I had high hopes for this game in the beginning--it seemed like fun and the graphics were great--but I never finished it. After three of the "find the differences" screens I had had enough. There is simply no way a normal person can find so many fiddling and subtle differences. The HO screens are difficult, yes, but at least they aren't impossible, like the others are. Unfortunately can't recommend this one, even though I'm a huge Baum fan!

I enjoyed the puzzle screens in this game--escaping each room and so forth--but the HO screens were very repetitive, which got irritating after a while, and the cut scenes are far too long and dull. The cut-scene graphics are terrible, too (why does the mom look like her hair is wet the whole time??). My kids like this game but they have a higher tolerance for redundancy than I do! It's fine to play once if you don't mind its issues, but definitely not one to return to.

I love the graphics and sound effects of this game--both are of the highest quality you can get in these types of games. (The narrator's voiceover could definitely be better, but it is very typical of this type of game.) The storyline is so-so (yet another "person wakes up and has to figure out what's happening" type of tale) but the puzzles are a challenge to solve and are mostly non-linear, and you have to visit every screen in order to solve the game, which I find to be more interesting than a more straightforward and linear style. The game keeps the HO screens in balance with the overall adventure style of the game. Highly recommended! (And try it on the iPad, too--the graphics are ideal for the HD screen!)

The Dream Chronicles series are some of my favorites, but this one was, as other reviewers have said, not up to the same level of challenge and thus not quite as fun. The fun was also spoiled for me with the whole "bubble popper/fill the tank" bit--you have to beat a bubble-popper style game in order to fly the ship, but you also have to collect stones for each and every game you play. So if you aren't a proficient bubble-popper, it takes many many many many trips (through several screens per trip, out to the stones and back to the ship) to get the ship going again, and this is ridiculously repetitive and tiresome. If they hadn't required this to fly the ship, or they had at least made the stones easier to get to, I would have liked this game a lot more!

This was the first Treasure Seekers game I played, and I immediately downloaded the rest at the first opportunity. I love how these games are designed--good stories, nice graphics, a variety of locales and design styles, and the "construction" quests are an interesting and unique twist on the traditional "adventure+HO" type of game. They are basically linear, with a limited number of screens to visit per "time," so there is a good but not overwhelming amount of challenge. Lots of fun!

The visuals are lovely here, and the gameplay is varied and fun. However, it isn't a good game for hard-core adventure gamers looking for a challenge--the puzzles are straightforward and the game provides a lot of "sparkle-guidance." My 8-year-old loved playing it and didn't need much or any help. A good game when you aren't looking for a brain-workout.

The visuals of this game were not to my taste, being rather clunky-looking in their attempt to look "real," and the story was fairly basic. However, the puzzles took some work to solve in most cases and I do enjoy a game that requires some thought and doesn't do all the work for me. The hidden objects are scattered into the same scenes as the people/things you interact with, which is a change from a more typical HO game, but the amount of HO was balanced with the more "adventure" style challenges to solve. It was challenging enough to be fun but looked like a kid's game (without being easy enough for most kids to solve). Worth a go but I won't be re-playing it again.

I wanted to add my voice and reinforce the general acclaim for this game. The gameplay was exactly the kind I like--a lot of puzzle/adventure/mystery to solve, mostly non-linear in nature, with just the right amount of HO and mini-puzzles so that you don't feel overwhelmed by either. Definitely requires a lot of checking back to scenes you've already "finished" in order to find everything you need! It was challenging enough that I had to resort to the walkthrough once, and I definitely felt satisfied with the amount of gameplay. (I would add that sometimes you have to try an item once or twice to get it to "take"--I had some trouble with items that didn't work the first time I tried them, which resulted in me getting "stuck" unnecessarily a couple of times.) The visuals are lush and gorgeous, and I love the gothic feel to the sound & look of the game.
**Spoiler Warning for the ending of the game!!**
As a longtime PotO fan, I thought this game did its inspiration justice, with the exception of the ending, or rather the *non*ending...I add my voice to everyone who hopes the fact that the story doesn't end is just a lead-up for a sequel! I would love to see more games like this at BF.
