I don't play solitaire very often. The few games I own are "gathering dust" in my purchase history. I tried Regency Solitaire on another site. The art style and the story drew me in, and I decided to buy it after playing the first chapter.
Bella's brother has a terrible gambling habit, so she may have to marry her neighbor, Mr. Bleakley. With the family fortune gone, she sets out to find love and restore her family's reputation.
There's an option to skip the story at the beginning of every chapter if it doesn't interest you. I'm currently playing Chapter 12 out of 20, and I don't want the game to end. It's got excellent replay value. You have the option to replay every hand to get a perfect score. This is a long game, and it's definitely worth a purchase.
When you quit the game, you can pick up where you left off, which means you don't have to replay the entire chapter. However, if you click on the wrong button, you'll have to start the chapter again. I also did this during a hand. There's a replay and a next button. I hit next by accident and skipped an entire level. This didn't set well, so I restarted the chapter. I didn't expect the game to allow me to skip hands or finish a chapter without completing all of the goals, but I'm playing on normal, so that may be why it happened.
This is a one up, one down solitaire game. You have goals for every chapter. Some examples are: Earn 4,400 gold coins, get 3 perfect hands, find a certain item, or get a 2.2 multiplier.
Features:
-Decorate the ballroom with coins you earn
-Choose which items to buy at the end of every chapter
-Every item you buy is a power up for your game (Cupid shoots a random card from the board, the lyre shuffles the cards, and the phoenix burns 2 random cards, etc.)
-180 levels
-Beautiful backgrounds and cards/Plain cards or default cards
-Gorgeous classical soundtrack
-Each chapter's background can be set as desktop wallpaper (I currently have the lavender field on mine.)
-You can use Bella's ballroom as desktop wallpaper at any time, even when it's not completely decorated
-Normal and hard difficulty modes
-Replay-able hands/chapters, although you MUST replay the hand immediately or you'll have to restart the chapter
-Soft palette, hand-drawn art (The game interface is pretty, right down to the pearl strands under the multiplier score at the top left of the game screen.)
-Widescreen option
If you like solitaire, you should definitely play the trial to see if you'll like it. I highly recommend this game!

This game won't appeal to everyone simply because of the camera motion. I think that's the main reason it's rated so poorly. Another issue is the bees being so slow, but later in the game, there are power-ups to speed them along.
Bee Garden's camera doesn't have 360 degree movement, per se. However, it does move up, down, left, and right when you're searching for hidden pieces to help you with rain showers, extra seeds, bug spray, etc. I've enjoyed the hidden objects mixed in with the time management. It definitely keeps me busy, and I love all the different flowers and goals in the game. The locations are really pretty, too.
I will always come back to this game. That's more than I can say for most of my collection. It's just different and more fun than most TM games I've played. I recommend giving the demo a try to see if it's for you.
I recommend this game!

I've been playing this game on another site. The pictures are gorgeous and the music has a catchy, island beat. I'd heard the music in another game, but it took me a while to figure out which one. It's Katy and Bob: Way Back Home. This game has all the features of the other holiday jigsaw games except the option to lock the pieces on the board. If it's there, I can't find it, but that's the only gripe I have. You can play with 12 pieces or select a photograph from one of the 4 boxes with hundreds of pieces. There are trophies to win for completing a certain number of puzzles. I like that you can choose whether you want to rotate the pieces by selecting a box with a picture of a rotating puzzle piece, you can choose the size and shape of the pieces, and you have the ghost background or the image showing while you put the puzzles together. There's an option to sort the pieces and play with just the edges. As always, there's a box in the upper left corner to place extra pieces. The game fits my widescreen monitor. There are slider bars for the sound and music. I love the Valentine's theme and colors. If you like jigsaw puzzles, this is definitely worth demoing. Give it a try and see if it's for you.
I recommend this game!

I loved Farmington Tales, so I was very excited to see this release. At first glance, it looks just like the first game with a winter theme added (as all the scenes/buildings are identical), but it's much more than that. Oil has been discovered on the farm and the bank wants it. Floyd has to come up with a way to keep Dahlia Farms, so we get to turn it into a winter wonderland, complete with sleigh rides, carousel, and playground, etc. The new building upgrades are really cute and colorful. If you liked the first game, you'll probably love this one! I've been playing it for a few hours already.
Features:
-Upgrades for farm buildings plus new attractions to build
-Puzzles are available to replay from the main menu
-Falling snow can be turned off in the options menu
-Three custom cursors that can be disabled
-Music is nice and relaxing on low setting
-48 trophies
-Cute quests/extra items to find
-Find gems in each scene to unlock new scenes
-Cozy holiday atmosphere
-Some new puzzles and mini games
-Original characters have returned except the chatty traveling salesman (which is just fine with me)
-Tetris-style puzzle for organizing sale items that can be skipped after each H0 scene (auto-fill is available)
I had to change my screen resolution to get rid of the black bars at the top and bottom, but that's such a small price to pay for this gem of a game. The gameplay is the same as it was in the first game: Complete quests for bonus cash, find objects to sell at the market, grow crops in your greenhouses to sell, and tend to your farm animals. Great value for the money! I recommend giving the demo a try. Happy gaming!
I recommend this game!

If you enjoyed Fairy Godmother Tycoon and DinerTown Tycoon, you would probably like this game as the game mechanics are very similar. Your objective is to put your 3 competitors out of business (which isn't as easy as it might seem). I bought the game on sale, thinking it might be short and/or boring, but I really enjoyed the trial. I'm so glad I decided to buy it. It's definitely worth full price. The replay value is high because your decisions will have different consequences each time.
While you'll be performing the same actions, i.e. ordering flowers, reading the news, and setting your route(s) each day, you'll have different options to choose from such as hiring a lawyer to file a frivolous lawsuit, donating money to a homeless man, and hiring a competitor's former employee to sabotage their research. These options can bankrupt you or put someone else out of business. The second time I played the game, I lost everything for choosing to sabotage my opponents. Police officers and mechanics will approach you and offer to "help" you out. I wanted to play fair, but it takes a lot longer to reach your goals that way. ;-)
Basics:
*Music is pleasant. I've been playing for hours with it turned down low and it hasn't bothered me.
*Windowed mode - Yes
*Widescreen - Yes
*Graphics - Cartoon-ish, cute, and colorful - Game menus are easy to read.
*Daily news is humorous.
*There's no timer and no rapid clicking to tire you out.
*Custom cursor is okay.
*Tutorial is helpful.
You earn extra merchandise by making a certain amount of money and by placing your carts on more than half the areas on the map. The main thing to keep up with is your market share. My opponents have more cash than I've made, but I'm holding my own on my 3rd play-through.
I recommend playing the demo and exiting before the hour is up so that your progress won't be lost. I had to start over when I downloaded the full version. Other than that, I've had no problems. It's worth a look if you're wanting a relaxing and fun strategy game.
I recommend this game!
