I was immediately hooked by the story. It reminded me of the Saw series (which I'm not a huge fan of). I loved the lines from the kidnapper (the first time I heard them) and I liked Helene's attitude. Unfortunately there was a lot of material set up that never really paid off and the ending wasn't satisfying.
The graphics are nice but the gameplay is enough to pull you out of the experience. You're unable to pick up an item until the game adds it to the list even if you know that the item is needed for the present puzzle. It feels a like your hand is being held by someone that thinks you're younger than you are.
I got to a place where Helene stated that an item was needed but I couldn't get the game to add it to the list for me to pick up. Add to that an annoying night-vision segment, the kidnapper repeating lines, and the hint button's annoying habit of pointing out the task instead of the item that would help with the task and game play slows to a crawl in places.
And when you're slowed down you begin to wonder why she's putting things together instead of jumping out a window. Overall, it's a pretty good story but with the gameplay frustrations I'd suggest giving it a pass unless you're a hardcore fan of this type of story.
I don't recommend this game.

This was the first Hidden Object game that i ever played. I fell in love with the story. I've played it three or four times now and I haven't gotten tired of it yet.
I recommend this game!

I really liked this game but it was very short. I bought this after I played through the trial and when I replayed it I beat it in about two hours. I liked the story and I was genuinely surprised by the ending.
Overall, if you have a free game to pick out you could do worse than Foreign Dreams, but it's very short for a full priced game.

I'm mainly a console gamer and I picked this game because the art reminded me of my favorite console series (Bioshock). I found it really fun, but some of the puzzles were aggravating, rather than challenging.
I recommend this game!
