This is a beautiful game. I even loved the music. Usually, I turn off a game's music and play my own instead, but this music was enjoyable and relaxing. This is pure mahjong, which I like. It puts me into a peaceful, meditative state.
I enjoy this game because it is so beautiful. I like it even more than the first in the series. The story is funny, though probably not intended to be. The story is kind of hard to follow, but that doesn't matter because the game is so enjoyable. The confusing story reminds me of how love often is, so I think it is apt. If you want to escape for awhile in a visually beautiful experience, this is the game. It is not that hard, which adds to the relaxation factor. I like the nostalgic theme.
This was the best solitaire game that I've ever played. The constantly changing scenes and lay outs keep my interest. I liked the hidden object type challenges in between the rounds. Nice art work. Fun Story, There were some great powers to go after which made an old game more interesting. This game is well worth having. I know that I'll play it again and again.
This spring and summer I began playing Hidden Object Games. Of the games that I've played, so far, this is my favorite. I like how the scenes change with the lighting adjustments. The sound track is something that I enjoy listening to. With most games, I turn off the sound and listen to my own music, but this music has a beat and is interesting because it features instruments like the pan flute. This is a highly creative game. In the collector's addition there is a generous amount of bonus game play, which makes it well worth getting.
By clicking on everything in a scene what you are trying to find is gradually revealed. It's a refreshing change from the usual HOG lists. The graphics are beautiful. I appreciated the lack morbid themes/scenes, though it wasn't overly light or cute either. Too bad this game is a little on the short side. The ending left me hanging, but, then there is the second Crystal Portal game to look forward to. I liked how intelligent this game felt. It's well worth a try, since it is something different.
This game is great for those who like to compete. I rarely play it, since I relax with Mahjong. I don't like having to see the scores of the top players, repeatedly. "O.K. they are twice as fast as me." There's a lot of variety in the choice of versions of this game, but the focus on fast, fast, fast, so I find it tedious.
This game is a whole different approach to Mahjong. I like having to unlock things and having two different ways of playing. It's a beautiful game with an interesting theme.
