The Halloween and Harvest spirits remain alive and well...bring on the German beer for celebration~ PROST...(German toast).
For the first time in a long time, I finished a demo and was so disappointed when it ended as I was enjoying it more than any other demo I have played in ages. Can't wait for a good sale....this one is first on my list.
The graphics in this are absolutely outstanding, defined, and colorful....making for a most enjoyable and festive atmosphere. What a pleasure to be able to see in a game without eye strain. Commendable.
There is a replay of HOS and Puzzles....sometimes I didn't know what was a puzzle and hos, though...they were so similar. I absolutely loved the full HOS with the cat. It was the only full size HOS I remember in the demo and wished there had been more. It was so very well done. The animals and people are very life like, too....Awesome.
This is an exquisitely balanced game and is true to being player friendly. There is not too much collecting of inventory or going back and forth...or too many puzzles. It also has an interesting story. For the most part it is very relaxing with just the right amount of challenge. Sometimes play is a bit shallow and slow, but the scenes are so gorgeous, I didn't mind and savored them.
The collectibles are coins and stamps that unlock "special" bonuses" at the end of the game. It would have been perfect to be able to buy items to decorate something with these coins, but I didn't see any such luxury. There are also 42 morphing objects. These have indicator tabs on the left side of your screen, alerting you to the amount needed to be discovered....very helpful and a welcomed addition.
This is a very well thought out and designed game with a conscientiousness for everyone, both young and older. It is of artistic excellence at its best. I also think it is one of the highest degree quality games by Four Friends....a most favorite developer of mine. WONDERFUL JOB~
KEEP THEM COMING~

The Biggest detriment to this game is it has a timer. When I play a game, I don't want to be timed whatsoever. There is no enjoyment in it. I couldn't believe this nine cent short of a dime aspect.
In scenes, when the timer runs out, the whole screen empties and you are presented with the next scene where, for me, the timer ran out without my having found all of the matches. I was never able to complete the scenes because of the timer. There were also suns to collect, for what, I don't know. They didn't seem to be accumulative for hints like when you collect crystals in the other games. One thing I do know is collecting them took more time from the very limited amount of time you are given to complete a scene. You can replay those scenes if you want to improve your score. I am not into that.
Then, for the KICKER.....On the last scene of a level, you must match 3 different size same items in the allotted time or you cannot proceed to the next level, so you are made to start over until you get it right. Well, guess what? I replayed this 2X and said, "Forget this noise", but when I did, the time ran out on my demo. How beautiful is that? I don't consider having to replay a scene over and over again until I go crazy a "Best Playground" in any way. Instead it is sheer aggravation.
I liked the music and the scenes themselves were ok and had some variations as well as challenge. If it had a no timer mode, I would have bought it, but because of it being timed and my demo time running out, I will never know if I could have progressed past this match 3 different size items in the ridiculously short amount of time given. It's like going nowhere, fast....and there is nothing relaxing or enjoyable in that.

This was originally released last November 2017 by goGameo....wow... BF was a little behind indeed, but better late than never.
This is an excellent game for memory skills. Not only are scenes repeated, there are also the same items to find sometimes. Exceptional. You also get a zoom feature on your mouse to see those hard to find items. I don't know what I would have done without it.
The graphics are outstanding, a little old school, but quite colorful and artistic. To add to the enjoyment is a continual loop of moody jazz music with only a few notes...just the type for putting me over the top. It added class to the game.
The simplicity of the game is so refreshing and relaxing. It is very conducive to those days when I am feeling brain dead.

I kept hearing a cuckoo in this game....and that is exactly the effect this demo had on me.
There was also a few notes of a music loop to listen to over and over in the HOS adding to the repetitive "driving one insane" cuckoo. I didn't finish the demo, not solely because of this, but because of everything else, too.
This is another game overwhelmed with inventory making you feel like you are being held hostage to a few scenes along with the time consuming puzzles in those scenes. It is very slow moving. I had tons of inventory with tons more places that needed it...and nowhere to put most of it. Parts, parts, and more parts. Then I find I am going to have to mix potions, too. Are we ever going to get out of here and move along? It is frustrating gameplay and after awhile I just gave up, not even caring about collectibles, which there are no indicators for and should be. This activity got tedious and boring....fast.
The graphics are bright and colorful with clarity. The story theme is geared for children which is fine, but I felt like I was in a cartoon being overrun with monotony.
Cuckoo....cuckoo...

Another poorly constructed and SHORT game. One of the worst aspects is the horrid graphics.....haze and fog....a lack of clarity in scenes causing eye strain and nausea. How is not being able to see clearly in a game enjoyable? It isn't. If that isn't bad enough, this is a very depressing story with an ending that is no ending at all. What was that all about???? If I read a book like this, I would take it back for a refund.
Much of the time is spent with time consuming puzzles, some of which I did enjoy....BUT....if you don't do puzzles, then you could probably finish this in an hour because there are too many puzzles making this seem to be a longer game than it really is. I think that is why they do it.
The HOS are very poorly done, hard to see....too many small box ones that you can finish in 5-10 seconds. This, the short length, number of puzzles and depressing story... and the extremely inferior graphics make this a loser of a game. DOA...that's dead on arrival.

