Long long time TM player. I don't review too many games unless I feel strongly about something. This game was VERY enjoyable! The levels weren't too easy but you could go back to ace them once you got farther along and had gained better skills, which I love. I also enjoy hidden items in each level.
The reason for 4 stars is I just don't feel there are enough levels overall for a Collector's Edition. It would also be very nice if there were additional unexpected skills points for attaining achievements.
Regardless, it was absolutely fun playing, just too short, I want more!
Def not for TM beginners. I'm a long time TM player and love a good challenge. However, there are so many items to track and collect. On top of that, the buildings don't really stand out from one another so keeping track of what-is-where and what is important to make sure to collect is very difficult for the short amount of time you have on each level.
That being said, I of course bought it. TM games are few and far between and this one is not bad, simply a bit more frustrating to me than enjoyable.
I recommend this game!

I LOVE these types of games but this game is so much of a chore! I really can't stand mini-games in any of these types of games but the ones here are far too many and overly cumbersome. Selecting things is difficult as the game doesn't acknowledge every 1 out of 4 or so times you click. I just really do not like this game at all, and I stupidly bought it before testing...grrrr....
I am an avid TM player. This game is a pleasant, easy game. You honestly don't need to think too much since there's not a great deal of actual strategy to it. It is simple, straightforward and enjoyable.
If you're like me and you thrive on strategy and hard challenges, this game may not be for you... however it is nice to pass the time with, without too much brain power.
I just completed this game. It was easy to finish and I only had to replay maybe 1 or 2 levels to gain 3 stars. There was some frustration finding "just-the-right-spot" to click in order to access certain stations. I am a die hard TM fan and usually buy them as soon as one so rarely appears. I especially love the Emily-type series, but hate all the mini-games that have been added.
The story line in this game was worse than horrible. The overwhelming level of STUPIDITY in the characters and in the story line was ridiculous! I am far from being a prude, but then you add in references to sex toys and illegal drugs and I completely REGRET buying this game!
I'd be very interested in knowing what the average age of this series players are. Apparently the developers do not have a high opinion of the younger adult audience, who this game was so obviously written for, and no respect for the older adult audience who finds it offensive.
I don't normally leave reviews, but I had to stop playing this game and vent. I get very frustrated when they create a HOG that, for example, wants you to find a "green bottle" and there happen to be more than one on the screen. I came across this type of issue over and over again. Also the background sound is very annoying! The mini games were easy and repetitive. All that being said, the story is nice and the graphics good. This would be a fun beginner HOG.
With great new graphics, unlockable videos and even more exciting challenges, you’ll love every minute of this amazing adventure through architectural history!
I was so excited when I saw two new games in this series, but didn't finish the trial on either due to the changes. It was annoying trying to tell the difference between very similar noises and their meanings. I really enjoyed the previous games with their older, historic feel, unlike these new Monument Builders games which are more cartoony.
I prob would have liked it if I had never played a Monument Builder game... but, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"...
I'm sure this is still a great game for someone else.
