The storyline kept making want to see the ending. At first the puzzles were easy like the first game (Royal House of Stone), but once you progressed to the castle they got a little more challenging. All in all it was fun and with the bonus of the Collector’s Edition I think I completed it in about 3hrs 30mins which is a much better length then the first game of the series.
The artwork was good, but it lost a point visually for the Hidden Object Scenes. Granted the first game had a grainy resolution for the Hidden Object Scenes and so did this one, but what made the difference was the spacing of the objects in this game. It made it a little easier on the eyes, but it was still hard to stare at it for awhile (hurts the eyes when it is blurry looking like that). This made the difference between it being Good rather than OK (which I gave for Royal House of Stone's Visual Quality).
There was voice acting again in this game which was done well. Although, you could tell that the actors were trying really hard to make an accent for the character speaking that was not their natural accent. It did not bother me too much to affect the rating.
I do recommend this game because it is the back story for the next Echoes of the Past game called "The Citadels of Time".
I recommend this game!

The game had a good story to it, but it was rather short. Took me abut 2hrs and 30mins or less to play (had to stop to eat). The Hidden Object Scenes were ok. They were rather grainy and made my eyes sore staring at the screen. I guess it is because it is an older game so the resolution was not as good. The puzzles and games were rather simple to do (i.e. matching pairs, putting in the answer after finding it, shuffling a couple of objects, etc). There was voice acting in the game too. The voice acting was done well. I do recommend this game even though it is easy to play because it is the beginning of the series of the "Echoes of the Past" games.
I recommend this game!

The reason I got this game was actually because another reviewer recommended it from a different game's review page (one of the Love Chronicles games#.
The visual quality for this game was really done well. It was a fun game although it did take me only 2 hours to complete so it was rather a short game #as many other people have already stated). This is why the Level of Challnge was lower out of all the ratings. The storyline was quite amusing and being able to find items to dress up your character was certainly quite different from other games I have played. This was quite the entertaining game and worth the purchase.
I recommend this game!

This is similar to the first game, but even better. They added really challenging puzzles and also Hidden Object Scenes where you did have to find things on lists. They did not make it so easy to tell you what you should do. It made me think about where I should go and what I should do. Like the first game, you also had to do a certain sequence of actions to get a desired result for your main character. I did have to use the Hint button a little bit just to figure out what room I missed finding an important object in it.
I would say it was a longer length then the first game. The storyline did lose one point because it had some typos in the journal entries which should be checked for before releasing a game. Spell check was invented on computers for a reason. :)
Other than that I really liked this game and it was really fun to play. I can't wait for the next game in the series. Hopefully this prince will find true love for himself and help get rid of the evil witch once and for all.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game and thought it was fun to play. It was a different style of a Hidden Object Game. They did not give you a word list to find objects in a scene. Instead you had to find parts to make a bigger object. They gave you a picture of what to look for and the visual drawings were well done so there was no mistaking what you had to look for. You would have to do a certain sequence of actions to get a desired result that you wanted for your main character. What made it rather easy is that they told you what you needed to do at the top of the screen when you did not do what the character wanted to do. The music suited the game and the story made you want to know more about what was going on. It was a good length to play since there were many places to visit and steps to do. Overall I recommend this game. I bought the collectors edition because the drawings were well done and the bonus content was fun to play too.
I recommend this game!

So I got this game, probably like many others, through the purchase special offer of $3.99.
I was attracted to this game because of the quality of graphics and how well the drawings looked, which was a good selling point aside from the special offer.
It was not tremendously fun since the puzzles were rather easy to do. They were really made easy for people that are new to this kind of genre of gaming.
The storyline lacked something and it was as if the developers were trying to play off of another game with a character with a similar sounding name. I will let you guess who. It lacked the excitement and interesting feel that other games have of this genre that I have played.
Since it was so easy to play it was rather short to play too. It took me about an hour or so to play it since I got bored and went to do other things around the house at the same time.
I was rather disappointed at some of the grammatical errors that I noticed in the game. Like Lara asks, "Who a there?" instead of "Who is there?" Also, there was a weird glitch in the game that gave me several of the Sphinx looking talismans that suddenly appeared when I unlocked the Chemistry room. I got a bit confused as to why I suddenly got 2 more of the same talisman that I just put away in the tower. Then I realized that the game had a glitch in it that still needed to be repaired.
Overall, it was ok. I don't recommend this game if you are familiar with this kind of gaming genre since it would be way too easy to play and the amount of errors in the game takes away from it being fun.
I don't recommend this game.

I liked this better than the first game because I found the puzzles really challenging and I liked the variety of puzzles in this game. You even get to direct a car you are driving through a maze which was really challanging and took me awhile to do. The storyline is not what you expected (from how it starts and what your character perceives, to how it continues on, and finishes). The graphics did loose some points because the HOS were similar to the first game (hard to find teeny tiny pieces in a lower visual quality cluttered scene). Other than that this is a good long game worth playing.
I recommend this game!

I liked the storyline, although in real life I don't think making a deal with a demon like the main character did is good by any means or reason (even if it is to find out what happened to her sister#. First off I was automatically suspicious of this demon when I saw him and I knew was up to no good. That's a gimme, but the twist and extra info about what was really going on near the end was surprising (which I liked). The puzzles were fun, but the HOS was a bit cluttered and sometimes it was hard to see such small things with the quality of graphics the game had. Still, this is a game worth playing.
I recommend this game!

The feel of this game was more of an eerie ghost town rather than horror or really scary. At first I thought the main character was related to the hitch hiker (which was the confusing part), but then I guessed he was not referring to the girl like he knew her. Rather, I think the main character tried to indicate his curiosity as to why the hitch hiker would have the teddy bear from his childhood. I felt like the main character was somewhat lured into a trap because of that teddy bear and his urge to find out about that girl and then help her when he did find out about her. I wonder if the developers are going to make a sequel of this game because it felt like it was left open ended. Hopefully for the next game the developers explain the story a little better and not be as confusing as to why the character became involved in the town "mystery" in the first place. I was just speculating as to the relavance of the teddy bear to the main character and the connection to the ghost town (the game really did not explain that too clearly). Other than that, the visual/sound quality was good and the puzzles were challenging.

I liked this game because the game concept reminded me of Salvador Dali paintings. He is one of my top favourite artists and to see game art with the same dream like like style is quite interesting. Some reviews said it was too childish, but if you look at the game from a view of a child's imagination it would look like the paintings of Salvador Dali. The only thing about this game that was dissapointing was that I found it rather too short in length. I am hoping they make another game following this one, but made longer in length and a little more challenging like the Drawn game series or like Syberia game series...which are both really good series to play btw. ;)
I recommend this game!
