that this is more modern and the other is more robotic. I play time management restaurant games when I am up for an intense challenge and this game definately offers that. Although it is still very different from burger shop 2, so having both of them offers variety. For me, I think!! TRY IT OUT!!
This is a match 3, part HO, and Puzzle.. You have to match the ingredients to cook the orders, while keeping an eye on your customers moods, and serving as many orders "fast" as you can. Some customers come back looking for things they lost, while others are having a "celebration or party" you have to find their lost items and serve the large parties their food and in order to do so you have to cook all the food simultaneously or the food won't cook. It's actually a pretty cool game. The music keeps in tune with what's going on. It has an interesting story line, but I only played the trial so I have no clue how things turn out. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes variety.
I am not a big fan of HO games, but this games scenery drew me in, after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try.. For me, I was a bit lost in the beginning, but as I continued to play I started getting the hang of it without using the guide. I actually enjoyed it, I was pleased because I dislike games that I have to find every wing in the trees and x amount of wood chips and such.. It is refreshing to play a game that isn't all about being horrid and spooky. The artwork on this game is incredible, very breath taking.. I will definitely purchase this game because I want to save Fiona and finish the rest of the story. This game has a huge file, so plan on taking a coffee break while it downloads.
This game is great!!! It really has you doing all kinds of tasks, it had me a little dizzy their for awhile due to sooo much going on. I like the story as well as the interesting customer profiles. I think this game is very well structured, has descent music, I really like this game... It helps with hand, eye coordination skills. I will definitely be placing this on my buy list.. WOW this was a pretty intense game for me....
