I really like the intro, a halloween party, have some fun tonight.
Sadly it only goes down from here. All puzzles and HOPs are so ridiculously easy it simply hurts. Then it again is the same ol' premise of a mother doing bad things to safe a sick child, otherwordly evil comes into play and we need to safe a close one. Only that close one does not deserve to be safed - will not spoil why but I really thought, no buddy, safe yourself, I am out of here.
Please give us more Nancy Drew-like or at least some interesting storylines! And some puzzles that deserve the name.

Finally, none of the usual in terms of storyline. A bit short but very interesting especially for the stories in the actual book and the theme itself: the power struggle of nature versus tech and the ever present trickster gaining the most.
It's easy for experienced point-and-click-gamers but nevertheless really worth it.
