Story: Loreen, a beautiful feisty princess, and Nathaniel, a handsome arrogant prince, are both kidnapped by some bad guy. Now, if you were to put two people in the same dungeon, what will happen.....a lot of arguing. With these two characters, they both must work together to escape this castle and with this adventure comes a lot of climbing, arguing, and.....more kidnapping.
Graphics: With this game having 3-D graphics, the scenes were very bright and clean to complement the humorous story.
Music/Vocal: I thought the music fit well with the games setting and scenes. I have to admit that I loved the voice actor who was narrating the story. He had this sarcastic tone that just fit so well with the story.
Puzzles: I would really call this more of an adventure game because throughout the entire game I think there where at least 4 HOS. Most of the puzzles where easy to me but some I was stumped from.
Length: I finished the game in less than 2 hours which is a shame because I wanted more.
Characters: I think this is the first game where I have like all of the characters, especially the two main characters, Loreen and Nathaniel. They all carried a certain charm that is hard to not like.
Overall: I really did love this game. It had adventure, kidnapping, arguing, a little romance, and a sarcastic narrator. I would recommend this game if you are looking for a game that has a funny story where you can relax and laugh at the adventures of Loreen and Nathaniel.
Happy Gaming :)
I recommend this game!

Story: A prince from a far away kingdom has everything he could dream of but every night he experiences these horrible dreams about a cursed kingdom, an evil witch, a beautiful princess, and a wise man begging for help. With these nightmares haunting him, the prince travels until he comes upon that cursed kingdom. There is only one person awake, an old wise man, and he seeks your help in destroying this curse before it's too late. So, the prince travels throughout the kingdom and waking every person up before this curse claims them all forever.
Graphics: I thought the graphics were very clear and beautiful. I have to admit that I would want to live in that kingdom...well....after the spell was gone obviously.
Music: The music used in this game was nice and really contributed to the beautiful kingdom.
Puzzles/HOS: This game offers two different modes: Regular and Expert so this gives you a choice of how your game plays out. The HOS were a little different than the usual. You look for parts of items that you will use instead of a few random items and items you need. Now, I personally like this option but if you don't, I wouldn't recommend playing this game. There were fewer puzzles then I would have liked and they were mostly on the easier side so I wouldn't recommend this game if you were looking for a challenge. One thing I did like was that the game gave you a magnifying glass so this could benefit for smaller objects that are hard to see even though there are few of those.
Length: Sadly, this game was short, not even getting to 2 hours.
Overall: I really liked the game and it had a classic story but obviously it could have been better. If you are looking for a game where you save a kingdom and isn't too difficult, this is your game.
Happy Gaming :)
I recommend this game!

Graphics: The graphics were nice and clear so you didn't have any trouble. Granted, the graphics aren't the best but they were very simple.
Music: This game had some interesting music but I thought the music really added to the exotic atmosphere of the game.
Puzzles/HOS: The HOS and puzzles were very basic and easy so there isn't much of a challenge here.
Story: An American reporter, Allie, and her photographer/partner, Shaun, are sent on assignment to Aristo to report on the coronation of the prince but things don't go as smoothly as they thought with theft and assassination plots and also the blooming of love.
Overall: This is a nice HOG which is more story based so there isn't much challenge. I would recommend this game if you are looking for a game that you can just sit back and relax. Also one of the benefits of this game is that you get a free book...pretty cool deal.
Happy Gaming :)
I recommend this game!

