Good game, I liked almost everything about this game. Good graphics, good sound and I liked the story. No useless walking around. if you try to leave an area and you missed something the character will stop and say "I think I should look around some more". I like these adventure games and this one is quite playable. The only thing that lacked was no clues at all, no sparkles and no skipping puzzles. You have to run your cursor all over the screen and it turns gold and a description flashes at the top of the screen if you go over something you can react with. What tripped me up was a couple times was that the active item was so small that I couldn't even see it and the cursor never hit right on it so it didn't turn gold. Also, some items aren't active until you go into another area, do something and come back. So if you feel like you're stuck or missing something run your cursor over everything again, Also, a couple of the puzzles were haaaaaaard! Without a walkthrough I think I would have given up. (I should point out I'm lazy) If you like these kind of games I say go for it. I'm glad I did.

It took me forever to get to the front door in scene 1. You keep walking by it but you have to make left, right right etc in just the right combo to get there. And that was just the beginning. There are items everywhere that you need to take, but you can't take them until you need them, so you have to remember where you saw all these things so you can come back for them later. One of the first things you need to do is collect some items and start a fire. I had everything but the logs and it wouldn't let me pick them up. Even with the walk through I couldn't figure out why. After about 20 trips around the house I finally got the logs. That was it for me. This is not my idea of fun.
I liked this game. It's really oriented towards young ladies. Learn how to arrange place settings, fill snack orders against the clock, and interrogate your classmates (a lot).
I recommend this game!

It took me awhile to get the hang of this game but it was worth it. A most awesome adventure. Don't forget to get Syberia 2, the adventure just gets better.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

Excellent sound effects and visuals. I liked the morphing objects for a change. Kind of gross in a couple places. I like the story and it kept me wanting to know what would happen next. My pet peeve is puzzles that don't tell what you are trying to do. i probably skipped 1/2 of them because I just didn't get them. Overall though it was a good time.
I don't like to stop a game before it's is done but I was tempted many times. Several of the mini-puzzles made no sense to me. The story was uninteresting. I just couldn't get into it.
