I played this game all the way through. I found it a tad boring du ot a serious lack of storyline. I played on relax mode and when I was done I saw there was one badge I had not earned: For Repelling Thief Attacks. Since I never saw any thief's during the whole game I am mystified.
That being said the game was semi enjoyable. It had challenges which I really liked. You had to think about what is your next move in order to successfully complete the level. This was a nice touch and set it aside from other games where you simply clicked as quick a you could to collect resources and complete tasks.
I can only assume if I had played on a timed level I might then have come across thieves. Would be nice if the game explained in the beginning so you can make an informed choice, I still recommend the game for those whom just wan a after work no brain function game to unwind with
I recommend this game!

Incredible! I had so much fun! It is challenging as you really had to put some planning in the mix. The graphics are fun and interesting, The story line is fun and each level is huge! This is no zoom through in 4 hours kind of game.
Nice also if you click to see the credits you zoom in over and you get a heartfelt thanks from the developers. I am looking for the next game developed by them.
Don't miss this one give it trial and see what ya think.
I recommend this game!

I loved this game. The game play is easy and follows along the story line of all the Witches' Legacy games. The graphix are lovely and the story line is enjoyable. Unfortunately I have never been able to finish the game due to some faults inside the game causing the game to be no longer playable. For that reason my over all rating is 1 star. Too bad BF. It was quite disappointing a fix could not be found. I do not recommend this game

I absolutely loved this game! The continuing story from previous game Witches Prison picking up a few weeks from where we left off. The story was fantastical and kept me enchanted like a good book one can't put down. It is quite a long game and the puzzles are many and challenging. Many consisted of unique twists to the old standby adventure game puzzles that made it all the more fun and kept me on my toes. I was never bored in the game ever.
Instead of "collecting" clues and having to read them in the middle of a puzzle, you are given a camera to take pictures of the clues. This happens automatically for you. I found this a nice change. The clues where all very helpful but still many quite challenging to figure out what they meant. My applause for the developers.
There are some humorous events. e.g. click on the qupie doll enough times the character finally says "I'm not taking it home already so quite trying to get me to pick it up." haha Also if you are randomly trying objects in your inventory for a puzzle you get some very funny comments for the wrong ones.
Some not so good things: If you minimize the game, upon reopening it reverts to the pregame menu and loads textures. This takes quite some time and is annoying (at least 30 seconds). In a few instances, the textures did not load and I was left with a white screen with some black outlines. I was able to minimize and reopen and in some cases this fixed the problem but I had to wait again the 30 seconds for the textures to re-populate. Again annoying. In one instance I had to close and restart the game, all the while with that sinking feeling that I would have to restart at the beginning if the game bugged out.Luckily it turned out ok.
There are a few misspellings but hardly noticeable. There was one instance where the game said I was hovering over something which was on the other side of the room which was a bit confusing as I needed to use an object and it kept saying I was somewhere else. Sorry I cannot remember where (in a room in the compound somewhere)
All in all this was by far one of the best and inventive games I have played. If the minimize issue was fixed I would be jumping up and down and submit for best game award.
teaser: It has a cliffhanger ending
I recommend this game!

City of Fools is a unique game. Structured very differently from any other adventure.hidden object game.
There are a few typo's here and there but hardly worth noting. The game is VERY quirky with a, shall we say, "unique" sense of humour. The goal of the game is to get an interview with the mayor and ask some pointed questions about a suggestion of a UFO landing there.
The downfall of the game is, once you acquire a ticket to get to see the mayor, you can head off and the game will end *sort of*. In fact it is difficult to tell that you have actually finished the game. The ending of the game is weak and does leave one wondering if they are indeed finished.
There are 122 tasks you need to complete before you head off to find the mayor whom is hiding on a lone island in the middle of the river.
To complete these tasks you must jump back and forth between various residents, street corners and stores. The in game map will assist you with how to get to where you wish to go provided you remember where it is you need to be. The map does not provide you with details of homes etc, simply with numbers in which you need to keep straight which number is actually the number of the home you need to go to. On the plus side, if you really do not wish to go door to door trying to figure out what you have forgotten, there is an in game help built into the task manager book.
In all I had loads of fun, some frustrations, and once you get past the hilarious if not some what "stinky" humour, you can plan to spend many many hours of fun in this game.
One word of warning, the BF walk through is far from complete. Use this only as a guide and check in the forum for answers to what you are stumped on.
In all it gets a two thumbs up from me. Well worth the buy.
I recommend this game!

This was a fabulous game! Three thumbs up (oops!) You play the sister looking for her brother whom went missing after the death of their father. Each puzzle and HOG were superbly done. Each step was logic and fully entertaining. There were no idol head scratchers and the game flows logically through each scene.
The extra's are a must view including some extra HOG's and a bonus game. Upon finish you absolutely MUST view the credits and read about the team whom created this game. You will smile, laugh out load (or cry) whilst reading haha! The music was fitting, although the voice acting was not the best it didn't matter or affect the game enjoyment.
I recommend this game!

This was a completely different type of game from what I have ever played. You play a young reporter Edgar Lance determined to make his mark in the world. The story was however rather flat and it was difficult to understand what I needed to do next. Items to be "found" were difficult at best due to being so very tiny and often illogical. There is no real help in the game which left me floundering around trying to figure what I need to do next.
There is a lot to be involved in, with little explanation or guidance. I got stumped in many things and the hint button was of absolutely zero help. The final puzzle was absurdly difficult and and had a complete turn around from other puzzles. I felt frustrated watching the clock tick away and I blindly pushed on with zero guidance on what was needed at the end. I did however make it through with a feeling of defiant accomplishment.
In spite of my reservations, I actually am now curious of the further escapades of Edgar Lance
Good luck, bring binoculars, and zanex. I wish you much success.
I don't recommend this game.

I played from start to finish on relaxed mode. The game was fun but very very easy. There is no need for help or the strategy guide ever.In the bonus game I was confused. There was no final ending that I could discern.I completed everything then nada. So I just quit.
Graphic were ok but nothing spectacular
The voice over sometimes were difficult to understand but could be read with the subtitling.
In all I give it a generous three stars but no exhilarating thumbs up must buy.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a fabulous game thus far. ( I am currently on book 3) It consists of 5 "chapters" or "books" in which you can play in relaxed or timed mode. The story line is easy to follow and the interaction if wonderful as you tag along on Jessica's various exploits. I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed mode. The graphics are fairly basic but still enjoyable along with the ever familiar Murder She Wrote theme music. It is not one of those full priced quick play in one hour type of games. A definite plus to add to any game collection. I give 5 stars and recommendation.
I recommend this game!

This is 98% hidden object and 2% weak story. In general the game was ok to play once you get past the numerous spelling errors. It seems obvious the game either was translated from another language other than English or the creators did not write English well and no one did a word edit. Some of the objects actually were written in another language and luckily I can speak multiple languages so I knew what was being asked. (ananas = pineapple) Among the numerous spelling errors were also the confusing words in the list. a T-square was a ruler, Oxyfen cylinder was an oxygen tank, a hard cap was a hard hat, napkins were tissues (kleenex), Each hidden object had to be clicked in one exact spot. I spent much time clicking an object in various places before it would be picked up. Sometimes I thought I could not find it and after hitting hint, low and behold it was an item I had already clicked on but apparently not in the exact spot needed. In spite of all the errors I actually did not mind playing the game. If you are looking for a story then this game is not for you. If you like un-ending hidden object scenes, then this is for you. I give it one star.
I don't recommend this game.
