This game must have come from a last century Time Vault. It is so old school, I felt I was reliving the 1990s - and not just because the story was set in the 1960s era. Games have come a long way from this prototype and we ain't going back, Big Fish Games. Please rescue us from this time warp and bring us back to 2013 adventure products.
A long-forgotten artifact has just resurfaced, and the race to claim it will cause a devastating war. The only thing strong enough to stop it is one woman’s promise to the man she loves.

When I saw the very mixed reaction to this game, I knew out of curiosity I had to check it out to understand why the extreme differences.
The first impression was poor because the trial version kept saying failed installation no matter how many times I tried uninstalling and re-installing and then my trial period was up even though I hadn't yet played the game! I decided to purchase it anyway.
After buying the game, I had no issues playing it. Was this a ploy to get people to purchase it without trying the game?
The experience of playing the game (once I got past the above bad impressions) is that it is wonderful!
At last, fewer of the annoying HOS (which I always click through as fast as I can to get rid of them clogging up most games)! Instead, lots of very enjoyable puzzles with some unique aspects. Even the untying the strings game was great because it had an unusual twist to make it more fun.
Another thing I like is that there are many more puzzles in each location, so, more fun, fun, fun.
Also, the men are GORGEOUS and they are all fine actors with beautiful voices. I wish they came like that in real life. Sigh...
The graphics are exceptional. The music good. I am happy with everything else so far. Now back to playing the game...
When Mystery Trackers developers cast actors, they must run ads that say, "No acting skills required or wanted." Either that or they hire their dumbest relatives. Characters simply wait around or sleep until the player arrives (like they had no other real purpose in life like doing the job they are supposed to have). I know it's a game, but please try to make it a little more real in order to suspend disbelief. Characters have that goofy expression of "I'm really not an actor but know this is stupid so I'm in on the joke." Other than that, the games are entertaining, although a little too easy.
This is a good game and fun to play, however, both the regular game and the bonus game are WAY too short - about half the length of most other games and a third of the length of the longest games. For a CE edition, I feel I didn't get my money's worth.
Applause to the Developers of Calavera: Day of the Dead Collector's Edition. They did a great job by creating a game that is so much fun, funny, unusual, creative, entertaining and inventive. What a refreshing change from the same old, same old. I love the characters and the unique situations. The wiseass developers must have had a lot of fun coming up with all these playful ideas. There is smart humor in every scene. Try it. You will definitely like it. The game leaves you smiling.

Very talented developers. Best graphics on this site. I was blown away by the stunning beauty and various cultures depicted in this game. It is well thought through. The puzzles are fun. The HOPS could be more interactive. By clicking through the dialogue (which is the only slow part of this game and too slowly spoken by the actors who mispoke the word sword) this greatly speeded up the game. This is a wonderful game and I highly recommend it.

I liked this game and do recommend it. Beautiful, mysterious graphics. Quite creatively designed game play and fun. Slow loading, slow graphics and not very helpful hints. Those were the only things preventing me from giving it 5 stars, which it otherwise deserves. Finding the coins was fun and challenging. The visuals look great on my HD screen. Much of the joy I get from these games comes from enjoying beautiful visuals and unique puzzles, which are both found here. A definite YES.

Other developers can learn from this beautiful crafted game - a true art piece. It has stunning graphics, a well done story, the right amount of puzzles vs HOPs. It has unique ideas. It totally captivated me. Playing the game is satisfying and challenging enough yet quite accessible and easily understood. A definite buy! 10 out of 10 for me! Fun and awe inspiring the way good art should be. Kudos to the entire team who made this a work to be proud of.
I used to LOVE the Azada games for their incredible graphics, fabulous puzzles and exciting stories. They were head and shoulders above most Big Fish games. What a fall from grace! Now, this Azada version looks like one of the worst clones of many of the substandard adventure games on this site. The graphics are muddy and cheap looking. Please do not use this artist for any more Big Fish games. I HATE the graphics on this one. For some reason, this artist seems to get most of the Big Fish game art assignments to the detriment of the players. The budget on this game must have come out of someone's pocket change. Please bring back quality art to adventure games.
This is the type of game where developers have thought of new approaches to making it fun. This one is fresh and playful. I love the innovations - other developers could take a few lessons from these developers in how to think creatively so that players can be surprised and amused. Most games are copies of other ones (same storyline, same scenes, same games, same characters, same HOS - boring. It is as if one game uses an element like a stalled car so 300 other games add a stalled car to their video). Also, there are more games - hurray - instead of the usual HOS! Try it. You'll love it!
