There were some good moments, but I just couldn't get into this one. The graphics were good, the puzzles challenging and different, and some decent twists. The word puzzles in particular were a lot of fun. However, I didn't get pulled into the game and Madame Fate's comments got to be repetitious and irritating. I'm going to recommend the game, but with reservations.

Classic HO adventure. Well-drawn graphics, HO scenes just the right level of difficulty; not too easy, not too hard. Same with the puzzles. The music was well done too, and the Professor's wisecracks were the frosting on the cake.
Overall, lots of light-hearted fun and a pleasant way to pass a few hours.

The beginnings of the game set a very good mood, but further along things got a lilttle cliche'd. Not bad, mind you, but I didn't think the midgame was as much fun as the beginnning. The endgame could have been extended, with a bit more searching and puzzles. It just semed too simple.
Overall, however, a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

One of the best HOG adventures so far. Enjoyable story line, with some fun plot twists. The live-action cut scenes were a pleasure. The characters were a hoot, the dialog believable in the game's context. The puzzles ranged from fairly easy to quite difficult, a good balance of simple and challenging. Some only took a couple of minutes, one or two were frustrating but still enjoyable. I have to admit to using "skip" a couple of times. The objectives were clear and, while the hints were maybe a bit TOO clear, they didn't detract significantly. You don't have to use them if you don't want to. Visually, this game was definitely a cut above. Very "atmospheric," a moody, spooky setting. The HO scenes and objects fit their locations better than in most games. The sound quality was good, the music well selected and the sound effects appropriate. The only problem was that a couple of times they were too repetitive; the loops could have been longer, or more varied. One character's comments near the end became particularly irritating. Overall, a real winner.
