So tired of some of the HOGs that have been coming out, all creepy and scary, somewhat disturbing. This harkens to some of the Dark Parables and Margraves games, clever, a bit of danger but nothing disgusting. Fun, minigames are a bit different and don't require a PhD in quantum mechanics. Really enjoyed it!
I recommend this game!

Noticed in forum that other folks had trouble with bugs shutting down game, and some gave up. Confess my game hit some snags and shut down, but I just started game back up and it would be fine - it's very well worth it. Great fun, unique play, not many HOGs, but wonderfully unique storyline. I keep a netbook nearby with the walkthrough open and peek when needed. I know, that's cheating. Senior citizen privilege. Hardily recommend for novelty, cleverness. Loved it.
I recommend this game!

I hesitated to download this game, as it's a fairly large file, but it works beautifully on my older PC - and is a wonderful game - just the right level to keep interest high, puzzles that make you feel clever for solving them, but don't leave you running to the walkthrough for guidance (some others keep me with my trusty netbook beside me, cheating as I go, very sad). This one moves along, beautiful scenes, and not too much gloom and doom, which seems to characterize so many HOG games. For those with older PCs, this one works great, as does Ice Rose, Surface, and the recent, and wonderful, Nightmares from the Deep, Cursed Heart, so if, like me, you've had trouble with, for ex., Song of the Phoenix or Silentville on your PC, try this one, you will not be disappointed.
I recommend this game!

I've got a 5 or 6 year old PC and wasn't sure this game would load/play, but it did, and it's very entertaining. I'm 60 and was uncertain about the pirate theme, but the scenes are almost cinematic in quality, and it's like an interactive adventure movie. The puzzles and HOGs are appropriate and fun. I'm delighted with the game. Recommend strongly.