Graphics: This game had some nice graphics with both creepy and beautiful scenes. It was interesting using real actors as the characters in the cut scenes except that they made it look like they were drawn and they didn't move much, which was a drawback for me. I don't really like the use of real actors as the characters because I think it looks odd against the drawn and 3D graphics.
Music/Vocal: The music and sounds used where both appropriate with each scene. I have to admit that I liked the song at the menu. It really surprised me to hear a song with lyrics and I think the game pulled it off. Another thing I kind of liked was that the game used a lot of voice over material but the drawback was that when this happened, it became a little annoying.
Puzzles/HOS: HOS were pretty good with enough challenge to it and the puzzles where a little on the easier side but the game balanced out.
Length: I finished the game in about 2 hours and 30 minutes which is an okay length. I prefer my HOG to be over 3 hours.
Story: Edwina Margrave really wants to know what happened 15 years ago when her parents died so she ventures to a cottage in the country. When she gets there things are not as they seem and Edwina must go on a mission if she wants to know what happened to her parents.
Overall: The game was mostly just okay to me. I got bored through the middle of it but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good game. Margrave: The Curse of the Severed Heart was a nice game even if it was a little slow to get into the game.
Happy Gaming :)
I don't recommend this game.

Graphics: The third installment of the Awakening series has the same gorgeous graphics and the different atmosphere of the goblin kingdom in the snowy mountains is a nice change from the mystical woods and the royal castle.
Music/Vocals: I really liked the music used in this game. It was very peaceful and fit well with the atmosphere. I also liked the storyteller's voice over for this game. I have to admit that the choice of having only one voice over was creative way to save money and keep the game more simple.
Puzzles/HOS/Game play: The HOS were more interactive and the puzzles have gotten more challenging which really added to the game because the first 2 games were a little less challenging. The game also has the option of Normal or Casual game play. A new addition to the game was the involvement of achievements so this can make you more involved in the game.
Length: I finished the game in 3 hours and 14 minutes so that is a pretty good length for a game.
Characters: One thing I'm glad about in the game was the new guide to the game. Instead of a fairy, you get an owl. You also get to have my favorite character, the pocket dragon. He's so cute :)
Story: The story picks right up where it left off in game two. Sophia must find the goblin king since he is the only one who knows where her people have gone but something very wrong befalls the kingdom and Sophia is the only one to right this wrong. I thought the story to a more in-depth turn so that you will anticipate the next game, which I am.
Overall: I really loved this game. With each new installment of the Awakening series, the games get better and better. I can't wait for the next game <3
Happy Gaming :)
I recommend this game!

Graphics: This game has the same graphics as the first game and the graphics were drawn beautifully and contribute to the fairy-tale atmosphere.
Music/Vocal: The music used in this game was more peaceful and matched the atmosphere of Moonfell Wood and the sound effects also contributed to the mood of the game. I also thought they picked out another good storyteller voice over.
Puzzles/HOS: Compared to the first game, the developers made the HOS more interactive but they were still on the easy side. The puzzles where of the same format as the first game and were also on the easy side. One thing I liked about a few of the mini-games was when they dealt with water because I liked the ripples. Another thing to know is that the game offered the options of Normal and Casual gameplay.
Length: I finished the game a little under 4 hours so the game's length doubled from the last game.
Characters: My favorite character was the little dragon. It was the cutest thing <3
Story: The story starts right off from the first game where Sophia sets off to the Moonfell Wood and travel through it to find out why the humans left their kingdom and where she can find them. Story continues in the way the first game did.
Overall: The game was like the first game except for a few improvements and I enjoyed it.
Happy Gaming :)

Graphics: The graphics are cartoon-based and everything was bright and clear. Every scene was gorgeous and I loved how everything looked like a fairy tale should.
Music/Vocal: This game had very lovely music and the sound effects were appropriate with the mythical atmosphere. I have to admit that I loved the storyteller’s voice because she sounded like a grandmother telling her grandchildren a bed time story.
Puzzles/HOS: The HOS and puzzles were of basic format and a little on the easy side so if you come looking for a challenge, find another game.
Length: I finished the game in a little over 2 hours so I would consider this a shorter game but I've played shorter.
Characters: All of the characters I thought fit well with the story and I really liked the goblins.
Story: You play as a girl who wakes up in a castle filled with only goblins and one fairy and you move around the castle trying to find out who you are and what happened to this empty castle.
Overall: The game is cute and catered to girls (sorry guys...). It's got some beautiful scenes and a lovely atmosphere to go with the simple fairy tale.
Happy Gaming :)

