Review based on demo only. M3 play is fun, easy as far as the demo goes, but you need to not be a real slowpoke, even in casual mode, must clear the board in a timely manner in order to get all 3 stars. I like that, having to pay attention and work a little bit for my stars once I got past the first few levels. I hope it gets more challenging, as a good M3 game should, as I get further on.
Building the city was also fun but I wish we could rotate our buildings in four directions instead of just two which limits design of streets. As another reviewer mentioned, building is done in the same way as in the Garden M3 series of games. I'm liking the change of scenery, creating a city instead. The Garden M3 play had grown far too easy and predictable for me to enjoy anymore and I was bored with planting gardens so didn't even finish the last one I bought. I'm going to take a chance on this one with a coupon, hoping it keeps me entertained right to the end.
I recommend this game!

Played and reviewed the demo for the CE version when it came out and couldn't see any reason not to wait for the standard version which I purchased yesterday. I just took another look at BF's game description for the CE and there's definitely no mention of the 2nd park story/scenes being available only in the CE version. If I'd have known that, I'd have bought it instead of waiting for this one.
Park Ranger 9 is all you've come to expect based on previous games in the series -- a very wholesome, family game -- well-designed, not-too-easy-to-find hidden objects in beautiful scenery. Educational, too! I'm not a fan of the mini games between scenes, find them boring and repetitive, the same in every game in the series except for the picture/background. But I do find the excellent HOS well worth the purchase and play.
If you're also a fan of this series, I suggest you purchase the CE version instead -- two parks, double the amount of play according to other reviewers here, so well worth paying the extra for.
I recommend this game!

I played the demo through in advanced mode -- the numbers at side and top aren't automatically crossed off until you fill in all the coloured squares in the row. That's the only choice other than casual mode. I found all the puzzles in the demo to be too easy but these games normally get more challenging as you progress. If this one does, advanced mode would likely become very challenging indeed.
If you're really craving a new nonogram puzzle game, this one has great colours and crisp graphics, easy-on-the-eyes puzzles and should appeal to the penguin puzzle fans.
I recommend this game!

I already own 3 or 4 Lauraville games and a couple of Spellariums. There's so little newish here, so much exactly the same as the Lauraville game that I just recently replayed, that I see no reason for me to purchase another that's so alike. M3 play (bonuses, obstacles, etc) and the minigames between are basically exactly the same.
If you're a fan of Match-3 games and not familiar with either series, I highly recommend you give the demo a try. Fun play with a nice yet still relaxing level of challenge.
I recommend this game!

Purchased based on playing the demo but am having a hard time finishing (almost there!) because I've become too bored. I always play a new M3 in casual mode the first time but there's no choice here -- it's all zen/casual, no challenge. I get a shiny gold trophy after every level -- even when I played poorly on purpose, took lots of time to finish, I still got that glowing trophy. Sometimes it does take a while to finish a board if you want to call that "challenge" but I just ended up bored, impatient to get it over with. I'm struggling to make myself finish.
Graphics are nice, gameplay is nice and smooth. Bonus weapons aren't explained fully at all, availability to use in particular -- you'll need to work that out for yourself. If a relaxing M3 game is all you want, this one should satisfy so I recommend you give it a try.
I recommend this game!

It's all we expect from this popular series -- beautiful scenery with wildlife sound effects to enjoy, not-too-easy-to-find hidden object scenes with the usual recyclables and wildlife extras to find, very wholesome and family friendly, educational, minigames/puzzles between HO scenes. I always look forward to the next release.
That said, I'm going to wait for the standard version's release before I buy, see no reason to pay extra for so little (the reason I deducted a rating star). I don't think anybody cares about wallpapers; the "music player" addition is a mystery to me (in options, you can choose music on or off as always but nothing else there music-wise to select and I didn't see anything elsewhere). Based on playing the demo through, the minigames and puzzles are exactly the same as in previous games other than swapping out the pictures/words with new ones. I'm rather tired of the same-old same-old so I often just play until the Skip button shows up and then move on to the next HO scene. There are 'photo signposts' in some of the HO scenes which is new -- click on them to take a photo of the scene for your album -- definitely not worth buying the CE version for.
I recommend this game!

Very boring, straight hidden object game. No bonus items to find, no minigames to break the monotony (at least not in the 50 min. of the demo I lasted through) and the music soon becomes very annoying. It was difficult for me to figure out what some of the sillouetted items were and when using the zoom-in feature, the graphics became blurry.
I don't recommend this game.

Finally! A challenging M3 - and with the choice of relaxed, timed or limited moves mode. I had plenty of fun playing the demo, found it to be of the same high quality as the two Imperial Island games I purchased a few years ago + enough new (bonuses and how to use them in particular) to keep me well entertained. Large game boards, clear graphics, fast & smooth play. Here's hoping the fun and challenge continue to the end of the game (I muchly regret the high rating, based on the demo, I gave the last M3 game I reviewed).
I suggest starting off in relaxed mode because the tutorial is way behind in telling you how to use the bonuses you create -- and you need them to earn those 3 stars. For instance, it took me until the 3rd level to figure out I needed to include the coloured arrows and bombs in a same-coloured match to get them to work. The tutorial didn't tell me that until level 4 or 5 which would've been really frustrating if I were playing timed or moves. Perhaps that's common knowledge for many other M3 players but it wasn't for me. As for those 3 stars per level -- I love a good M3 game and get bored long before the end if there's no real challenge. And in my book, there's no real challenge if I can earn all 3 the 1st time I play almost all the levels. I play a game the first time just for fun (relaxed mode, can't 'lose') and if I love it, I'll play it again with earning all those stars as my main goal. And if I really, really love it, then I gotta play it yet again, in timed mode :-) Boy, am I hoping this is one of those...
I recommend this game!

I just purchased after playing the demo. I find this one more challenging and fun than the other series we're used to.
One star taken off for sometimes being confused/making a mistake due to too-similar colour issues as mentioned in other reviews. And you'll need to put those reading glasses on for some of the levels -- the 'extra' squares (30 x 30) means smaller numbers and squares.
Looking forward to more of the little bonus games -- the Battleship one in the demo was fun.
I recommend this game!
