Long enough and fun enough to be worth buying, even the collector's edition! Especially if you like the lighter titles.
I thought the characters and puzzles were fun, and there were a few challenges that weren't so obvious.
It's one of the type of search games though where you look for pieces of an item that is pictured and broken up at the bottom of your screen. Sometimes I enjoy those, but not always. I usually prefer the more traditional search games where you're looking for listed items instead of fragmented images.
I feel that this game's story relies too heavily on your knowledge of the events of previous games. Doesn't stand alone well here at all. Really makes you feel like you're missing something.
Plus the title is misleading as the hotel isn't haunted (apparently a fact discovered in previous games and reiterated at the beginning of this game)... which to me is disappointing because I like tales of the supernatural.
Seemed pretty short to me as well. Not one of the shortest, but too short to be satisfying, particularly given the lack of standalone storyline.
Good points: - good length - fun mini-games - items you search for a re well identifiable
bad points: - although the art is good enough to find the items, the graphics aren't one of the best - didnt really like the setting and the atmosphere. Others may like it better, but there was something about it that I didn't like. Kind of hard to put my finger on it.

enjoyed the vast majority of the game, but I think I remember there being several times when the next step isn't obvious and you have to go back and visit all the places you've been to see if there's a new search area. I hate having to do that.
Some of the puzzles were more annoying rather than fun and challengeing as well, so I ended up skipping a few.
All in all though I'd say it's a good game and worth it. Also pretty good length-wise.

One of those games that I fell for it... "you have 2 minutes to buy this game for $4!" hehe
Well, it was an ok game, but mostly something I'd just kill time with. It was stiff and stale in my opinion.
Some of the puzzles were rather challenging, but again another game with, naive characters who aren't the brightest. Feels a bit like a Scooby Doo mystery.
Enter the world of Drawn. Explore the Painted Tower and unravel its mysteries on your quest to save the hope of the kingdom. Can you reach the top of the tower?
My initial perception of the game was that it would have a feel like the movies Labyrinth or Return to Oz.
But as you go on you find that is not so. The art is nice in an interesting stylized way but the story definitely geared slightly too much towards a younger crowd for me.
It should also be noted that this game is more of a story puzzle game than a hidden object game. You don't have the jumbled screens in which you have to identify listed items. You just have to go around the game looking for items that you have to use elsewhere.
And this part is just me, but something about the Drawn games felt a bit tedious and boring too. I played a bit of one other one to see if it was different, but definitely the same.
I know many other people love these games and justly so, just thought I'd put this out there for people who might be a bit more like me.
