i've been waiting for the Mac version…boy was i disappointed. I have played the 1st Park Rangers game many times and it is a dynamite, relaxing game. This game was frustrating from the get go because the HO's are mainly junk piles. It's as if the developers wanted to assault our vision by cramming as much "stuff" into each scene.
The objects can be very dark but the hint button fills up quick (on casual play). I would wait till this game is on sale or 2 for 1.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a beautiful holiday game. The graphics and music are gorgeous. I found it easier to play then the Nutcracker (which I still haven't finished playing) because this games has the wonderful map that lets you jump to the location you need to be. Brilliant. I only played the demo and I enjoyed it but found there was too much back & forth for my taste. I love the HO portion but finding all the keys etc to open a gate, cage or drawer tiring. That's just me. I played on easy mode. There are 4 options. I am a a borderline beginner/intermediate player. I prefer the
HO games of 5 yrs ago. I recommend this game to all. It just wasn't fun enough for me to purchase.
I recommend this game!

i dislike HOGS that are timed, I thought the premise of this game were promising but realized that there are no instructions and that you play against the clock. no fun, not relaxing. The best thing is the jazz music in the background, something i usually mute but not this game.
I don't recommend this game.

I don't know how i missed this 3rd installment of Golden Trails. I see it came out in Dec '12. I absolutely love GT The Western Trail. I have played it over & over. That game had great colorful scenes and a story line that made sense. I read about GT 3 while reading through reviews of other games. I immedately bought it and started playing, but 50 minutes into the game, I am not as impressed. All the items you need are added to one long scroll located near the hint button. It was taking me forever to figure what item i needed to retrieve a hankerchief from the fireplace. I don't find this game as fun as the other 2. Darker scenes and HO items blend to well in the dull background scenes. I hope it lives up to my expectations, but so far it hasn't. Seems like the developers rushed this game out to cash in on the previous games' success. Recommended w/hesitation.
I recommend this game!

Sound loop is dull, game is fun and light hearted. This was based on 1-hr demo. I quite enjoyed it. I would like to ask developers to put the fun back in HOGS. I don't mind HOAG, but don't keep hashing out dark, paranormal, abduction games, we get too much of that from the news. A game like this is simple, colorful and easy on the brain. Yes, it's easy but developers, take note--turn it up a few notches and give us challenging happy games. The National Park System has an abundance of possibilities to make into marvelous HO games. Pursue them.
I recommend this game!

love this game. i turn the voice over off, music is good until it gets stuck in your head after the 12th time playing. I love the graphic clarity, mini games are easy but fun, shooting "gangsters" is fun, finding hidden bonus and lots of replay and extra game play make this very replayable. A note of caution. I find playing the other sequels on my Mac, the graphics are poor mainly because any scene with light to it makes half the scene invisable. Not sure why. But this game is a keeper. Buy it.
I recommend this game!

I played the first Wonderland as a way to pass the time. It was more a kids game and quite short, just over an hr play time. I trialed this and quite at 30 minutes. Just too many piles of junk, bright colors and obnoxious sound effects, which i turned off. Someone should make a good holiday game.
I don't recommend this game.