Graphics: The graphics are cartoon-based and they are very clear, bright, and beautiful. I thought it was a very good quality and everything messed well.
Music/Sound: The music and sounds were appropriate with the theme of the game but I have to admit the music can get a little annoying after a while but that may be because of the type of music.
Puzzles/HOS: Both the HOS and puzzles are good but they get repetitive because you go back to that same scene at least 3 times (more like 6 times) so you can see how boring it can get. But there is one scene that I loved and it had to deal with finding 25....PUPPIES! Puppies = awesome cute :) Another thing that was nice is that you have the choice of being timed or untimed so this can affect your game play.
Length: I finished the game in about 3 hours and 30 minutes but the length mostly depends on the player and how many times you want to keep playing.
Characters: The characters are the same from the first game but you can see a little growth.
Story: Grace's parents in Montana buy an antique shop in their hometown and they ask for their daughter and her husband's help in finding antiques in Montana, Wisconsin, and Louisiana. The story resembles the first game so there really isn't anything new.
Overall: The game is nice, just like the first one, but you can get bored with it. I really liked it because it's a nice difference from adventure HOG and you could kind of sit back and just collect antiques for your shop.
Happy Gaming :)

Graphics: The graphics are cartoon-based and are beautiful. I know not many people like this type but sometimes with the right game, the cartoon-based graphics can add to the storyline. I really liked all the different types of atmospheres and colors used with each scene.
Music/Sounds: I thought the music was adequate with each scene but I have to admit the epic music made me feel like I was really fighting vampires. Most of the sound effects were good except during some of the mini-games when some of the sounds were kind of annoying.
Puzzles/HOS: The HOS were very basic, which was a letdown because the game could have been better with more interactive HOS. The puzzles were mostly on the easy side so don't expect too much of a challenge.
Length: I finished the game in about an hour and 45 minutes so this is a game on the short side.
Characters: I felt the characters were a little typical so I wasn't too surprised by anything that they did or said. Also the dialogue wasn't the best.
Story: The story starts off with Ruby's brother going missing and he asks for her help. She goes to Venice and finds that strange things are happening in the wake of her brother's disappearance. She discovers that her brother came upon an ancient item that vampires have wanted for some reason. So Ruby has to rescue her brother and stake some vampires.
Overall: The game really isn't bad, it's just okay. I think it could have had more potential if you made the game more challenging and add more dynamic characters. But this game could be enjoyable if you want something on the lower end of the challenge pool.
Happy Gaming :)
I don't recommend this game.

Graphics: The graphics were beautiful in this game. Everything was very clear and bright. I really loved the effect they did with the mirror mini-game where you could actually see the reflection. Another thing I liked was the video cut scenes because it made you feel more a part of the game, like you were actually Kate, the main character.
Music/Vocal: The music was very beautiful and was also appropriate with each atmosphere. All of the voice overs were well picked and sounded great. I loved the sound effects for the scenes that dealt with the fire.
Puzzles/HOS: I found the puzzles in this game to be a little on the easy side but they were still challenging enough to keep you entertained. The HOS were your typical HOS but I did like it that they had you do a few extra steps to find/acquire your item.
Length: I finished the game in about 3 hours and 30 minutes so the game was a pretty good length.
Characters: All of the characters were very different and they have the potential to grow if this game turns into having sequels.
Story: One of the reasons this game has a 5 star in my book is because of the story. You play as a woman named Kate who is invited to visit the House of 1,000 Doors by one of her ancestors so that you can fix some of the wrongs that happened in your family. You travel through the house and through other different places where you face tragedies and try to make these ancestors have a happy ending (even if they are all dead...).
Overall: I thought this was a wonderful game. It had the intriguing story that kept you wondering what was to happen next and also had nice puzzles and HOS.
I recommend this game!
