TM games are my favorite, and I have all of the Delicious games and their spinoffs, but this one has the most interesting story of any of them. It took about 12 hours, but I completed the game in one sitting, which is something I rarely do.
Yes, it's a bit wordy, but you can always just skip the scenes (though I recommend you don't). I like the way the game alternates between the team of archeologists in the present day and ancient China. It was fun to learn a little bit about the different artefacts you unearth along the way.
Even the ending of the story, while unnecessarily melodramatic, was fun.
The gameplay isn't too hard - except for a few of the minigames - and because the story juxtaposes the past and the present, you're not in one location for so long you get bored. (Except the dig sites, sometimes you can be in one of those for a while.)
As has been mentioned, there are some glitches in the game that need to be fixed - in some scenes the pause button doesn't work and you have to force quit the game to get out being the most annoying one.
I hope they do more of these with different dig sites uncovering different characters and mysteries from the past because it's a refreshing change from the standard TM format.