There is WAY too much going back and forth....too much inventory to collect and too many places to use it. Everything needs something and often more than one item. There were times I didn't know what to do or where to go. I had inventory and nowhere to use it. I ended up using hints so much because this was a totally exhausting demo which I did not finish. The gameplay is a nightmare. It is overwhelming and convoluted. I did not enjoy it at all...not even the frogs which for the most part I breezed right through.
Graphics are like a cartoon as well as the story. It is juvenile and except for the very monotonous gameplay, it would appear this was meant for children.
There was a very annoying cursor sound that in order to eliminate it, you have to totally mute the effects, therefore losing any enjoyment of environmental sounds. Not pleasant.
I sure wouldn't know that this is the same developer who made the last DP game. It's like somebody had 50 cups of Starbucks and used different artists. It was completely overdone in the gameplay and inferior in graphics.
I wouldn't want to replay any of this.

As far as the Extras go in this game.....forget it. Aside from the regular fluff of the usual wall papers, etc....you have 25 morphing handprints which give you an extra achievement...and that is all there is for collectibles...a thrill. Then you have a replay of 15 mini games, but no HOS....huh? Why are we given a half, you know what package and being cheated out of this? It's lazy and cheap....especially when for the first time in a recent game there appears to be more hos than puzzles....a shock. To top it all off, the BC can be completed in less than an hour.
I really liked the old style game feel of this and the straight list traditional HOS which make up this game. There are no interactive and puzzle nonsense HOS. For the most part, the graphics are nice and atmospheric. The gameplay is balanced sufficiently...not an over abundance of back and forth or collecting too much inventory...or one puzzle after another....thank you.
Some of the game is slow and boring with the usual collecting of inventory that you have collected a million times before, but I found the gameplay to be relaxing in its own way. I enjoyed some of the scenery very much.
The main beef I have about this other than the short length and being cheated out of HOS replays is the outrageous, ridiculous, gadget detective glasses that you use to activate some of the HOS (not all of the HOS are this way). When these are used, it renders the scene foggy, making it a nauseating visual strain. On top of that are the annoying circles that pop up next to the item you find. They are evidence items and not a bad idea, but because of the lack of definition in these stupid, gimmick glasses scenes, the circles are distracting because I am already straining to find items in the haze and the circles are in the way. It would have been much better if the scenes had more clarity to them like the regular scenes in the game. You can really tell the difference in the scenes when you complete the HOS. I want to be able to see clearly without eye strain.
With the BIG exception of the BC being so short, it was ok. There are a decent number of HOS, which I liked. There were some puzzles that I think were time consuming making the bonus appear to be longer than it really is....reason for incorporating them, I think. It would be nice to have the story dominate than time consuming puzzles.
This isn't the worst game and surely not the best. It left me wanting for more and not a feeling of satiety at all.

The gameplay is atrocious in this. I could not even finish the demo. There is so much back and forth....so many things need inventory....and I don't have what is needed....so I have to go searching back and forth, around and around until I am utterly dizzy and sick to my stomach, not giving a you know what anymore because it is nothing but TORTURE. I started using hints just to know where to go and what to do because I was tired of trudging through this mess.
Adding to the nausea is excessive fog and haze in practically every scene. It was even overdone in the bathroom scene. I value my eye sight....speaking of which, there is a hos with a pumpkin you have to turn to find items and most everything is in the dark. I rarely take hints in a hos, but this one, I had to take so many because I could not see. Are they trying to make us go blind???
It is a total shame about this because the game does have atmosphere and potential. I really wanted to like this, but it was ruined by the excessive inventory needed in so many scenes and the difficulty in finding everything needed, and then remembering where everything has to go. I don't play a game to get worn out and if that is what a demo does, I do not have the energy nor the desire to finish the game. Going around in circles is the gist of this game. It is far from being enjoyable...and is more a trick than a treat for Halloween.

Graphics and atmosphere are nice, but everywhere you turn there are puzzles. I did not finish the demo because of it. Came across two HOS and there were puzzles in them, too. I don't mind some puzzles, but when they start putting them in HOS, it's a no buy for me. I do not want to spend most of game time with puzzles and that clearly is what you are doing as well as collecting inventory and going back and forth constantly. It was tedious and not enjoyable.
There are more puzzles than gameplay in this. You get to replay ONLY 25 of them in the Extras (there are tons more than that). You will even be rewarded with more puzzles in the Bonus after you gain your collectibles. I saw no replay of HOS....maybe because there are hardly any. Why this is in a category of Hidden Object is beyond me and very misleading. It is disappointing and very aggravating that there is no balance of gameplay in this.

There is so much going back and forth in this that it makes you dizzy. It is way too much. The graphics are atmospheric and the game has a uniqueness of its own, but I did not enjoy the gameplay, which was confusing at times. So many things need inventory and I didn't have it until way down the road. There is a jump map, but I found the back and forth to be tiring. I am also adamant about mini and story type hos, which were all I came across in the demo except for one where you are finding dumb symbols again and in an extremely foggy room. They are so cheaply done....like nobody cares. I almost refuse to buy games with them any more. More emphasis is on the numerous mini games, as usual.
There is a great deal to look at in scenes which makes it very interesting....quite a bit of effort put into them, but the gameplay did it in for me.
