It's the same matching game as many others here. One just came out last week, Doodle God Solitaire. All you do is match the value of the cards to remove them. Because I already have one of these games, I only played it for a few minutes to make sure it was the same. It is.
You earn points/coins by removing cards and can buy mulligans (a redo), reshuffles, or jokers. Some of these also will come during the game if it is like all the others this dev puts out. Cards with a red ribbon on the corner award more points/coins.
The art is beige and blurry, so not too good, but the music is not bad. It mostly sounds as if you should be dancing the minuet to it, so earlier time period than Victorian. But still, I enjoyed listening to it.
It plays well, so if you don't already have one of these games, it might work for you. I recommend it because, though it is the same as others, I liked the music.

The art is nice, the music ls appropriate.
It works well.
But the aggravations in the game made me quit after about 20 minutes. Here's a list (with minor spoilers):
--You can't get out the door to get to the car. It won't open. Instead, you apparently climb out the window after turning the car on remotely. Or magically transport to the road, not sure which. --You have a lock pick, but it won't unlock the car door after you lock the keys inside. (And can you even lock the keys inside--it's a remote lock that you used from your upstairs window to start the car. My keys like that won't let me lock them in the car. I know!) --Worst of all, the instructions to minigames appear over and cover up the minigames. I had to skip the second one because of this. Had I been able to view instructions and minigame at the same time, I would have probably succeeded with the minigame.
Finally, extras appear to be missing. I like to play minigames over when they are good. There seems to be no ability to do so with this game. There are "archives" and a "secret room," but there are no hints as to what these are. Maybe the replayable minigames and HOPs are in one of these, but I can't tell. Therefore, I am not tempted to buy, given the other annoyances.
I will buy this CE only if I need it for a 2 for 1 sale. I might buy the SE when it comes out because I have not needed the strategy guide, the hint and skip buttons are sufficient.

If you like this type of game, I highly recommend it. Of course, I love jigsaw-type puzzles, so this is right up my alley.
TIP: Puzzles start with different (random) puzzle pieces in place, and you fill in the rest. As with all these games, if you start a puzzle over, different puzzle pieces will be initially available. This is a good feature because some initial puzzle setups can be too difficult--so just start over for an easier one.
As always, the time is too short to beat after the first few puzzles, so turn it off. Otherwise, have fun!

I played the demo. It's a card matching game, not really a card game. Suits don't matter. Match two numbers to remove them from the board. There are some bonuses, such as Mulligans (a type of redo).
This game is virtually the same as all the other matching games available through BFG.
The art is OK. Cards are too ornate for my taste, but are legible.
I turned off the music because I found that, to me, the various musical themes are either: 1) mundane and boring or 2) overblown and annoying Other games of this type by this developer have better music, I think. Try Solitaire Beach Season if you like this type of game.
A petty annoyance: The tutorial makes you spend valuable cards and you don't get them back.
There appears to be an attempt at a story line, but it's not clear from anything but the BFG description.
You have to get a certain number of points in the ten hands to pass to the next level. There are twelve levels, so the game is pretty long. If this game is similar to others of this type by this developer, the hands don't necessarily get harder as you go along. Difficulty seems to be random. (I could not play enough of it during the demo to tell if this game is different, but I suspect not.)
One interesting item--levels allow you to keep coins that you win even if you just page through the level and lose on purpose. (Maybe all these games do this, I never tried it before.) So you can find a level that initially gives cards with the little ribbon on the corners--the ones that give you coins--and just page through quickly to get the coins, over and over. This could buy a lot of Mulligans if needed.
I'm not recommending this game one way or the other. Because all in all, yawn. I own one other virtually identical game, so I won't buy.
But try it. If you don't have one of these matching games, this one might be the one for you.

I thought my dreams of having a different card game rather than just --one up and one down, and --matching two of the same card (both of which I am pretty sick of) were going to be answered by the "total to 14" part of the game. But it turns out, you have to play the matching and the up/down parts to get to the total 14 parts, and, you can't just linger there and play that part over and over.
Plus, I came to review because of the slow card animation and found that I was not alone. Devs, if you HAVE to flip every card to satisfy your artistic game sense, OK, but let us click for an immediate deal. Tedious otherwise.
Also, there are confusing aspects. For example, after you finish a part of a level, you get a screen with a coin that turns around and around, but you can't click on it and it's not good for anything. I am totally unsure why that screen is even there.
There is no option for simpler looking cards, which I would prefer, though they are not as bad as some games I have seen.
But it seems to work well. I will probably get it with a free coupon some time.
At least someone is trying for variety in card games, and for that I thank you.

The art is sharp and appropriate but gloomy The music, I cannot even remember, though it was not turned off. I did not notice it.
I did, however, play all but 4 minutes of the demo without noticing how long I was playing. Basically, I got sucked into the gameplay.
That's the mark of a really good game, to me. So to me it is a five star game. Even though I agree with other reviewers that there is nothing new or particularly special here, being entertained without getting stuck or thinking "well that was stupid."

It's beautiful, game play is okay, and all the CE bells and whistles are there. But I have never seen a game where the characters talk so much! Even the games talk at you. It's much more immersive to SHOW instead of TELL! Sheesh!!

A puzzle game at last, but It's just not very interesting.
There is an untimed mode, which is what makes the game fun for me. Untimed is not the default, so if you play games to relax instead of for excitement, be sure to set it.
You must connect the areas and then click on like-colored jewels to bring them together.
