This is the best ERS game ever.
For the first time I have actually both enjoyed the story, been challenged and seen new things from ERS.
The hints are finally real hints. One is showed the direction to go. It's a huge improvement compared to the usual: "there is nothing you can do here".
The HOS were fun, and in most of them I had to "think out of the box" to solve them - That was really fun !!!
Usually ERS are eyeteasers, but way to easy for anyone with just a littel experience, but this time I actually had to consult the walkthrough a couple of times. WTG.... and at long last.... I can say, that I am looking forward to the next game from ERS.
Even though I have the feeling that ERS is getting on the right track, the game lacks a little before I'll ring all the bells:
I'd like to see a map. In this game a jump-map isn't nessesary as one work in areas so the backtracking is between a limited number of scenes.
The scales found all over the game was a very good idea, and it really made sense in the end, but they were way to easy to find - so next time I'd like to get some collectibles that one have to use a little efford to find.
If I could I would rate this game 4,7.... so... almost there :-)
I can most ceratainly recommend this game
I recommend this game!

I really, really liked this game.
The story was very well put together, and even though I didn't find all the morphing objects - it's my favourite kind of extras-stuff.
Only complaint is the length - I finnished the whole game including the bonus chapter in less than 4 hours. That is way too little gameplay for a CE game - I am no expert and am always taking the time to find the items in the HOS - I only skipped one puzzle as I didn't figure out what to do.
If the next game in the series/from these devs. isn't any longer I am done getting the CE's from this developer.
But .nevertheless.... a very enjoyable game, and I know I'll replay this one.
I recommend this game!

Even though this revue is only based on the demo, I'd say I've got a pretty good impression of the game.
The very first scene simply amazed me - I could really feel the adrenalin rush in my blood, and my first thought was, that I just had to get this game.
It was so different from all the Car crashes, lost Fiances and missing Brothers - WOW !!!!
In the first chapter it seems as if there would be plenty to do everywhere - Elephant level ???
Then I had the first HOS - it was beautiful, and it was a real challence to find all the object.
So far so good - very good actually !!
Also the first puzzles were good. An assembly one and a rather difficault slider game.
I was still exited over getting a good Sunday game.
But from there everything went down the drain.
The story goes like : meet something spooky, make a potion, get rid of the spell and move on.... Again and again.....
One thing is, that we have to do the same HOS twice, but we even have to pick some of the same items - that shows the laziness of the developers. On top of that, the HOS are plain HOS = no interaction at all.
There is no map, and as you keep going 6 steps forth, 5 back, 7 forth, 6 back etc - a transporter map is really extremely needed.
After the first "area" there was very little to do in the scenes - pick 1 thing, place another, do a HOS and solve a puzzle, and as you constantly make your potion and move on to another area (only go back to brew your potion in the same mortar etc). The game became more and more boring.
No helpers in game, no cellectibles, no morphing objects, no achievements and the diary only gave the recipes for the easy, easy potions.
There is no real diary and no walkthrough, but you won't need any as the game is very, very easy, and I was so bored that I was glad when the demo ended.
And that it folks - nothing more.
... and what a pity. This game started with great potential, and I really thought that these developers could challenge Elephant Games.
They most certainly could not.
I don't recommend this game.

Just can't believe that so many has rated this game so highly.
It is absolutely boring. The lack of challence and variation is unbelievable (for the rating).
Even though this game is todays DD.... considering, that there are so many good games in the Pond - no way I'll waste more time on this one.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is just not good enough.
Annoyingly slow movements so even thoug it is easy it takes forever to do things.
There is a journal but no map - but you don't need either, as you just keep getting a 3-scene location and you just go back and forth between those 3 locations untill you have found what you need to solve the easy tasks.
The HOS came close to nice and had both variation and mild interaction, but as the storyline along with the slow, slow movement seemed quite dull, it didn't really do enough to make it a good game.
And as the gameplay at the same time seemed so outdated compared to all the good games BF provide..... this game is just a no-go for me.
Anyone just a little experienced would find this one too easy - but who knows.... someone might need a filler :-)
I don't recommend this game.

The first game from this developer in a long time, that offers a little progress and challenge - BRAVO !!
The HOS are interactive, and if one can keep the mouse away from the (very, very helpfull) hintbutton - there is some nice challenge in figuring out what to do next and where to go.
But.... on the other hand - as there is no map and no diary, one might very well need the handholding a little more than ususal.
The game is clear and crisp, and as every ERS-game a pure eye-teaser
The tasks and mini-games are pretty easy to solve, but somehow this game is so refreshing, that I didn't really mind.
A little beaver keeps disturbing the scene - kind of cute, and adds a little extra to the liniarity.
Even though I really miss to find collectibles/morphing items it is a recommendable game to both beginners and the more experienced players.
The demo kept me well intertained, and it's the first ERS-game in a long time, that went straight to my "get-list".
I recommend this game!

Maybe we have been spoiled the last year or so, but this game seemed to be outdated. It lacked all the good stuff that has been generously spread in most CE-games lately
- No map
- No interactivity in HOS
- Very little to do here and there
- No morphing objects or other items to find/collect
- "Flat" cutscenes
- Avaragely drawn
... And to all those who complains about the difficault HOS's.... come on... hidden objects are supposed to be hidden, and when my 54 year old eyes can find them all without using a hint, I guess it's just a matter of being a little more patient.
If you like to have few items in your inventory and never being in doubt where to go or what to do - this is definitely a game for you.
I prefer games to be a bit more challenging, but others might love this one for the simplicity.
I'll get this game, when it comes as a daily deal or on a sale.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game after the trial - because in spite of the fact, that it was a game with very little challenge, and repeating the same over and over again... I acually felt very well intertained during the trial.
BUT......
When the game ended I (for once) was very glad that it is a very short game - not much to write home about, but could be fine if you have some time to kill - and really nothing better to do
As for the storyline.... after the first two letters I just clicked through it without reading a single word.... was really so ridiculous that I didn't bother, and it had absolutely no influence on the game.
Try it out..... could be an OK time-killer for 2.99
I recommend this game!

This really is a nice game.
Based on the trial - that ended without even a kiss of goodbye :-) .... I'd say that here we have another of those games, with lots to to, many places to explore and a lot to seek and find... Yiippiii !!!!
One of the things I really like is the variaton of the HO's - in the demo alone they come in the ususal "find what's on the list", "put things in the proper places" and "empty the box". Even though none of them were the least diffucault, they were fun.
The tansporter-map is very helpfull - really saves you a lot of going back and forth.
I wont repeat what others have allready written, but noone will waste money on this game, and the only reason that I only rate it 4 stars is, that I found the mini-games a little too easy. Everything else about this game is 5+
P.S. - hope someone will post how long the game is :-)
I recommend this game!

I have to aggree with another reviewer - it's very annoying not to be able to skip the dialouges.
Actually - out of a 30 min trial (shortest ever seen) the first 8 minutes are unskippable dialouge and a bunch of different "screens" with all the credits for this game.
The navigation is "360 degree old-school" wich might appeal to some, but after 15 minutes round and round in the basement without finding anything or anyone... I just hit the exit and deleted the game.
People with a lot more patience than me could find a good playable game, so I suggest that you try it out for yourself.
I don't recommend this game.
