Well, this plays like the original Campgrounds game which means that it's awesome!!
The original Campgrounds game is one of my absolute favorite time management/strategy games. It's a good story and the game can be played in either timed or untimed mode so it's something that everybody in the family can enjoy.
Well, the gameplay was nice. The game doesn't really add all that many new actions as it goes along, it just makes things go faster.
I had fun when I was actually playing. I didn't have fun when the chunks of story kept coming up.
See, I don't really like to know the story of the game when I'm playing a demo. If I buy the game I want the story to be fresh. It's more fun that way. This means that I skip the story. With this game it felt like I spent more time hurrying through the story than I actually spent playing the game.
Now maybe it would have been better if I'd read all of the story. Maybe I'd have been so interested in the story that I wouldn't mind it interrupting the gameplay in the middle of a level. I can't say for sure. What I can say is that, as a general rule, I don't care much for games that have (what feels like) more story than playing time.
So I was wanting a nice sudoku game. I decided to try the few that are available here. Sadly, I was not impressed. This game was the last one I had left to check out.
Why is it that the thing you want is always in the last place you look for it?
I bought this game because it's good sudoku. But I love it for the "Latin squares". It's like sudoku, but, not...
Also have to comment on the music. I love the music! It's catchy and upbeat but not so happy that it's annoying.
I really enjoyed this game - it's fun, it's cute - I just liked it.
There are 6 levels made up of 7 days each. Regardless of that it still felt that the gameplay wasn't long enough. Fortunately it will be just as fun the next time I play it.
A few things though... - Your character's name is Alicia. Other characters will verbally call you by this name. (I often wonder what it's like for a guy that plays these games.) - There is no way to replay a level for a higher score. If you're going for a perfect score and you don't make it, there is absolutely no way to try it again. - If you've already got a game going and you click "play" it will give you the option to start a new game or to load up the one you're working on. Be Careful - it's waaayy too easy to click the wrong thing and end up starting a whole new game while at the same time deleting the one you had been playng.
All that said - would I buy it again? Yeah, I probably would. I just wish it felt longer.

This is one of those games that has some really great things going for it but other things that aren't so great.
The story is good and makes sense. There is an interactive map that takes you from room to room. The artwork is cool, it has a 1950's fedora wearing private eye thing going on.
You can play it in either "classic" or "novel" mode. In "novel" mode the conversations are longer and more in-depth. I played in "novel" mode and it made the game very story-driven.
However, there are sparklies. Every place there is something to find - there are sparklies. They really stand out and it's annoying to not have the chance to figure out things on your own.
Overall, I enjoyed it. I wish that there hadn't been sparklies everywhere but I really enjoyed the story. It's going to be one of those hit-or-miss things for you.
Because of the sparklies everywhere this might be a good game for a beginner.

I enjoyed this one.
It was a nice balance between hidden object scenes and story. I played it on easy and I think it may have been a bit too easy. The mini games were simple as well.
I believe I used the strategy guide all of two times which means that I did well on my own. It also means that I didn't really need the strategy guide. I don't know how long the bonus gameplay was but I hope that it was enough to make it worth paying the extra money for the CE.
It took me just under 5 hours to finish - it tells you how long you took, that's how I know. At this point I don't really feel that it was worth it to get the CE. Perhaps that will change when the SE is released and I see how much of the game was bonus gameplay, but right now I wish I'd waited.

The game itself isn't a new idea. You basically aim a ball. Each level has a set of pegs, you are trying to hit all the orange ones but they are mixed in with the blue pegs.
Pretty darn simple. ~BUT~ It is fun. Really fun.
I don't think that I'd normally be too excited about a game like this - but Peggle Deluxe takes an older idea and makes it fresh and neat all over again.
I think that lots of people will enjoy this game - regardless of whether or not it's a genre that they would normally play. What's even better is that kids will enjoy this as well.

First things first - this game took forever and a day to download. Seriously. I almost gave up on it but by that point I wanted to know what the game was like so I waited it out.
I'm glad I waited it out. This is a good game.
I played on the easy setting and although the HO areas were sparkley, they blended in well.
When you click on the hint button after you've cleared a room, a bubble will pop up showing the location you should go to next with a "GO" button. Pushing the button will take you to that place. So nice for those of us that get lost.
I really enjoyed the story as well which is nice since so many games have rubbish story lines.
Even though I just bought a ton of games (it was a great sale) I'll be buying this one too.
While I think that many will love this game, I think that because the hints give so much information this might be a good game for a beginner as well.
I really liked this game. It's cute and funny and just plain fun.
This is like the Gardenscape games but Tales of Lagoona has more of a plot which helps to keep it interesting. The characters are drawn in a cartoon style which I thought was really cute and there were bits of dialogue that made me giggle.
The graphics were good. Hidden object scenes are good, no junkpile. I loved it that the characters have a cartoonish style to them. The gameplay was smooth, the loading time was fast, it had a very clean feel to it.
I really liked the music in this game. It's mellow, pretty, and relaxing. However, I made the mistake of leafing through some pics of my kids while leaving the game running - with the soundtrack playing - and it was like having my own personal "Hallmark" commercial. Just try it. See if it doesn't make you sentimental.
If you like the Gardenscape games or are wanting to check out a game with hidden object scenes that's not really a hidden object game, this might be what you're looking for.
