I love this game because it has multiple challenge components integrated in the play mode. That means you choose your focus, no need to toggle for levels of difficulty. This is a well crafted game and it plays smoothly. If you want to race the timer, go ahead. If you want to advance but not race the timer (that is me, always, due to hands don't race), then play slowly and place the shapes to advance in other ways, such as trying to consolidate colors or fill every blank. I don't play the sound, so have no comment there. So, I bought this one for the tetras type puzzle, with the option to race or not (again, me), and I'll enjoy it many times over! Give it a try, excercise your options!
I recommend this game!

Like others, my first response to reaching a point where it looked like the only way forward was to buy the way through the game, I deleted it. Later, I tried it again and discovered that there is strategy involved. With the "collections" feature the specific rewards of the levels become meaningful, this is the challenge. Yes, to keep free the daily time of play is limited at first. As levels advance, using strategy keeps the rewards increasing as well as the time of play. If you want to buy your way through the game or can't wait for a while to regenerate energy, etc., then go ahead. I say it's not necessary, but does support the developers and they did make a nice game, so that's ok, too!
I confine my review to the puzzles aspect; all other features are well covered by existing reviews. Puzzles: finally, a game with creative graphics that's full of them and has a variety of levels of difficulty; some even requiring repeated attempts and a considerable number of moves to accomplish. Highly recommend on this point.
