I debated whether to give a 4 or 5 star rating, since I have played them all, but thought this one lacked slightly in comparison.
As to the complaint/review with 3 stars entitled "Bugs bugs bugs", well I only encountered two. I had one level I had to replay once because a building just never finished building on the first try. The second bug was with the CE bonus level 1A which was a shooting minigame that just exited immediately to the map... If people are going to complain about bugs, at least have the decency to state what those are. I think "Bugs bugs bugs" paints a bad picture of this game, because it was 2 minor bugs for me, which did not spoil my enjoyment.
So, I do recommend this game for all lovers of the Golden Rails series.
This is almost identical to Fables of Dwarf's. Both are tedious and offer little challenge.
I wish I had waited until I could get this game as a BOGO freebie. Fables of Dwarf's is over 10 years old, and this "new" game has the same poor graphics that were poor 10 years ago.
It's not the greatest series, but I own them all, and although they are not very challenging, they are great when watching TV... I've even replayed some of them.
Someone rated this a 1 because they could not install it. I had the same problem with it stuck in Processing in my game library. I contacted technical support and the problem was resolved. I very much dislike people who rate a game as a 1 when they never played it! This is for reviews, not whining
I am glad I played the trial (up to level 14 and still had time left on the trial, but was too bored). I have played all the Rescue Team games (and similar) and loved them, but this was boring and simplistic.
If your level timer runs out, you have to replay the level, or pay gold coins to continue, which would otherwise be used for powerups.
I feel like this game is more suited for a smartphone and not a PC.

I don't think it merits a 5, but it is quite good, and I do not regret buying it. If you liked the previous games in the series, you'll like this one.
I almost did not buy it because the first two ratings were a 1 and 2, but I realized the people that created those reviews stated they would sit and click on the same thing for 10 minutes! Sounds like they are novices who have never played these games before, because some things have to be done in order, and I found it was very clear what was needed and what had to be done. I never felt compelled to click repeatedly on an object that did nothing.
I hope my review helps. I have played past level 13 with no issues and do not expect any. The other reviewers did not even have the decency to tell us what level they had a problem with... but I'm sure the problem was between the chair and the mouse.

I thought it would be the same as the others, but was a refreshing change... This time there was no lots to choose what to build on (I did get a bit tired of all of those being so similar - tree, candy, gold), but there was still plenty to build, and it was more of a choice of what to build first.
But Alas! I did not feel the level of challenge was very high, but I did enjoy it more than the others, so I gave it a 5 (which I do not do often)...
Ignore someone's 1 rating... they seemed to be on a rant about nothing, and it's not really related to this game.

I am really appalled that people would actually rate this as a 5 (or have the gall to call themselves "expert"). Obviously, they are newbies and thought they were giving it a 5 out of 10.
It is boring. There is no thought required. The developer has released good games worthy of 4 or 5 (and I have gladly bought them), but this is certainly not one of them.
I regret not playing the trial before purchasing this game. It was money wasted.
Essentially, collect all the resources you can, build each building as it comes available; even waiting to upgrade a building is tedious.
I would not call this a "time management" game... it is a "collect resources" game.

Not as great as some of the early Gnomes Gardens, so I gave it a 4 instead of 5.
The only glitch was level 33, when I could not upgrade the worker house from 2 to 3 workers but could still finish the level... it was fine when I replayed it.
Ignore the review stating there is a problem with a missing object on level 25. It is there and it took me a good 10 minutes of searching to finally locate it, then it seemed obvious.
Richard Stone finds traces of an unknown civilization when investigating disappearance of the chief engineer. The find will lead Richard to the most amazing adventure of his life.

The game is not bad if you are 6-8 yrs old. For an adult, very boring. Just find an object, go use it, play some minigame, and repeat. Even the minigames are boring and simplistic, and nothing unique from other games. Glad I did not have to pay for it.
I would have given this game a 5 (and I rarely give 5's)... until on Bonus level 14, I used a money booster. It took my booster, but there was no way to return to the game. Second try it did work.
Normally a glitch wouldn't bother me, but perhaps I am getting very critical lately, since more and more BF game releases have bugs.
I hope people stop reporting mouse control problems as a 1-rating. Go into Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options and adjust the precision.
